Browne seems like a good guy and I’d very much like to see him do well in his boxing career. He’s a tough, rugged fighter who has very respectable punch power, but his weakness appears to be a lack of hand/foot speed and this could be a problem against a quick boxer such as Bahoeli. Here’s hoping Lucas can catch the Canadian and get him out of there and walk away with the Commonwealth belt because I frankly doubt that he has the goods to ever win a world title strap.Posted April 26, 2014 3:44 pm
“He is looking really haggard. I know he trained real hard for Senchenko, but I was shocked to see how he looked ill, facially. The elasticity round his face seems to have gone and he was looking red and old and tired. Hopefully, it was just a bad day at the office…” – Not just a bad day. Hatton’s years of partying, overeating, weight gains followed by purges and the harder liquor, drugs, and long nights since he retired take a toll. The face thing happens when you gain 50 lbs then shrink down. Most party heads age prematurely.Posted April 26, 2014 3:08 pm

ON ANOTHER POINT, did anyone see Ricky Hatton in the accompanying interview? My goodness! He is looking really haggard. I know he trained real hard for Senchenko, but I was shocked to see how he looked ill, facially. The elasticity round his face seems to have gone and he was looking red and old and tired. Hopefully, it was just a bad day at the office, cause he’s a great bloke and has repped Manchester really well. It’s time he concentrated on himself and his young family and left the “booze cruise patrol” behind him.Posted April 26, 2014 9:31 am

I agree. It would be nice if the Austrailan heavyweight champion Lucas “Big Daddy” Brown (19-0-0 KO’s 17) could defeat Canadian puncher Eric Martel Bahoeli (10-3-0 KO’s 7) and conqer the now vacant Commonwealth heavyweight title (vacated by David Price).
Brown should be able to KO Bahoeli in the middle rounds but then again even if Brown is a big and strong puncher, Bahoeli haves a good snap in his punches as well but again, Lucas Brown should take home this fight.
And he needs to do that as he is 35 years old now and if he wants to get a couple of big stage fights, he needs to win this fight and the Commonwealth heavyweight title.Posted April 25, 2014 7:33 pm
lucas is excellent and will winPosted April 25, 2014 5:03 pm
Just saw an interview with Lucas Browne and he comes across as a really good guy, knowledgeable about the sport and totally honest about his place in the sport and where he’s going.
Good luck tomorrow and I’m sure the big fights will come.Posted April 25, 2014 3:38 pm
