Demetrius Andrade shows championship work rate in title winning effort against Jack Culcay

Jack Culcay - Newly crowned WBA Junior Middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade threw a staggering 953 punches according to Compubox, in his title win over Jack Culcay this past Saturday in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Andrade, who many regard as the most talented fighter in the 154 pound division, showed his versatility as divvied up his punch output nicely between jabs and power punches by throwing 519 power punches and 434 jabs.

The taller 6’1” Andrade threw more punches, and did a good job of using his height to his benefit in defeating Culcay.

The WBA World Super Welterweight Championship fight between Jack Culcay and Demetrious Andrade is off and will not take place in the foreseeable future.

Team Sauerland won the purse bids to stage the fight on August 15, and had planned to schedule the bout as a co-featured main event alongside the WBA World Super Middleweight title contest between Tyron Zeuge and Giovanni De Carolis on November 5 at the MBS Arena in Potsdam, Germany.
