Oh brother, this view concerning PED’s is the only thing weak around here.

lol, nice book. I stopped at the first lie, where you say you’re not a pacfan. Who are you trying to BS? No offense meant, but really everyone know’s you’re deeply pactarded.

philly shell

you can now walk into a ring and shoot your opponent in the face and all you’ll get is a maximum of one year suspension. Though you’d still be allowed to fight in Mexico or Texas during the suspension.

“Fact is there’s no such thing as a clean fighter or a fair fight. The best always use some sort of edge”, which must include Pacquiao*, which means that YOU’re the one insisting that he’s breaking the rules to maintain “some sort of edge”, i.e., CHEATING whether you like it or not. also, provide specific examples of fighters or athletes who were busted doping without any drop-off in performance following their fines, suspensions, etc? otherwise, Mcgwire, Bonds, Sosa, and Ramirez DID experience severe and career-ending declines following their respective busts. in boxing, you have Mosley, Toney, and Jones Jr. who peaked beFore testing dirty. after all, the entire purpose of doping is to sustain/extend an athlete’s prime. without it, their primes evaporate soon thereafter. meanwhile, please direct me to the source of your accusation that Ali juiced(?!). otherwise, tons of holding, putting weight on fighters, using elbows, hitting low, and headbutting are illegal and dirty tactics, which are regulated according to the competency of the ref. there is nothing hidden or secret about it. quite frankly, you not only lack a fundamental understanding of Boxing but of Sports in general.

Posted August 22, 2012 4:18 pm

So I take it that in your mind all the fighters I named are cheats instead of great legends? LOL! Look, maybe this sport is too ill for your taste. You have to first show me that most fighters fight fair, then we can talk fairness and honesty. You sound crazy to me, becasue fighting is all about deception and advantages and these are mutually exculsive from honesty and fairness. IT”S A FIGHT! If you want honesty and fairplay stay at hom enad play monopoly. If you ever get a chance sit down and seriously talk to an pro athlete about what’s done to win. I learned when I started boxing that there is no fair fight,

maybe gloves and not being able to use forearms and elbows is “weak”(?) but that’s what RULES and REGULATIONS are for to ensure fair and honest competitionin EVERY Sport. otherwise, the most popular, wealthiest, and influential will game and exploit a weak system for personal gain and interest, i.e., not a Sport, i.e., Not fair or honest competition, i.e., NOT Boxing.

“So the use doesn’t make it unfair the rule banning it does” (lol). on one level, i have to hand it to you for sheer nerve and sophistry. on the other, you’ve articulated precisely why the boxing opinions of Pacquiao* fanboys is meaningless along with their devoted worship of this drug cheat (according to You). Boxing remains a Sport, with Rules, and ample conditions for fair and honest competition. accordingly, artificial supplements whether they be PEDs or PCP are ILLEGAL and those caught using illegal substances for the purpose gaining an unfair advantage over an opponent are CHEATERS Not ATG fighters. conversely, everyone abiding by the rules results in the same level playing field as everyone juicing. so why juice at all IF a level and competitive playing field is the goal? besides, No Amount of superior state-of-the-art everything is gonna spare the likes of Kirkland, Lopez, Khan, or Ortiz from experiencing defeat at the fists of presumably inferior and less-prepared opponents. money and influence can certainly buy the façade of greatness (e.g. Pacquiao*) but it can’t sustain it.

TARK, those athletes know full well what Conte’s giving them. Mosley admitted he knowingly took the cream and the clear under Conte supervision when he was forced to testify on the record. That came after he tried to sue Conte claiming he didn’t know. Risking a jail sentence Mosley fessed up.

