The Klitschko’s have been notorious for securing every advantage in many of their fights in the past, using numerous different [psychological] tactics to unsettle their opposition, which in Fury’s case included a postponement to the original date, as well as fight-week rows over gloves and foam beneath the canvas – all things the new champion says had no effect upon him, despite the best efforts of the Klitschko team.

Following Fury’s fantastic win over Klitschko in Dusseldorf, Wilder wrote two social media messages, the first of which said – ‘I see you @Tyson Fury #ImComingForYou,’ followed by another message in block capitals that read, ‘I’m officially the best heavyweight champ of the world. Haters can acknowledge it or look foolish trying to deny it.”

Despite Fury being a mandatory challenger, a rematch clause [unusually] existed in the contract, and the 39 year old former champion says he plans to exercise it, though gave Fury his due credit for the win, admitting the 6’9″ star was extremely quick for his size.

After 18 successful title defenses Wladimir surprisingly lost number 19 against mandatory challenger Tyson Fury. It is the 4th loss in his 68th professional career fight. Over 12 rounds the Britain earned his place as the new IBF/IBO World Heavyweight Champion and WBA/WBO Superchampion. Wladimir was never able to find the right strategy to harm the agile Fury.
