Cornelius Ellis to take on Joey Abell

PHILADELPHIA (February 6, 2007)—Cornelius Ellis of Wilson, North Carolina has stepped in and now will fight Joey “Minnesota Ice” Abell in a six round Heavyweight bout at The Legendary Blue Horizon this Friday night. Eliis steps in for Lavon Warner who was replacing the original opponent Arron Lyons, who had to withdraw from the fight with a broken arm. Lyons will be in attendance on Friday night with an eye on Abell for a possible April rematch..

Despite his 10-12-1 with six knockout record, Ellis gave undefeated heavyweight Eddie Chambers his toughest test as he dropped a majority decision. Ellis also went the distance with former WBC Heavyweight champion, Oliver McCall
