LOL @ Wilder’s supposed KO power – But against whom??

Come on Deontay Wilder!!!!

It’s hard to know how genuine Wilder’s power is. His opposition is so bad he should have a KO ratio of over 100%.

Come on Price! Mitchell is gone, now time to get Wilder out and soon Jennings!

1030pm New York Time

I don’t know how anyone can decipher that Wilder has any power given the people he’s fought. This kind of over cautious scheduling smacks of management protecting a fighter for one big payday.

Kos, don’t make this an “American’s want” thing… It’s about idiots period who buy the hype. I’m American and I don’t buy it. And for the record, Tor Hamer is decent and beat everyone in the euro fight tourney.

Does anyone know what time this fight starts? I know i’s on Showtime, but they don’t have it specifically listed, and I can’t find the start time anywhere else online.

I have to take off from work early to see it, so I really need to know!

Robert A.

Wilder catches a lot of flack at ESB mainly because of the low level competition he’s faced. Price is a step up from that, but not by very much. One thing seems to be undeniable though. Wilder has pure anesthesia in either hand. With that kind of power, nobody should be counting him out. he just may be the next dominate HW champion.

Love this article! As per usual whenever I read about Wilder on ESB, they are climbing over themselves to kiss his arse, portraying him as something genuinely special. The truth is, and I think the writer rather unwittingly alluded to it, is that Wilder is fighting yet another joke bum with a slightly inflated record that happens to have a 0 at the end, hence Wilder’s interest. For the record, Price hasn’t faught anyone you could even remotely claim was half decent (and dont even bother dropping Tor Hamer’s name!!), and has a boxrec ranking of #69. Great choice for a wannabe world champ eh?
Dont get me wrong, I have got nothing against Price, but with Wilder now into his 26th unbeaten fight, he should be looking at far better opposition than this. This is just another shameful fight for the poor American fight fans to get mildly excited about, whilst at the same time having him portrayed as the next ‘big deal’, when in reality, he is doing nothing more than KO’ing basic club level bums. Until Wilder man’s-up, and starts taking either decent fights in the US, such as Mitchell, Arreola or Banks, or heads over to Europe to take on some of the ranked fighters, (maybe in the #60 eh, Wilder? Or is that too high?) he, in my estimation, is nothing more than a shameful joke.

David, are you serious? Wilder is gonna get smoked and exposed as the non-intelligent bum he is.

Posted December 15, 2012 2:25 pm

Wilder will make him pay the price…..2nd round knockout.

Posted December 15, 2012 1:33 pm

I will be shocked if Wilder is not exposed tonight. I think he’s going to get smacked.

Wilder’s opponents have been disgraceful to date, and his last fight just looked ridiculous. Maybe he does have some potential, but he’s been bought along like he’s a local toughguy from Oklahoma being built up for a payday, rather than a serious prospect.
