Jeff Lacy to fight in UK Oct. 1st, will face former British light-heavy champ Tony Oakey in white collar event

Jeff Lacy - Former IBF super-middleweight king Jeff Lacy is still not ready to walk away from the sport he loves. “Left Hook,” now aged 39 and coming off a loss to Sullivan Barrera - a 4th round stoppage loss back in January of last year - will face former British light-heavyweight champ Tony Oakey in a white collar show set for Bristol, England on October 1st. Lacy, 27-6(18) will be making his first UK appearance since that famous night when Joe Calzaghe dethroned him and arrived as a star on the world stage.

Luis Upsets Dargan, Jeff Lacy Should Be Retired

Jeff Lacy - photo by David Spagnolo/Main Events - Seven to one underdog Tony “Lightning” Luis handed hyped lightweight Karl “Dynamite” Dargan his first loss with a unanimous ten round decision on an ESPN 2 Friday Night Fight card at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

photo by David Spagnolo/Main Events – Seven to one underdog Tony “Lightning” Luis handed hyped lightweight Karl “Dynamite” Dargan his first loss with a unanimous ten round decision on an ESPN 2 Friday Night Fight card at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

WBA number 13 Canadian Luis (19-2, 7 kos) out fought Dargan (17-1, 9 kos) from the second round on and it was a long night for the Philadelphian who entered the ring rated no. 15 IBF and no. 31.

The 5’9 Naazim Richardson trained Dargan took the first round as Luis fell short with most of punches following his rangier opponent around.
