8/1 Haye To Beat Both Klitschkos In 2011

DESPITE DAVID HAYE’s claim that he had bet on himself to beat Audley Harrison in the 3rd round (15/2 with Hills to win in 3rd, 15/8 to win before end of 3rd)and advised people to back him to do so, bookmakers William Hill say that the fight produced a record betting turnover – and a record profit for them!

‘David may well be a financial beneficiary of his third round victory, and it was certainly an expensive round for us – costing us a hefty six figure payout, however, we decided to take on all comers who wanted to back Audley and deliberately remained industry best price, so with punters deciding that the value for money bet was a Harrison victory, we cleaned up on the fight overall – which produced a record industry betting turnover for a world title fight between two Brits of in excess of £5million’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘David may well claim he deliberately chose to win in Round 3 but no boxer can ever guarantee infallibly to name the round in which he wins as there are so many unpredictable factors involved’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.’Now, if a boxer who lost in Round 3 claimed he had done so deliberately, that would be a different matter…..’

HAYE IS NOW 8/1 WITH WILLIAM HILL TO BEAT BOTH KLITSCHKO BROTHERS, AND 2/1 TO BEAT EITHER OF THEM, DURING 2011. ‘David has to meet at least one of the Klitschkos next year to maintain his credibiltiy’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
