HBO Hits Houston Texas; Scale Watch For Mega-showdown This Saturday Night!

17.07.04 – Carlos Kalinchuk: This afternoon HBO in association with Miller Brewing Company and Main Events, filled in the last remaining square before the fighters step in the ring tomorrow night at the Reliant Arena in Houston Texas. In a room that was meant to accommodate 30 people comfortably, it looked as though over a hundred plus people turned out for what is expected to be this biggest fight card of the year.

Although all the fighters eventually made weight, a perplexed Teddy Reid appeared flummoxed when the scale and the commission read that he was 1lb and ¾ ounces over the contracted weight (147 lbs). Fortunately, an hour and a half later and he weighed in at exactly 147 lbs. Now all that’s left to do is fight!
