Exiled Yank

I don’t really care much for Haye because of his mouth and his shameful fight with Wlad, but the man has real ability and brings skills to the heavies that most heavies don’t have. He has great footwork, handspeed, he can box and has significant power. I just wish he would actually use it.

Why are people fighting Charr. He is CRAP

Posted April 30, 2013 6:08 am

This picture was used to put Charr in the worst light possible… If they wanted to hype the fight they would use a heroic looking shot of Charr, or won of him being victorious against Bidenko, Saglam, or some other defeated opponent… No. Let’s find one where he looks a bloody, defeated mess in his only loss.

Haye to KO Charr.

Fight Aficionado

Gotta give ESB editors credit, they sure know how to choose the right pic when announcing a guy’s next fight.

Posted April 29, 2013 3:04 pm

I’d give my left testicle to see Haye badly KOd in this one. Not gonna happen but would still be bloody marvellous.

Posted April 29, 2013 2:12 pm

Charr is one tough cookie to beat….this will def test Haye’s punching power!!

Posted April 29, 2013 1:58 pm

Awesome choice of opponent Haye truly is cleaning up the division. Expect another year lay off after this fight then Arreola in 2014.

Well except for the fact that David was the undisputed WBC, WBA and WBO Cruiserweight champ winning by 2nd round KO. And that he did fight Valuev asan opponent and hurt him. And that Ruiz was KO and had only benn done so one other time by David Tua. And that Vitali fought Chisora for the WBC Championship coming off a loss. And that David KO Chisora in 5 rounds while the Champ couldnt do it. And that David went 12 rounds with Vlad. So what is sad is that this writer writes one version of the story. No matter who David chooses they will have a problem with it. I do not here this writer complain that Vlad chose a bum in Pianetta or Povetkin chose a no name Pole instead of fighting Fres Oquendo or a Luis Ortiz who are in the top 5 and really credible opponents. SO maybe he needs to go back to Journalism 101 and learn his craft.

The author has a point. Haye (like Arreola) hasn’t fought for almost a year; ring rust can make a difference. There are too many stale, moss-ridden, out of shape contenders. More attention should be given to hungry, stay-busy warriors like Wilder, Fury, Mago, Jennings, Browne, and Price.

Mick the Marmalizer

A fight with EBU champ Pulev would have been better & acted as a natural final eliminator for a World title challenge.

Posted April 29, 2013 9:58 am

So, when is it? Because Haye “is fightning someone next” for quite a while…

Posted April 29, 2013 9:12 am

Haye may be irritating in his ways at times, but he can fight and he will MURDER Charr.

Posted April 29, 2013 9:08 am

If the brothers can fight him why cant Haye

Haye will get the win and then lets have him fight Fury. I think he will knock Fury out. These so called contenders need to start facing each other. The Super Six did really well for 168, even with the drop outs and later entries and I think every division, especially the Heavies, would do well to throw it all in there. Kessler lost, Froch lost, Direll lost, Abraham lost but they all came back. Fighter should fight and all this safe matchmaking should just stop. If the best fought the best it would really raise the pofile of the sport again.

Honestly don’t think that Charr is so bad as some on this site want to give the impression of….Neither is he matchspoiler Ruiz….I see him as a pretty decent heavy who’ll beat most….That being said….Two or three fights more for Haye until a champ-bout…Then it won’t be against Vitali…Think he’ll retire soon…If Haye really wanted a fight with Vitali he should have gone all-in and fought a bigger name than Charr to force Vitali into a fight by public demand…This won’t change anything should he win.

Posted April 29, 2013 7:10 am

Haye by KO within 5 rounds but once again would be beaten by either of the klits, the sisters will retire when they want to and neither of them will be beaten from now until retirement.thats a fact.

Posted April 29, 2013 6:31 am

Haye will batter Charr in short order and play the anything Vit can do I can do better card again. As a ‘comeback’ fight to shake the rust off, prior to this supposed October fight it’s not terrible, it’s got that Vitali angle and Charr was supposedly a legit challenger for Vitali according to his fans. On it’s own merit though, Charr is a nobody and it should be an easy nights work for Haye. Hopefully Vitali then comes back and we get that fight in October. Not much interest in Haye Wlad II personally, unless Haye finds a radical solution to getting around the jab.

Neil (Pomy)

Easy fight for Haye

Posted April 29, 2013 2:47 am

always goes for vitali’s leftovers.

Posted April 29, 2013 2:46 am

Arreola is destroyed… He’s dog meat… The only thing Chris can destroy is a platter of 3 dozen chicken enchiladas in about 35 minutes.. He should have his own “Man vs Food” show.

The only time Arreola would fight anyone in the Top-10 is if the promoter paid for his health insurance. For one thing, he’s going to need extensive surgery on his badly broken schnozzle. Chris has never beaten a Top-10 Heavyweight in his life.

Thats my post below

Posted April 29, 2013 1:59 am

yeah, i think charr is pretty crappy. he may have ok power, better than chisora’s but chisora’s is bottom of the barrel. chisora has all kinds of better movement, better stamina, and better work rate. charr shells up and cant see half the shots coming his way. he is perfect for haye to slay… took OLD vitaly less than three rounds to drop the guy and vitaly was landing nasty bombs on him from start to finish. softening the hamburger then peeling back the wrapper that was charrs face. charr has no future. he mine as well be slayed by haye. charr is a C level fighter at best as far as i can see. arreola vs charr would be a good one. charr vs and in shape and motivated peter. charr vs some of the greener guys like abdusamalov, jennings, wilder, stiverne, mitchell, helenius, pulev. char is not good enough to face haye in my view. i listed the guys that should be fighting haye and some of them are listed above. charr could make interesting fights with some of those guys but haye stands maye stand above them though its hard to say because i dont think chisora is a measuring stick. or provides any kind of barometer. chisora has lost in serial fashion and will probably do so if he fights anyone decent. already lost to fury when fury was wwaaaaaaay green. i think we know all we need to know about he quality of chisora. lost to green fury got beat by an old one armed vitaly got smoked by haye. lost to helenius officially. its too bad haye is fighting klitschKO victims. charr was outboxed and smoked by an old vitaly. dude got dropped in less than threee rounds. many other guys i would rather see haye fight than charr. cunningham, mitchel, adamek dont make the cut.

