Well the actual champ is Wlad. He has the ring belt

It’s Me, Ernie

We all know who the real champs are, Andre-yes, Froch-no and so on. I wonder what the nuthuggers would say who the actual heavyweight champ is? Not that I really care, but it should confuse them well…

And I don’t really care what sort of response I get if called them a titlest. If I had access to them I definitely wouldn’t call them a champ. Especially since Ward already beat them. All but one that you named. If you don’t have the ring belt then you are a titlest.

There can’t be multiple champs in a division sort. You can say all you want. Ward beat all of those fighters. Ward is the champion, he holds the ring belt. All the others are titlest. Ward has already unified the WBA and WBC titles. But once again those titles can be stripped. The ring belt can’t be stripped. You have to lose it in the ring. The only other way to lose it is by moving out of the weight division or retiring. And all the fighters you named Ward beat easy. Not to mention the WBC makes you decide between there belts and other belts. If you chose the other belts the strip you. Sorry but Ward is the champ. Anybody with a belt is a titlest.

BTW Peej, you have no authority to reduce the status of a champion or to rename a champion a “titlest.” If in your mind that’s the way you see it, fine. But in the real world that the rest of us live in, any those boxers who have won championship belts are champions. If you really don’t understand what that means, go fight for one of them.

“There is only one champ and that is Andre Ward. Any body else with a belt is a titlest”

Peej, I’m gonna call you on this every time you say it. Carl Froch, who holds two belts and two titles is a “unified champion.” Sakio Bika is WBC super middleweight champion. Then there’s Stiglitz, who hold the WBO belt. All of these “titlests” as you call them are champions–their belts even say so. The words on their belts read “World Champion.” Not “World Titlest” or “Titlest.” This is because each sanctioning body has a champion. This is what you refuse to acknowledge. When Andre Ward wins all the belts in the super middleweight division then he will be the true “unified champion” of that division. Or maybe it would be more appropriate nowadays, considering how many belts and championships are available, to call it the “grand champion.” Regardless I dare you to walk up to just one of the champions and say, “Ward is the only champion. You are just a titlest.” See what kind of response you get.

Ward doesn’t hold a title and therefore is not a SMW champ. Any fighter who cannot draw a crowd and will not travel is a hometown coward. Ward will not keep his ‘0’ on the road.

It is troubling to read this. I don’t know, of course, all that is involved here, but to take a guy from day one, and guide him from four rounders to televised fights, to big fights in Europe and the doorstep of the big time, only to be cut loose, it just doesn’t seem right. I am a fan of Edwin Rodriguez , he is a fine, all action fighter, but this seems so wrong.

The worst decision Edwin EVER will make, getting rid of Larry Army, time will tell.

I dislike the way this dude says he is ready for any of the champions. There is only one champ and that is Andre Ward. Any body else with a belt is a titlest
