Maidana throws some 800 punches to land 200 and still gets outpunched?Posted May 8, 2014 11:42 am
Funny how Pactards are using an uncommon opponent in Maidana to say Manny will whip Floyd but scoff at the Marquez comparison. Hypocritical.Posted May 8, 2014 11:40 am
Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Best Ever)
115-114 for Maidana. And I’m even being generous and giving FMJ an extra point with that score. All those hard, thudding body shots and short, chopping overhooks that were bouncing off the side and top of Floyd’s head were scoring BIG TIME. Unfortunately, way too many judges and fans don’t give body shots nearly enough credit and don’t know how to score all that close-quarters inside fighting. Floyd lost and that’s the plain simple reality. Go back and watch the fight again in slow motion with the sound off — if you have too.Posted May 7, 2014 3:05 pm
Slurp slurp. Sorry too busy hugging Mayweather’s nuts.
I give the fight one round to Mayweather. That judge who scored it 117-111 was Floyds ‘banker’ in case the fight was close.
Mayweather is a cash cow with lots of hangers on sucking on his titties. His 0 won;t go because there’s too much vested interest in watching the fraudster bamboozle gullible fans into spending cash on PPV.Posted May 7, 2014 8:30 am
This was a close fight… But most think Mayweather won it.
Most pundits and fans aren’t saying “this was a robbery. should have been a draw.”Posted May 7, 2014 3:57 am
Watch the Mayweather vs Big show spectacle!!! very entertaining! good WWE acting on the part of mayweather!Posted May 6, 2014 11:39 pm
Manny Pacquiao showcased his brilliant boxing skills in both the Brandon Rios and Timothy Bradley fights. His graceful movement and technical sharp shooting punches left fans speechless. Manny Pacquiao had rewarded boxing fans for 10 plus years using a ferocious, aggressive, hurricane type fighting style that had never been seen before. His fights were exciting and dynamic. Fans got more than their money’s worth watching the greatest pure fighter of all time dissect , dismantle and destroy every opponent he faced. Manny Pacquiao then tricked us all by coming out and overwhelming Bradley and Rios with a boxing style that reminded us fans of the great Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson and Sugar Ray Leonard. Manny Pacquiao’s boxing was pure beauty. He was a Leonardo Da vinci painting the Mona Lisa. His transformation shocked us all, which led many to believe that Manny Pacquiao was not only the greatest pure fighter of all time but also the best boxer. Saturday night’s fight spoke volumes about the limitations of Floyd Mayweather and why he could never have beaten Manny Pacquiao. You must understand that Floyd actually tried fighting, something Manny has been doing for years. Marcos Maidana had Floyd hugging and holding on for life, which basically showed fans his fear and insecurity of fighting in a mano y mano type of fight. Floyd Mayweather tried to be macho, and show fight fans that he was tough. What he did was show us that he lacks the confidence and courage to win on another man’s turf. He cannot make the adjustment as his little brother Adrien Broner also failed at. Maidana on the other handed wanted Floyd to stand and fight and prove his worth as a true fighting warrior. Floyd Mayweather failed. And Manny Pacquiao, the greatest warrior to ever step into the ring made the adjustment from fighter to boxer with ease. He boxed with inspirational boxing techniques that had millions of fight fans tearing up. Manny proved he could change his style, Floyd showed us that he couldn’t. Holding on for dear life told true fight fans that he wanted no part of a real fight. He basically surrendered and threw in the towel. Boxing is about true warrior that don’t give up. They fight to the end. They have no quit in them. They would rather go down on their shield. Floyd Mayweather will never reach the heights of Manny Pacquiao. Manny is a true fighter. He is a monument to be saluted every time you see him. Stand up and salute the little big man. Boxing Historians can place a picture of Manny Pacquiao right next to the word Greatness. Trust me on this, no one beats Manny Pacquiao on a one fight basis. His domination of a sport will never be equaled. Manny is the best!Posted May 6, 2014 9:36 pm

