Exiled Yank

Even if you don’t like the man, you have to appreciate what he’s doing. Sure, this title is as flimsy as a square of toilet paper, but he did beat one of the top men in the division. At this point in his life he should be retired, or a gate-keeping stepping stone at best, but he’s still hanging around the top. Not even Foreman was fighting the best when he won the HW title. Arum was bribing the IBF to get non-ranked fighters in the top ten so George could beat on them.

Stupid loser.
Hopkins fought weak somebodies.

If Hopkins fought all nobodies, please clarify who the somebody’s are in boxing? Not a B-Hop fan, but the guy is one of the greats, definitely in this era. He made Cloud look like a complete amateur and I feel won every round, including a couple that were close. Yes if you only love to see a slug fest, then watching B-Hop fights is a torture fest. But boxing is more then 2 guys always throwing bombs to the wind. There are those that apply the boring version, although masterful, it is not as exciting. Good thing about boxing, it has a mix of all types of fights and fighters, it’s good when you can appreciate the diversity of all it offers, but if not fall back on what you love, and respect what you don’t.

Who cares if you throw more punches than someone else. If you can’t land them then it makes no difference. That is why they call it effective aggression. That score card should of read 120 to 108 in favor of Hopkins.

Ha ha hate Hopkins or love him u have 2 respect his game. Chicago guy- he landed 41% of his punches I think it was 30 more than cloud, he also landed alot more power shots and controlled the ring that’s how he won… As far as fighting nobodies go ( Tarver, Cloud, Pascal, Pavlic, dela Hoya, Trinidad, Calzaghe, Taylor, Jones these guys aren’t nobodies. 20 tittle defences and oldest champ ever. Boring, yes. Hated, yes winner, yes overules all

Hopkins is the most overated fighter in history. Wins over nobodys. Calzaghe was a testiment that hopkins = fail

Chiago guy

I really don’t understand how Popokins wins by unanimous decision that compubox shows that T. Cloud throw 233 punches more than Popokins. Cloud-650, Popkins-417

kovalev at least has a strong punch and went through very decent amateur competition in russia. at least he knocks men out on regular basis.

cloud should,t had the title to begin with, he was schooled by campillo who was destroyed by Sergey Kovalev. would love to see B-hop against Kovalev but that will never happen. Nobody wants to fight him.
