Ghana’s Abraham Osei Bonsu has sworn to overcome all the challenges thrown at him by Jonathan Perez of Colombia and return home with the WPBF Intercontinental Super Featherweight championship when the two fight for the vacant belt in the USA on November 17.

Osei Bonsu (10-1-1, 9 KOs) who is coming off a failed bid for the WBO Africa Super Featherweight title when he suffered his first career defeat to Aphiwe Mbobiya in South Africa last December, says the experience garnered by fighting outside Ghana for the first time will come in handy when he faces 29 year old Perez (35-15, 28 KOs) at the Lakeland Event Centre, Florida.

Fresh from bringing down Korean boxers to train and fight professionally in Ghana, Gh Bosslink Promotions CEO, Collins-Bio Donkor has now also struck a deal for British boxer, Adam Taylor to come and hone his skills in the famous West African country.

Boxing247.com can exclusively report that Taylor, a super middleweight who has as a semi-pro fought all over the world but never in Africa and who now has a professional record of 2-1 and dreaming of a world title triumph, will arrive in Accra next month to train for some few days before making his Africa debut on the undercard of highly rated WBO Africa featherweight champion, Isaac Dogboe’s unification fight against Filipino, Tabanao in the Ghanaian capital on August 26.

Lee Kyu Suk claimed a second straight first round win in only his second professional fight after stopping Ghana’s James Lamptey in a Welterweight contest on the undercard of Isaac Dogboe-Edward Kakembo WBO Africa championship in Accra on Saturday night.

Lee who arrived in the West African country two months ago on a 6-month training tour to hone his boxing skills, launched his professional career with a round one victory over another Ghanaian, Francis Gakpetor back in April and the Korean was at it again on Saturday night at the Accra Sports Stadium in front of dignitaries including former Ghana president, Jerry Rawlings and former boxing world champion and Hall of Famer, Azumah Nelson.

All is set for the first Azumah Nelson inspired VIP Fight Night Saturday night at the Ballroom of the five-star Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in the Ghana capital, Accra following successful weigh-in by the fighters on the bill.

Nelson, the former 3-time world champion and Hall of Famer has personally selected the boxers for the black-tie event being staged by Hemann Promotions in association with Azumah Nelson Boxing and sanctioned by the Ghana Boxing Authority.

Victor Kpadenou has a tough job on his hands when he steps into the ring next week against American, Morgan ‘Big Chief’ Fitch in a Light heavyweight contest at the Meadow Racetrack and Casino in Washington, USA.

Kpadenou (10-10, 5 KOs), the former IBU super welterweight champion of the world is still looking for his first victory in the United States having lost his two opening fights in the ‘Mecca of boxing’ since arriving late last year.

He lost on unanimous points to both Earl Newman on December 29, 2015 and Godson Noel on January 22 this year but the man from Benin in West Africa is confident he will make this opportunity count against the undefeated Fitch (16-0-1, 7 KOs) on June 18.

Fireworks are expected in the ring on the night of June 11, 2016 when the curtains are finally drawn on the Azumah Nelson inspired VIP Fight Night Black Tie edition at the 5-Star Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel Ballroom in the Ghana capital, Accra.

A total of six professional fights headlined by the clash for the West Africa Boxing Union (WABU) Super Featherweight title between belt holder, Wahab Oluwaseum and challenger, Michael Pappoe will whet the appetite of distinguished guests expected at the event.

As well, warm-up amateur fights and a women’s exhibition bout will precede the main events.