Posted April 29, 2013 1:58 am

After the slugfest last night would love to see Stiverne and Haye. Arreola would destroy Charr pretty easily as would any other fighter in the top 10

Posted April 29, 2013 1:43 am

Yeah. Have to agree. Arreola destroyed himself. The road back if there is one will be very tought for arreola. I would say nearly insurmountable. He will most likely be the new punching bag. If cris was counting on boxing as a career and becoming a heavywight champ, he’s never been further. Somebody below said haye should fight cunningham in a list of proposed fghts. Uuummmm no haye shouldn’t fight cunningham. Cunningham is not a name heavy. He’s a featherfisted non namer who just got flattened by fury. Fury, helenius, pulev, boystov, chambers, if hayes gonna fight a featherfist then he should fight adamek. Adameks ready for his coup de grat. But this would be less than ideal matchmaking. I would rather see a haye soliz rematch. But ideally haye is in with the fresh namers even the green ones. Fury, jenkins, helenius, boystov, pulev, stiverne, wilder, wach, even abdusamalov. But no. Not mitchel, or cunningham, or arreola,. I haven’t seen enough on charr to sa what I think of it but I’m not opposed to the haye vs charr bout

Posted April 29, 2013 1:18 am

I think Charr murders Arreola… Arreola looked worse than terrible the other night… A punching bag for punching bags… He’s about as serious about his Boxing career as he is about becoming a nuclear physicist.

Well Chart got the fight he had been wanting. Well see what happens.:

Posted April 29, 2013 12:12 am

I need to wipe my Tark better, it itches and smells funky

Is it gonna be on a Toesday?

Posted April 29, 2013 12:08 am

Expect Charr to get charred. Still think Haye should take on a legit HW; Jennings, Arreola, Povetkin, Cunningham, Wilder or the like.

Posted April 28, 2013 11:03 pm

Tough Guy

Lets hope his toe can go the distance.

Posted April 28, 2013 10:04 pm

I would say 2 more fights wth names we know at heavy and hayes there for another shot. I w9ould love to see haye vs bryant jennings. Haye get revenge on solis, haye vs any of the names we know and there a lot of them at heavy

Posted April 28, 2013 9:30 pm

Charr is much better than most are giving him credit for. He was coming on — closing the distance and landing shots — when the fight with V-Klit was stopped due to the cut. While Haye should beat him, don’t be surprised if Charr doesn’t make some rounds very close and interesting. That said, even with a win in this fight Haye would still have a long way to go to deserve another shot at a belt.

Posted April 28, 2013 9:22 pm

This could actually be a more decent brawl than most might think.
Sure Charr isn’t the greatest heavyweight out there…….but he is tough……and can hit pretty hard……sure not as hard as Price or Haye…..but hard enough for Haye to be cautious about.
I’d say Charr hits harder than Chisora and is a liitle more punch accurate too, and I didn’t think he struggled with Danny Williams as the author suggests……he blocked a lot of Williams punches with his guard.
Haye should win this one, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Haye finds it much tougher than his bout with Chisora.

Agree with this article 100%

Posted April 28, 2013 7:42 pm

Gussie Finknottle

Charr was only stopped because of cuts against Vitali

Posted April 28, 2013 7:37 pm

Ring of fire

Charr will get smoked.

Posted April 28, 2013 6:48 pm

its not the worst pick in the world, hes 18 on boxrec and hes got better wins than many others he could have picked.

Posted April 28, 2013 6:38 pm

Haye will WIN by stoppage

Posted April 28, 2013 6:35 pm

Good to see haye back.

Posted April 28, 2013 5:52 pm

I think Haye wants to use his own performance with Charr as a measuring stick against Vitalis performance. If he beats Charr more convincingly, as he did with Chisora he has another strong argument against Vitali. Charr is a fat and stupid bum and should not even be in the ring at this level, he is a club fighter at best. Haye will win for sure, but I hope he really destroys Charr and blasts him into oblivion!

Posted April 28, 2013 5:51 pm

How predictable. Once Haye beats Charr I SERIOUSLY hope he takes on someone who genuinely merits a top ten ranking (Charr emphatically does NOT!): Povetkin, preferably. Otherwise, he doesn’t deserve a shot at a world title.

Posted April 28, 2013 5:44 pm

brittards were criticizing 41 year old Vitali for taking on Charr, but now they talk like Charr is an ATG. It’s not even funny how pathetic and delusional Hayes fans are.

Posted April 28, 2013 5:37 pm

While i agree with the point about fighting trash to get a shot (which btw, is the fans fault, 100%. Stop supporting trash like arreola when he’s fighting top 200 fighters at best). You can hardly put Haye in the same bracket. Most of these “contenders” are feasting on fighters outside the top 50 or 100. Haye fought legit 2nd tier fighters. The only people he didn’t fight were the other 3 or 4 guys arguably top 5 for the shot, but they’re hardly fighting each other either.

Posted April 28, 2013 5:32 pm

Ill look forward to this. Good to see haye back and after this it could be Fury from what I hear
