Gilbert vs. Ouma on September 25th – Tickets will be on sale on Saturday

September 3rd, RENO – Tickets will be on sale Saturday, September 4th for the highly anticipated Reno Xtreme Fight VI, Joey Gilbert (20-2, 15 KOs) vs. Kassim “The Dream” Ouma (26-7-1, 16 KOs) for the vacant NABA middleweight title. The winner will earn a top 15 world ranking.

In a fight fan’s dream match, two warriors with completely different backgrounds will meet in what promises to be an action packed battle. Ouma, who was a former child soldier in Uganda, escaped the horrors of war through boxing. He made his way to the United States and soon became the Jr. Middleweight World Champion. Gilbert, who found boxing at the University of Nevada, Reno, discovered a talent and a passion for the sweet science. He is looking to regain his position in the middleweight division by taking on a tough test in Ouma.

Ouma left his family in Florida and set up training camp in Riverside, CA, which is renown for its world-class trainers and sparring. Gilbert stayed closer to home and is preparing for Ouma in the mountains near Lake Tahoe, utilizing the high elevation.

Reno Xtreme Fights is a boxing and mixed martial arts series of events between Grand Sierra Resort and Casino and Let’s Get it on Promotions. Doors will open at 7 pm. for the fight on Saturday, September 25th with the first bout at 8 p.m. in the Grand Theatre. Tickets are $75, $55 and $35.
