Donald Camarena Headlines June 24

The event is scheduled for June 24 at the Saint Vrain Memorial Building at Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Avenue..

Local promising professional boxers Jesus Noriega (Longmont), Victor Villereal (Longmont), Jamie Wirshborn (Ft. Collins) will be battling for victory as will Steve Marquez (Ft. Morgan).

Undefeated amateur sensations Joe Silva from Thornton and Lillian Camarena from Denver will fight for the first time in front of a home town crowd as they started their professional careers on the road.

The event will be punctuated and headlined by Denver’s 5 time Super Lightweight champion Donald Camarena (17-2).

World rated Donald Camarena will show why he is considered a top contender as he continues on the road to a world title. Camarena has captured 5 titles, the InsideBoxing.com Rocky Mountain Regional – Canadian-American-Mexican – WBC World Youth – WBC Intercontinental Mundo Hispano and the WBC Continental Americas championships.

Camarena is fresh off a May 5th 10 round unanimous win over former WBA PanAfrican champion Frans Hantindi. Two judges gave all but one round to Camarena while the third had it a shut-out.

The Co-main event pairs Super Lightweights Jesus Noriega (4-1) against Steve Marquez (5-7-1) in 6 round contest.

Supporting cast has Super Middleweight Victor Villereal (2-0) fighting William Quintana, making his pro debut out of Nebraska. Jaime Wirshborn enters into his 2nd professional fight against Ruben Rodriguez (1-4) also from Nebraska in a Super Welterweight contest. Bantamweight Lillian Camarena (1-0), the wife of Donald makes her Colorado debut against LeAnne Villareal (1-7-1) from New Mexico.

Negotiations are in progress for opponents for Super Flyweight Joe Silva (2-0) and Welterweight David Lee Marquez (3-1)
