Calzaghe, “Kessler is a robot. He doesn’t duck or slip punches. He can’t fight inside. I should be able to hit him with pretty much everything I throw.”
Ward, “He’s fairly limited in what he can do.”Posted May 23, 2013 1:14 pm
We will never agree with each other on that. We agree though on the fact that Kessler is winning the psychological warfare, after all, you can’t win a boxing match, via words.
Froch is really getting nervous now, I just saw Kessler, on danish tv, reacting to Frochs childish death threat, as relaxed as a cat.
Your belief in Froch having the superior boxing skills, compared to Mikkel Kessler, well not even Froch fans believes that.
I am soo excited about this fight.Posted May 23, 2013 12:07 pm
Froch hasn’t put Kessler down, or behaved like a jerk.. These two like and respect each other.. You have to promote a fight, and being all lovey dovey doesn’t work.. You have to say you’re ready to kick ass or something.. You have to generate your own motivations, but being pissed off doesn’t work. The cooler head usually prevales when 2 guys are almost equal in ability, so you try to needle your opponent and piss him off a little. Knock his coolness level down and get him agitated. Getting Cleverly and Groves to spar for you was a good move. It really pisses Froch off. And when Groves makes his sly comments that helps too. Kessler has been more clever in the psychological warfare aspect. Froch is almost 36. To me it looks like Kessler has the edge in psychological coolness, strength, youth, and cardio conditioning. Froch has the edge in boxing skills, world class experience, and brain power. The venue may be the decider … like it was in their first fight.Posted May 23, 2013 11:33 am
It’s not that Brits can’t handle being criticised. Just click on the authors name and look back at his history of articles. Every single one is anti-British. I agree with Martin, this guy needs some help.Posted May 23, 2013 10:58 am
“I swear these are the most arrogant species on earth”. Yes we humans are the worst Species on the planet… be they from Mandeville in Manchester province or Bolton near Manchester!!Posted May 23, 2013 10:20 am
After the first Kessler vs Froch fight, I was beginning to like Carl, but I don’t like his latest statements about Kessler:
I will kill Kessler and Kessler has fought in the second division since our last fight:
Either Froch and his team are morons, or nervous, about the fight, Because if Kessler feel as angry as I do, (a bar fighter putting down an accomplished worldclass boxer and gentleman) these statements will set Kessler on fire.
Trash talking is part of boxing, but I thought Froch was above that, I hope Kessler gives Froch the beating of his life.Posted May 23, 2013 9:07 am

Kessler has conducted himself with class and is a gentleman.
He looks relaxed and ready to go.Posted May 23, 2013 7:09 am
No Excuses Frochy
The thing that pisses me off with Froch is he can’t take defeat like a man, he’s always got an excuse.
Ashcloud or I had a burger 2 days before, he is supposed to be the ultimate professional according to himself, so you wouldn’t have a burger unless you knew 100% that the fight had been cancelled.
You lost fair and square and come Sat nt if Kessler is having success and the fight isn’t going Froch’s way he has no excuses.
Of course if he loses there’ll be some injury in camp etc.
You lost in Denmark fair and square and you lost against Dirrell in many people’s opinion and Sat nt you have NO EXCUSES anymore.Posted May 23, 2013 7:07 am
As long as a writer say the brit is going to loose, then he is bias. Have anyone ever hear Steve Bunce say that the other fighter is better than a Brit fighter? so he isn`t bias. I swear these are the most arrogant species on earth.Posted May 23, 2013 4:31 am
“iam going to kill this guy if i have to” says froch, can you imagine if floyd or ward said those type of words to an opponent?Posted May 23, 2013 4:22 am
I say that only because their predictions SUCK, if they genuinely had good ones I would commend that but your lucky IF 50% are correct and then when they GUESS right the think they are great, its not exactly hard you have 50/50 chance every time yet only pick the winner 50% so basically you predictions suck ass , talk about narcissistic tendency’s.Posted May 23, 2013 2:46 am

ESB used to be a good website, with decent writers and balanced articles. What happened? In particular, why is this bitter, spittle-flecked moron with his deranged and obsessive hatred for all British fighters permitted to keep gobbing his phlegm all over this website???Posted May 22, 2013 6:38 pm
Agree totally with limey jay. And thanks (im one of the few) , you also have a good night and enjoy the fightPosted May 22, 2013 6:13 pm
The whole world knows Kessler is the more skilled fighter…..but that doesn,t guarantee the win, that’s not how the fight game works, not when you have someone like Froch in the opposite corner.
Must admit Froch did surprise me in their first fight. Kessler, who’s normally a sharp, accurate boxer had geat difficulty in hitting Froch. Carl is definitely a smarter boxer than he appears, despite his seemingly non-existent guard at times. The Mikkel of 2010 probably won’t be good enough to win this time. His fans have to hope, that he’s 100% focused and has managed to rekindle his form of 05-07 – that will be enough. One last big night of glory for the Dane, fingers crossed. Should be a helluva fight.Posted May 22, 2013 3:35 pm
I hope Mikkel uses his jab more effectively in this fight, keeps Froch at range and moves more. At his best he’s capable of winning a dominant 12 round decision. At his worst, as the writer says, Froch could get the bar room brawl he wants, turning this into a 50/50 fight. If Kessler can roll back the years he’ll win over 12. But, I have a feeling he can’t, with stamina being a major problem, he’ll have to stand and trade, but even then he should still get the better of this scenario and manage to KO the Cobra in the middle rounds. I’ll be a fellow Brit in the arena on Saturday…rooting for Kessler!Posted May 22, 2013 3:24 pm
Maybe – but he is soooooo right!Posted May 22, 2013 3:01 pm
