Boxing News: Chambers KOs Castillo, Tsurkan Ready For Angulo

PHILADELPHIA (OCTOBER 3, 2008)—“Fast” Eddie Chambers made his homecoming bout a successful one as he took care of stubborn Livin Castillo at 2:59 of round five of their scheduled eight round bout the headlined a six bout card at The Legendary Blue Horizon. Chambers was effective as he used his decided hand speed advantage to land an assortment of punches that kept Castillo from getting comfortable at any point in the fight..

Chambers finally turned up the heat by hurting Castillo late in round five and finished him off with a left that was followed by a right. Castillo turned his back in an effort to have the fight stopped as he was under heavy assault from the IBF number-seven ranked Heavyweight in the world.

“He was a tough guy. I hit him with some good shots and I know I hurt him a few times” said a victorious Chambers.

“I played with him a little too much and I should have had him out there before that. I am going to get right back in the gym and look for something bigger maybe in December.”

Castillo was taken to the hospital after the fight with an apparent jaw injury.

The co-feature was a successful American debut from Anna “The Viking Princess” Ingman as the undefeated Swedish fighter scored a unanimous decision over Cimberly Harris in a six round ladies Jr. Middleweight bout.

Ingman showed very good boxing technique as she used a nice jab to set up some solid right’s and hooks off the jab to win on all cards by scores of 60-54, 59-55 and 58-56.

The fight of the night saw Joselito Collado score a four round unanimous decision over David Orosco in a Featherweight bout that had the crowd on their feet for much of the twelve minutes.

Collado floored Orosco once but Orosco showed no quit and scored some tremendous flurries of his own.

The card was promoted by Vernoca L. Michael & Blue Horizon Boxing Promotions Inc along with Goossen-Tutor & Score America
