Things clearly boiled in Hopkins’ mind over night, however, as yesterday in New York, “The Executioner” well and truly lived up to his nickname. Annoyed that anyone would have the nerve to suggest his astonishing success is down to cheating, Hopkins all but threatened to kill Pascal in the ring!
“When a guy says I’m eating some kind of candy, that makes me angry,” Hopkins said. “Don’t be surprised if he dies in the ring on May 21. Don’t be surprised if I kill him. That’s how angry I am.”
Hopkins, as fans may recall, got himself into some trouble when he came out with his “I’ll never let. White boy beat me;” ahead of his big fight with Joe Calzaghe.
