Super-Confident Dereck Chisora Sees Klitschko Trilogy, Says He’ll Fight Wladimir After He’s Beaten Vitali

By James Slater: Not too long to go now until the most interesting heavyweight title fight on the immediate horizon goes down. Twice-beaten Brit Dereck Chisora (one defeat legit, the other time a blatant robbery) will soon be leaving for Germany, his big night against WBC heavyweight king Vitali Klitschko set for Feb. 18th.

Not only is “Del Boy” utterly convinced he’ll score the shock upset and defeat “Dr. Iron Fist,” he is looking at fighting a trilogy of fights with Vitali and younger brother Wladimir. As per the usual, standard Klitschko fight clause, if Chisora were to beat Vitali, he would have to grant the 40-year-old a rematch, and Chisora would also have to face Ring Magazine, WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO king Wladimir either before or after that. Chisora is actually hoping this will happen!

“This is going to be a trilogy against the Klitschko brothers,” Chisora told The Star. “When I beat him [Vitali] I have to fight the other brother Wladimir and then Vitali again.”

Of course, most fans do not see Chisora getting that far, with the majority of fight fans and experts predicting yet another Klitschko beat-down. Still, fans are excited and also interested in the fight set for two weeks this coming Saturday; with some even expecting something approaching a genuine two-sided rumble. We haven’t seen either Klitschko involved in one of those for quite some time and it would be nice if Chisora were a heavyweight capable of testing, hurting and forcing Vitali backwards, at least for a spell.

Chisora sure is unfazed at the thought of facing the giant, in fact he is relishing the idea of hard combat. It goes without saying that if Chisora does manage to unseat Vitali a fight between he and Wladimir would be an absolutely monstrous event.

David Haye failed badly in his shot at a Klitschko, could it be that another Londoner gets in there and delivers the great fight he is advertising? The Klitschkos involved in a trilogy? How that would add interest to the heavyweight division!
