KEA Boxing Is Back On Friday, November 10: Presenting “Brawls At The Birchwood II”

New Jersey, (September 29, 2006) – November 10 th is the second installment of the “Brawls at the Birchwood”. After a very successful debut in August, KEA Boxing continues to provide elegant ballroom boxing at its best. After 5 shows at the nearby Hanover Marriott, KEA Boxing moved up the road to the Birchwood Manor, and the show improved dramatically. Lyndhurst’s electrifying super middleweight, Wayne “Lights Out” Johnsen 13-1, 8 KO will be featured in the main event.

After serving as one of middleweight-champion Jermain Taylor’s primary sparring partners during his preparation for Bernard Hopkins, Johnsen improved his arsenal. He is riding a 3-fight knockout streak into this fight and is ready to step up his competition.

In the co-feature of the evening, Bayonne brawler, Dennis Sharpe, 17-2-3, 4 KO’s will be looking for redemption after a loss in a war at the Birchwood to the undefeated Paul Wolak, 10-0, 6 KO’s in August. Sharpe will be taking on Ohio’s Anthony Little 7-4, 1 KO who himself is coming off a tough split decision loss to an undefeated fighter.

In an effort to improve upon a card that was stacked with some of New Jersey’s finest rising talent, undefeated prospects Alex “The BrickCity Bullet” Perez, 6-0, 5 KO’s and West New York’s Antonio Espinosa, 5-0, 1 KO have been added to the show.

Perez, a junior middleweight from Newark has been very impressive to date. He has stopped 5 of 6 opponents with 3 knockouts coming in round number 1.

Bruising, junior welterweight Antonio is making his New Jersey debut at the Birchwood. He is coming off of an impressive unanimous decision at the legendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia.

Also returning are 2 Jersey City fighters, bantamweight, JV Tuazon, 0-0-1 and lightweight Nicky Demarco, 1-0, 1 KO. In August, Tuazon fought to a draw with a tough and defensive opponent in crowd pleasing effort. Demarco blew his opponent out early, stopping him in the 1st round.
