01.03.06 – Interview by Ike Ewereuzor: Ike: You were supposed to fight Lucian Bute in March but it seems like Bute is now fighting another opponent. What’s going on?
Mock: As I told you before, Bute is a chicken and this kid is so scared that he keeps running from me. They called for me now I’m ready for him, he doesn’t want to fight now. Let them keep looking for easy fights for him and I dont really need Bute. They know I would knock his ass out so they choose an easy opponent for him. Now, that Carl Froch pulled out his fight with Brian Magee, I’m willing to step in and fight Brian Magee in March. They should contact my people when he gets this message and I’m willing to go to UK to fight him in March since Bute has chickened out. Now, the fans must know who the real super middleweight contenders are, Bute is not one of them …they keep giving him easy fights and now they try to make him step up his game.
They call me out now they are scared to fight me. Who knows that Argentina guy he’s fighting? That guy is not even in the top 15 in the world. Let Bute fight me and beat me so we know that he deserves to be in the top 10..
Ike: What’s your prediction for the Lacy-Calzaghe fight?
Mock: I like both guys, they are good fighters and whoever gets his thing going will get his hands raised . But the bottom line is whoever wins should give “Leopard” Lolenga Mock a chance, the Leopard is starving so I want to fight the winner of this fight.
Ike: Your thoughts on boxers like Vitaly Tsypko and Jurgen Brähmer?
Mock: Oh Man, I have no thoughts on this kid Tsypko. He just got his ass whooped and he needs to get his things together. I don’t think that Tsypko wants any piece of Mock now. Brahmer is a good fighter but they will not fight me. I’m ranked WBO No.4 and willing to fight any of these Super Middleweights. I want to fight Mikkel Kessler, Rudy Markussen or any top ten Super Middleweights. Lets make this divisiona little more exciting, these guys don’t want to fight Lolenga Mock
Ike: What’s the future plans do Team Palle have for you?
Mock: I don’t know what they have for me but I haven’t talked to them about the whole thing and will see what they want to put on the table for Lumumba Boy. I would like to fight Brian Magee in Belfast, Ireland, I’m willing to put my belt on the line or a fight with Chanet Jackson or others in the top ten can happen. I’m willing to go to Belfast, Ireland and replace Carl Froch for the March 31 date and put my WBO Intercontienental super middleweight title online.
Ike: What’s the reaction of boxing fans since your fight with Bute is not happening for March?
Mock: I received a lot of emails from boxing fans in Canada and around the world. They are not happy that Bute is avoiding me. They said they really want to see Bute tested. There has been a lot Media attention on this matter. Thanks for the interview and to all my fans, I love you all and I am right here I´m not going nowhere. Please, get in touch with Brian Magee people and ask them to give Lolenga Mock people a call. Like I said I’m WBO #4 and I want to fight the winner of Calzaghe-Lacy