Marcos Maidana won the fight 116-114 without question. I watched it a few times without bias in any way and without the volume. Fans around the world are correct in saying Floyd Mayweather got away with robbery against Maidana as he has in the past against Oscar De La Hoya and Jose Luis Castillo. Floyd Mayweather is not looked upon as an undefeated fighter because he’s really not. He was hit, roughed up and his constant holding because he couldn’t deal with a tough fighter made him panic and hold on for life. Holding, hugging or tying up as many put it is illegal. The referee should have taken points away. Holding is like putting your hands up and telling your opponent that he’s too much to handle. Marcos Maidana won 5 of the first 6 rounds. Look at the replay and see for yourself. He was landing the jab on Floyd when he wanted to. Floyd was missing by miles, and many of his punches were off the mark. He did have a few clean ones, but the crowd screamed even though the punch was a glancing blow or didn’t land. Maidana was the better man, and Floyd and his fans know this. Some people need to learn how to score a professional boxing match not an amateur boxing match. Maidana was effective throughout the fight. The 114-114 scorecard was more like it, but the truth is that one blind judge that should be banned for life had Mayweather winning 117-111?? What a pathetic joke. Regardless, Mayweather has been exposed, and the boxing world knows full well why Mayweather never wanted to fight the legendary, 8 division boxing champion and Fighter of the Decade. I knew all along Floyd Mayweather could not deal with Manny’s fighting style. Manny would have simply knocked Floyd Mayweather out cold. Too fast, strong, and brutalizing power in this southpaw fighting machine. The debate is over. The great Manny Pacquiao is the unanimous best fighter of his era as the Fighter of The Decade voted on by the best sports writers in the country voted Manny Pacquiao as being the best. What we all saw on Saturday night finally answered the question. Who was better, Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao. The winner, Manny Pacquiao. His legacy will live forever. His fights are memorable and exciting. The boxing world loves this man. Manny Pacquiao is a living legend, and he obviously doesn’t need Floyd Mayweather for anything. Floyd Mayweather is done.Posted May 6, 2014 2:00 am
70 million dollars for getting an “azz whipping”, not bad for a chicken, no doubt why Machoscar de la Hoya is jellous of FloydPosted May 5, 2014 11:05 pm
I gotta say yes maidana gave Floyd an ass whoopin but he didnt win the war, for the fact that clean punching wins over loads of punches in my book, but 1 thing I gotta say is I’ve been watching Floyd fight for years and years and I must say Floyd wasn’t being Floyd that night like if his body was at the fight but his mind was elsewearPosted May 5, 2014 9:43 pm

And the REAL GOAT (Ali) has spoken. Has called Floyd out and put him on the spot. Mike Tyson has done the same thing. Marvin Hagler has done the same thing. Now it’s up to everyone else. Floyd Maytwitter talks a good game but if he truly want to give the fans what they want… step up and get in the ring with Manny already!!! Enuff with the BS!Posted May 5, 2014 5:08 pm
Just win baby
Floyd grinded out a points win over a perhaps dirty fighter in maidana.. Floyd had to endure over low blows, rabbit punches, head butts and girly wild swings. Floyd did not use the shoulder roll and stand his ground tactic in this fight thts the only reason why maidana won some rounds in this fight he tried to bully but to no success.. Money Mayweather victorious again 46-0Posted May 5, 2014 4:35 pm
Boxtrad,,,,Exciting win? The goat was turned to Swiss cheese! And for maidana fans, it was a thrilla in MAINiLLa’. Yea buddyPosted May 5, 2014 3:34 pm
I honestly didn’t see a controversy with Maytwitter’s win. Maidana was on point for the first 6 rounds… He did what he had to do but after round 6, it looked like he took his foot off the gas and Maytwitter resorted to his usual pot shot, hold and back peddle technique.
The only thing I didn’t believe was that Maytwitter could’ve made the fight easier like he eluded to in the post fight press conference.Posted May 5, 2014 3:10 pm
Seen the whole fight maidana won 6 round. And stats say he landed 225 punches Floyd seem slower, or maidana could avold Floyd jab going in all the time.
Floyd had no choice he had to exchange and use his speed and experience inside. He tried boxing but maidana jab right back and even counter back a body shot and two clubbing over the top punches back. He got in everytime he tried and Floyd went backwards but he follow him and was inside still so back into the ropes.
He had no choice If Floyd tried to slip chino he would not see the combo punches and he would be close and sideway he could have been ko’ed. So he not dumb it’s better to face the coming punches and scrub them off.
Floyd can’t handle slugger or slugger/ boxer. Or rather it’s a even ballfield fighting them vs slow boxers canelo one that can’t fight onside so he can slip away with put getting hit and can beat them boxing from the outside as most boxer don’t want to come inside, Oscar, hatten, maidana, are slugger or slugger /boxers.
They are going to this watch fight over and over as maidana took Floyd jab and his shoulder roll away.
