Exclusive interview: Jason Quigley - “This is the perfect time for me to shine”

Former amateur standout Jason Quigley of Ireland is now one of the hottest prospects in boxing. The unbeaten middleweight is 10-0(9) and on Saturday night’s Canelo Alvarez-Amir Khan card in Las Vegas, the 24-year-old will take a step up in class against the experienced James De La Rosa.

Quigley, who is signed by Golden Boy and Sheer Sports, is hugely excited about the fight and is looking forward to putting on an impressive performance.

Prior to Saturday night’s super middleweight title fight between Badou Jack and Lucian Bute, Showtime’s Jim Gray conducted a brief interview with former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. During this interview the now retired Mayweather mentioned having had discussions with CBS and Showtime about a possible comeback at some point in the foreseeable future. He indicated that talks surrounded big money mentioned nine figures. But Mayweather also said that he enjoyed being on the retired said of retirement.