First of all, get real. This bubblegum fairyland where everything is completely fair doesn’t exist anywhere but your mind. Fact is there’s no such thing as a clean fighter or a fair fight. The best always use some sort of edge. Ali did tons of holding and putting his weight on fighters, Tyson used his elbows when frustrated, Trinidad hit low when he started losing, Evander used his head, Hopkins uses all of the above and then some. Haglar is the only fighter I’ve ever seen that was completely clean. And comparing PED use to bad judging makes no sense. One is a fighter taking something into his body to make it perform at it’s maximum while the other is simply keeps us from knowing who really won the fight. Boxing isn’t like football, baseball, or certain olympic events. The weight limitations alone make it difficult to use very effective PEDs. And explain to me how using PEDs isn’t fair play? The only ting that causes anything to be unfair is the rule itself because could used, it would be even ground, right? So the use doesn’t make it unfair the rule banning it does. Besides, How is using any more unfair than Floyd making $40 million per fight and being able to afford the best trainers, sparring partners, equipment and docs fighting a guy who hasn’t cleared $1 million in a single fight who can’t afford the same training? It’s the same exact thing. With use of PEDs that same fighter can get himself closer to even ground with FLoyd. That fair play arguement is doesn’t stand to reason.

The PED debate is for the weak. The strong want fight results, the weak want test results. The strong believes the true test is in the ring, the weak want testing everywhere except the ring.

This says a lot about the integrity of the California athletic commision.

Posted August 22, 2012 7:12 am

This was a political finding, and it’s BS all the way… NO amount of PED is allowed in your system …. Just stay away from Victor Conte because he’s never told his athletes he’s giving them PED’s. The breathing aparatus Conte employed for Berto was no doubt the delivery system and Conte probably thought the amount was so small it would never be detected. Conte’s athletes find out they’ve been using PED’s when they fail a PED test … which has happened more than a few times.

The Best!

WTF is happening, i guess Hopkins, Mosley, Holyfield, Toney, so on and so on made it okay to JUICE, it seems like a lot more have followed.

da ugly truth

Berto is gnna end up like left hook Lacy, he has to much damn muscle to compete 12 rds… If he dsnt knock u out in the first 6 rds, then he’s got big problems… Before Berto gets cought with Peds or getting knocked out, he needs to move up to 154 and fight cotto, dat would be a great fight..

If boxing had a better track record, I’d try to believe the statement about the test being a mistake.

Berto v Bradley is a fight i have wanted to see since they both appeared on the main stage. I think their styles would make an awesome fight. Very competitive.

the same “commission” that stonewalled Margarito apparently has a heart after all?! albeit a biased and crooked one. Btw, EVERY commission also decided to disregard Mosley’s grand-jury testimony regarding his own “unknowing” and “unintentional” incident(?) of juicing. apparently, ignorance is only a viable defense for “American” fighters. otherwise, there are NO degrees of cheating in a combat sport. combined with the increasingly blatant scorecards let NO American fight-fan ever again spout their self-righteous B.S. when condemning “corruption” in other countries. bias and corruption is simply a bit more sophisticated and institutional in the U.S.A. but not by much. fortunately(?), King, Arum, et. al. can rely on customary American double-standards to complete their con jobs.

Berto has stamina issues and will wilt against tough foes. He would be perfect for Bradley who would uotspeed him even though Berto can be super fast at times.

let’s make the obvious fight: Berto vs. Bradley. Let’s see if Bradley can break his losing streak. Let see how Berto does after having been rocked by Ortiz.

Berto took the test, Berto tested positive. Peterson took the test, Peterson tested positive. Both are confirmed juice heads, both made up lame excuses. Berto gets licensed in CA, Peterson gets to keep his IBF belt. Cue up Don King: “Only in America!”

In other words. He ALMOST had the banned substance completely hidden but enough was allowed left to show a positive test. Cheat. I know I worry about my food being contaminated with PEDs all the time.

I kinda want to see Berto vs. Mayweather.

Berto could be so good but he lacks dicipline imo

Posted August 21, 2012 3:48 pm

Andre Berto has an awful lot of lost ground to make up. Unilkely he will be able to reverse the loss to Victor Ortiz. Ortiz has dropped in ranking in the meantime so even if Berto could win a rematch, the victory would be somewhat diminished. Perhaps Andre Berto should fight James Kirkland, a guy mentioned elsewhere; both guys are in similiar situations. True, they’re in different divisions but perhaps a catchweight match, somewhere between 147 and 154.
