Jorge Paez Jr Makes His Las Vegas Debut March 24

23.03.06 – Sycuan Ringside Promotions’ undefeated teenage sensation Jorge Paez Jr. makes his Las Vegas debut when he fights on a nationally televised card Friday, March 24, at the Orleans Hotel & Casino. Paez Jr., from Mexicali, Mexico, meets by far his most experienced opponent in veteran Miguel Angel Galindo in a four-round lightweight bout at the Orleans Hotel & Casino..

Paez Jr., the 18-year-old son of former International Boxing Federation featherweight champion Jorge Paez, has a record of 6-0 with six knockouts.

Galindo, 27, from Mexico City, has a record of 9-15 with six knockouts, but has faced former IBF, World Boxing Council and World Boxing Organization featherweight champion Manuel Medina.

The card will be televised by Telefutura as part of its “Solo Boxeo” series.

Paez Sr. fought professionally from 1984 through 2003, had a record of 79-14-5 with 51 knockouts and was the IBF 126-pound champion from 1988 through 1990.

Also appearing on the card March 24 in Las Vegas promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and Guilty Boxing is Medina against Javier Alvarez in a 12-round IBF super featherweight title eliminator and former United States Boxing Association heavyweight champion Tye Fields in a 10-round bout against Ed Mahone.
