Tonight, David Price (15-1, 13 KO’s) will be making his first appearance since being knocked out in the 2nd round by Tony Thompson last February. Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport says a fight between IBF/WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch (31-2, 22 KO’s) and his mandatory challenger George Groves (19-0, 15 KO’s) will likely be Froch’s next fight in November. The International Boxing Federation ordered the fight to take place, and they had a deadline of July 12th to come to an agreement on the fight. 
#1 WBA, Martin Murray (25-1-1, 11 KO’s) thinks he would give WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (27-0, 24 KO’s) a lot of problems if he were to face him next. Murray feels he’s a cut above the guys that Golovkin has been facing recently, and he thinks he’d give him a really difficult fight. Golovkin’s manager recently contacted Murray’s manager to find out the status of his visa problems in connection with a possible fight in the United States on November 2nd.

He’s in a position where he can get bigger fights, but he also doesn’t like the idea of losing his IBF title if he chooses not to face Groves next.
On Monday, the International Boxing Federation ordered IBF/WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch (31-2, 22 KO’s) to start negotiations to defend his IBF title against mandatory challenger George Groves (19-0, 15 KO’s). The IBF gave a firm deadline by July 12th for Froch and Groves to come to an agreement for the fight unless he wants to lose his title by having it stripped from him. 
WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin’s 3rd round destruction of the UK’s Matthew Macklin last Saturday night has Eddie Hearn, the promoter for IBF/WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch, highly interested in staging a fight between Froch and Golovkin in 2014.
