There is still no word from Britain’s WBA (interim) middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr (19-1, 14ko) regarding his next move, with February’s win over Russia’s Dmitry Chudinov the last time the Brighton based fighter stepped between the ropes.

After he wouldn’t vacate his WBA (interim) 160lb title – thus ensuring negotiations for the rematch with WBO mandatory Billy Joe Saunders broke down recently – it would appear that Brighton’s Chris Eubank Jr is to ultimately stay on the WBA route according to promoter Frank Warren – a road which leads to all things triple G.

At the same time he used the opportunity to take a pot shot at bitter rival and WBO mandatory Billy Joe Saunders (21-0, 11ko) and to convey his disappointment at being unable to join the Mayweather family out in Vegas for the big fight.