Another exciting WIN for the GOAT.Posted May 5, 2014 1:58 pm

Mbuyiseli my friend, not obsessed with Floyd, but dislike what he stands for. A man that was blessed with talent only to see him act the way he does and see how he treats people. He truly believes his money and material make him bigger and better than all humanity. The 24/7 and All Access shows people who Floyd Mayweather really is. He’s not putting on an act. He’s a hypocrite wearing diamond crosses and thanking God on occasion yet his mouth is full of garbage foul language and he has no shame when blatantly calling his own father every foul and degrading name in the book. Character in a person, especially a sports figure that has the attention of millions, has a better opportunity to live a good life and be a good role model to millions of kids and upcoming boxers, but acts like a fool and rambles about in his folly. I recall watching Floyd Mayweather as a young teen as an amateur and Olympian, and he was a very nice, modest humble kid. I watched him during the early stages of his career and his personality was very likable. He had a humble personality, and he looked to me like another Sugar Ray Leonard both inside and outside the ring. He then won his first title, and the hanger on’s started coming, and everyone started filling his head with all kinds of garbage. I began to see the beginning of what I thought would be a disaster of a potentially great fighter and role model as the promoters and his entourage of people came onto him like a bunch of vultures seeking their carcass. Floyd Mayweather then appeared to be believing everything, and then the ego started to come out louder and louder. The rest is history. We’ve all see what he portrays himself to be. The man today is a classless, egotistical, money hungry villain. Did you see what a jerk he was in the post fight press conference with his kiss but entourage behind him bowing at every word he said. Did you see Lil Wayne and the Mayweather camp trying to start fights with the Maidana camp as they were cheering through the hallway. I don’t need to get into Floyd Mayweather’s behavior because it’s all out there. He says things like Donald Sterlign is a great man? Putting his ex fiancee’s abortion document on Instagram? Calling Manny Pacquiao racist names. Laughing at fans because they pay money to see him fight. Throwing all his wealth in our faces is, and he has been consistent this this attitude and behavior the majority of his career. Floyd tries to act and speak well for about a minute, and then once someone asks him something or says something he doesn’t like, his real self comes back and begins degrading that person. Floyd Mayweather has rubbed people wrong, and as he says, he doesn’t care. Thank God for the world having a quality person like Manny Pacquiao. I admire and support this wonderful human being that is respectful, caring, loving, God fearing and is a humble, decent humble person that all of us can have admiration for. Just look at how he carries himself. Not one bad word. Not one word of disrespect for anyone. He never complains or cries. He never boasts about his money or materials. He gives and gives to those that are in need. Manny Pacquiao recognized the sin he had in his life at he turned away from it. He was a fallen man that took off the dirty clothes he had, and today he is a man with true character. Manny Pacquiao is loved and admired everywhere he goes, and for those that are jealous of him, he doesn’t sit well with. They try to take shots at him about his personal life. Laugh at his losses, suffering and struggles, but he continues to be a class act. He never changes. This is a good man. I hope this clears up my thoughts on Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. And just to add a little more to this. Manny Pacquiao is the best of all time. Floyd Mayweather proved to all of us that he would never have come close to beating Manny. Floyd is a skilled fighter, but he would have been knocked by the legendary, Manny Pacquiao, the only 8 division boxing champion in history. Hope my post helps you understand.Posted May 5, 2014 1:40 pm
@Kontiki A single knockout would suffice maybe, but on points alone, no way Maidane would get the win. Nor anyone else, as long Mayflower still has that 0.Posted May 5, 2014 10:49 am
Would the naacp and sharpton hit the streets if another fighter not of african heritage said the “N” word? Lord forbid the complete word is mentioned.Posted May 5, 2014 10:25 am
For any boxer to beat Floyd,he has to be knocked out cold on the floor otherwise there is no way Las vegas judges would give the win to a potential adversary. All these judges have protected interest which you all have to know that.Posted May 5, 2014 10:04 am
This boy is damn good; haters just don’t stop.
If Maidana would have KO’ed the Money man with his knee, they will be clapping their stupid hands and claiming victory for this dirty fighter. I also think Floyd should not give him a rematch, he asked rudely even using the f word, thinks he is entitled to use his own gloves (yet Floyd had to agree to every demand Oscar made since he was the star). Above all he is not acknowledging the greatness of Floyd…he was beaten at his own game just like Ricky Hatton.Posted May 5, 2014 9:50 am
…..meaning…..Floyd by a landslide!Posted May 5, 2014 9:43 am
Wrong, confused african, many don’t buy Floyds fights to see him win, on the contrary. I think Floyd has eluded fights that would have made more sense while opponents were still in their prime. Sure, I believe Floyd has skills but that only means so much when you’re not tested against the best. The best were not guerrero, ortiz, baldomir, a way, way past his prime gatti, etc., and the best do not consistently fight at catchweight. Personally, I still think Floyd fought as he fought with maidana intentionally. Maidana is NOT an elite fighter and while styles makes fights, an elite fighter always beats a B level brawler…..shoo, he’ll beat an A level brawler. A rematch will be like night and day in terms of outcome. It will be a clinic.Posted May 5, 2014 9:41 am
46-0. Funny how every hater has overlooked the Argentine MMA fighter’s low blows, billy-goat head-butts, using knees, pushing Mayweather through the ropes, etc. If Mayweather had retaliated…Maidana should have had points deducted or disqualified. This is boxing not wrestling.
Mayweather 46-0. Hater can go shoot themselves but they will always watch Mayweather fight, lolPosted May 5, 2014 9:33 am

MAIDANNA won by more punches landed, he got robbed !!!Posted May 5, 2014 6:01 am
As much as I like Maidana and was impressed with the way he took it to Floyd and dominated him in the earlier rounds, he did NOT get robbed with the decision! I had Mayweather winning it by 2 rounds and no more. It’s possible one could view the fight as a draw but no way that Maidana wins, unless a blinding hatred of Mayweather and his antics have become too strong…..Posted May 5, 2014 5:24 am
