News: Brewster-Seldon Postponed; Warriors Boxing; Soto-Karass vs Lau

Indianapolis, IN-Relentless Events and CBelieve regretfully inform the public that the November 29th HomeComing fight featuring Lamon Brewster vs. Bruce Seldon at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis has been postponed. Brewster had contracted stomach flu in the final days leading up to the fight and would not be ready to compete on Saturday..

Brewster fell ill suddenly and after consulting with a physician the determination was made that the fight could not go on as scheduled.

“I know a lot of people are going to be disappointed but I’m more disappointed because I was ready to go and put on a great show for my hometown fans,” says the former WBO heavyweight champion. “I have been looking forward to fighting in Indianapolis for a long time now and for this to happen was just unfortunate.

“I contracted a virus that is going around. I don’t know where I got it from but I hope to make this Seldon fight happen, maybe even before the end of the year.

“I want to thank my fans, the city of Indianapolis and Conseco Fieldhouse for their support and all the love I’ve received. I look forward to rescheduling the fight soon.”

“Obviously we’re extremely disappointed but under the circumstances that have taken place we understand and hope that we can battle Lamon soon,” said Seldon’s manager James Kurtz. “We’re looking forward to working with Relentless Events again and rescheduling this in the near future.”

Ticket holders may retain their tickets until a new date is established, or may return tickets for refund at the original point of purchase.
