It’s Me, Ernie

Danske-I usually don’t respond to amateurs but I guess I can make an exception, once. In your weak statement you referred to me as a “big” douche bag yet a “little” punk. Which is it, and why does my size concern you so much? Do you often troll male dominated websites commenting on men’s sizes? Step back from the open-faced sammiches and the Potato Schnapps for a while and maybe you will feel better about your pasty, red faced self.

Tommy Boy – He-he you are a funny one, thanks again for the laugh, but I must say we have good air and world class water here and our Swedish meetballs and Smorgos boards are great :-) you would like Sweden, trust me.

This is a funny thread. Fres was robbed in several fights. He beat Byrd, Toney, Holyfield (although getting dropped didn’t help there) Mormeck and McCall. Could he have done more in those “losses?”YES, but he still deserved the wins. Ruiz did wobble him and might have dropped him if it continued and Tua finally caught up with him. So I see only Ruiz and Tua as his real losses. Fres has experience and legs to give Mago an interesting test. I like Mago to win but I wouldn’t mind seeing Fres get the fight and will tip my hat to him should he win.

“Tommy Boy – Thanks man that was the laugh for the day” – Cosign. Only reason I read this thread was to see Tommy Boy’s stand up comedy routine. He’s apparently in Oquendo’s entourage, as the in house maseusse who provides ‘happy endings’ for him.

It’s Me, Ernie – Wow what a low class you showed up to be, man I thod better from you. Having a bad day or so? You have nothing to back up that crap talk so have a seat and sit down. Yoy will not show up annything with that attitude, seriusly thats low class and cheap and why and how did I offended you? I have been here for years so you cut yourself out from the picture.

I agree he did screwed a bit on a couple of decisions against bigger name fighters.
Now at 39 he hasn’t got much more time in the ring. The Wilder talk made me wonder about Oquendo as a next possible opponent for him,Wilder might learn something.

Tommy Boy – Thanks man that was the laugh for the day :.-) Thanks I will citate that when I will eat our Swedish Meat Balls on the Christmas days :-) Tradition to be served in a Swedish thing we call “Jul Bord”. But Yeah I must say that I at most could give Fres Oquendo the fight with Chris Byrd, but sence I rooted for Byrd I wanted him to win and he did so I have always sticked with that. The Toney fight is also a close shot but the rest I give them, sorry but that is what I stick with.

Anonymous – He-he you are a funny one :-) So what ever you say makes you feel good, well good for you. And I can and usally use better source materials then the simple so yeah it was fast info and not the best I agree there but don’t you worry, I know my ways around thank you for asking ;.) And yeah Fres Oquendo lost those bouts and I will not change my oppinion. Fres Oquendo is a decent contender allright but not that good, if so he would have won some of those fights so why should I stop talking? Well I’m not 100% but mabey its you who should step down a bit and relaxe :-)

Facebook is for weaklings… face to face not virtual

Mago is very very crude indeed. Oquendo should be able to outbox him

Posted December 20, 2012 4:06 am

Also, Mago is extremely crude and limited, but it would be better for the division if he won. fair & square, of course

Posted December 20, 2012 12:15 am

When a fighter gets “robbed” so many damn times, what does that tell you? Extraordinary bad luck? Victim of a conspiracy? Or maybe he just doesn’t have what it takes to get a clear-cut victory in close contests?

1 belt

Oquendo’s more of a journeyman than a contender. No one else wants to fight Mago so why not.

Dumb ass Americans, they will hype and justify anything.

Fres Oquendo (ranked by as nr# 54) have lost all his top fights and he is suposted to get a world title shot if he can defeat Magomed Abdusalamov, a fighter who is best known for the one who was knocked down by an old version of former contender Jameel Mccline and defeated a shot version of him as well is up in the same level? This can’t be serious what so ever. Who have Oquendo ever defeated to win just on old merits? He was knocked out by David Tua, lost by UD to Chris Byrd, was stoped by John Ruiz, lost by UD to past prime Evander Holyfield, lost to smaller James Toney, lost another UD to Jean-Marc Mormeck and finaly lost to an old past Oliver McCall by getting knocked down and ran most of the fight and have this year beated unranked contenders – so how is he up for a title shot then? This is like Hasim Rahman getting a shot for beating nothing of quality all over again. Sorry Fres Oquendo is a good boxer but he is not worthy by a long shot if a real title fight.

If Mango beats Fres. I’d like he and Wilder to fight. He will lose the 0 or lose the perfect KO record or both?

Posted December 19, 2012 6:49 pm

Fres has never been a easy out. If he can beat this monster, he’ll have a sliver of hope in the division. Thing is Fres may have slowed a tad and this guy is a true banger albeit slow. I’ll go with Mago by KO. Holla back Ghetto Whopper!!

Fast Fres, a good dude…

This guy could’ve been a terrific Xser.

Posted December 19, 2012 5:46 pm

Robert A.

Oquendo is a class guy who’s more than paid his dues in the game. He’s been avoided by most of the highly ranked heavies (most recently Arreola) and he’s deserving of a title eliminator bout against Mago. Hell, he deserves a shot at a world title right now.
