People saying it was a robbery either didn’t watch the fight or were Bias for Scott. This fight was a snorefest and Several rounds it was really hard to give it to either since nothing happened. I think a draw is appropriate and hopeful these 2 don’t ever fight again because it was bad. Not Byrd vs Williams snorefest, but pretty bad.

Well….I really don’t care except I’m an insomniac at times.

“I don’t know, it looked pretty close. If a victory for Scott it wasn’t an impressive one. Maybe they should have a rematch at 12 rds.” – Please don’t. First fight was a cure for insomnia. Scott is not a fighter we need to see on TV. Ever.

I had Scott winning by decision but many of the rounds I had him winning were by very slim margins. As always his lack of aggression and desire to eke out rounds without risking anything at all resulted in a snorebore fight. So I don’t have a problem with a draw. Scott did show us Glazkov can be lulled into a sleepwalking state. He had no fire or aggression, hardly went to the body at all, and allowed Scott to hold him everytime they got in close. They both were crap.

Good news and bad news for Chris Algieri. He gave the fans a crowd-pleasing fight — but he looked like he would not be very good against the elite fighters. Peralta had never gone past 6 rounds and Algieri needed every bit of 10 rounds to get the win. I don’t want to say that Algieri was lucky to win — because he did win rounds and connect with good shots — but Algieri also got hit with way too many punches. His defense was bad. His ring generalship was terrible. If Algieri has to tough-out a win against a guy with only 10 fights, then how is Algieri going to beat Rios or Alvarado or Matthysee or Garcia or Khan. It was a crowd pleasing fight — but it doesn’t bode well for Algieri against the top fighters.

I think Malik Scott won and it was a good performance that should set him for big fights with real names. On the other hand, I am not surprised or disappointed that Scott did not get the win. The truth is that he has not fought much opposition. The Ukranian fighter was the up and coming name and the headline fighter for the night. Scott needed a knockout to get the win — or short of a knockout — he needed to really beat the crap out of the Ukranian and that did not really happen. Scott is heavyweight who fights like a middleweight dancer. He put sharp punches on Glazkov but not a real bloody beating. Given those circumstances — a draw is not surprising. Everybody who saw the fight thinks it was a win for Scott and he will get the benefit of the doubt in future fights — but he has to keep giving these types of performances.

I don’t know, it looked pretty close. If a victory for Scott it wasn’t an impressive one. Maybe they should have a rematch at 12 rds. for one of the thousand or so obscure titles out there.

Complete robbery. Hopefully it gives him a boost in the world rankings. Sometimes the ABCs are corrupt, but they oftentimes still raise a fighters ranking, even in defeat when a blatant robbery has occurred. Let’s hope that happens here.
