Main Boxing Event Announced For River Valley Fight Night

Fort Smith, AR – TheDailySports.com Boxing Promotions has announced that Justin Flanagan, 6-1 (4 KOs) will take on Mike “Action” Jackson for the Vacant Arkansas State Middleweight Title as the Main Event for the second installment of the River Valley Fight Night Series, which is scheduled for March 24, 2007 at the Kay Rodgers Park Expo Center, located on 4400 Midland Blvd in Fort Smith..

With the opportunity to put the vacant Arkansas State Middleweight title on the line as our main event, I am confident that this second installment of the ten shows we have planned for this year will be another success”, stated Bill Calogero president of TheDailySports.com. He added, “I will continue to put together the best possible cards available and hope to have a World Title bout scheduled for Fort Smith sometime over the summer. As long as the fans continue to support us, we will bring the quality shows the area has longed for.”

Flanagan, who has just signed a promotional contract with TheDailySports.com Boxing Promotions, said, “I am glad to finally have a real team behind me and can’t tell you how excited I am to be fighting for the Arkansas State Middleweight Title”, from his home in Charleston, AR.

Mike “Action” Jackson is coming off a loss at the hands of 12-2 Zane Marks on June 17, 2006 and hopes to hand Flanagan his second loss and go home with the Arkansas State Middleweight Title. “I told Bill that I could beat any middleweight he had on his January 20th show in Fort Smith and within two weeks, we closed the deal to fight for the title I want”, stated Jackson from his home in Mena, AR.

In the co-feature, Kenny “The Raven” Craven, 28-18 (23 KOs), now fighting at his natural weight of Cruiserweight, will battle the tough Lloyd Bryan, 22-15 (10 KOs) in a six-round cruiserweight bout.

In a special feature bout, Fort Smith’s Own, Mandy Todd will make her pro-debut in female action.
Albert Martin, 1-1 (1 KO) and Joe Kenny, 1-1, both from Russellville, AR., are scheduled to return in separate Cruiserweight bouts. Also scheduled to return from devastating first round KO victories are Robert “The Brawler” Bentley, 3-4 (3 KOs), fighting out of Fort Smith, AR. and Phillip “Sweet & Low” Lars, 1-1 (1 KO) from Shreveport, Louisiana.

Also scheduled to appear is Light Heavyweight DeMarcus “The Main Event” Clark, 1-1 (1 KO), and Heavyweights Detroy “The Destroyer” Jones, 1-0 (1 KO) and Kevin “The Wild Man” Newsom, 2-0 (2 KOs).
