Results: Lomachenko beats Rigondeaux
WBO super featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (10-1, 8 KOs) defeated previously unbeaten Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-1, 11 KOs) by a 6th round injury stoppage on Saturday night in their long awaited match on ESPN at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Lomachenko looked at least 20 pounds heavier than Rigondeaux. There was no way Rigondeaux was going to win the fight based on Lomachenko’s size advantage.

Unbeaten Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois (6-0, 6 KOs) picked up his 6th consecutive knockout in stopping journeyman Dorian Darch (12-6-1, 1 KOs) in the 2nd round on Saturday night at the Copper Box Arena, London, England. Dubois, 20, knocked Darch down 4 times in the fight with 3 knockdowns coming in round 3. The fight was halted after the 3rd knockdown in round 3.

Friday, December 8, 2017, a young talented prospect was out-boxed by a world-class veteran of the sport as Ahmed Elibiali (16-1-0, 13 KOs) fell to Jean Pascal (32-5-1, 19 KOs) in the sixth round of a scheduled ten-round bout at the Hialeah Park Casino in Hialeah, FL. The event was televised on FS1.
Elbiali, an Egyptian-born Miami local, entered the ring wearing blue shorts with white trim and red gloves. Pascal, a Haitian-born Canadian resident, fought in all black trunks and shiny gold boxing gloves. Both fighters were received warmly by the South Florida audience and touched gloves professionally.

Gary Corcoran says Jeff Horn is guilty of head-butting; says he’ll bite Horn if he butts him!
Gary Corcoran of the UK is a big underdog going into next week’s (December 13) challenge of WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn. Horn, who shocked the world by beating Manny Pacquiao to take the belt in July, has vowed to prevent the once-beaten Corcoran from scoring a tremendous upset of his own when the two meet in Brisbane.
But Corcoran caused something of a sensation at the final presser before the fight, firstly by calling Horn a dirty fighter, one who deliberately used his head in the Pacquiao fight, and then by stating how, if he is butted intentionally during Wednesday’s fight, he will respond by biting the unbeaten champion.

Top Rank boss Bob Arum is a whole lot more optimistic than a number of other people are when it comes to an Anthony Joshua-Joseph Parker heavyweight unification fight taking place soon. Arum, speaking with The Los Angeles Times when going through the early 2018 schedule of fights to go out on ESPN, said he feels the fight will get done once the two sides agree over the purse split (a scenario Arum says he feels will indeed unfold – “with a little tugging and so forth.”)
Results: Luis Ortiz stops Daniel Martz
Heavyweight Luis ‘King Kong’ Ortiz (28-0, 24 KOs) kept his unbeaten record perfect with a 2nd round knockout win over Daniel Martz (16-6-1, 13 KOs) on Friday night in front of a good size crowd at the Hialeah Park in Miami, Florida.
Ortiz, 38, hit Martz with a left hand to the head that torpedoed him into the canvas. Martz went down face first, and he never attempted to get back up before the fight was stopped. Referee Samuel Burgos stopped the fight officially at 0:43 of round 2.
