browne and price would both murder leapai.

Posted April 16, 2014 10:05 am

@redz , lol no worries I have been in eastsideboxing for more then 10 years and I never change names especially if Alex happen to win in a future … And btw tko or ko the point is he was beaten by Kevin and your “studies ” that were done since my comment are not enough to make you defend Alex in such a fashion.. It just shows how much you even knew about Alex as a fighter

Posted April 15, 2014 8:29 pm

if you wana be ignorant with your way of thinking then expect trash to be chucked at you! theres only certain people on here that i do that to otherwise im able to have a sensîble chat with like minded boxing fans.

Posted April 15, 2014 4:38 am

and what! do you think i give a sh!t what people think of me? my opinions will just keep rolling on in here. and you dont trash talk? “leapai is a bum”, “even the hyped up bum wilder” thats right f!!k face, those are your quotes you used on your other comment on here! do you not remember writing that d!ckhead! clown!

Posted April 15, 2014 4:29 am

Sounds like your annoying many people.

Go back to school and get an education then maybe your views will be based on plausible logic. Not TRASH!

Posted April 15, 2014 4:07 am

ive studied you comments and found a few flaws! one being that kevins win over alex was a tko. NOT KO!!
and dont worry, alex wil still be around if he looses to wlad and will no dought fight a few if not one of the names you have mentioned. just dont go changhng your name on here, cause if leapai does win against any of those names im going to give you sh!t. alday everyday!.

Posted April 14, 2014 11:31 pm

@redz , then stop asking others opinion if it dosent matter …

Posted April 14, 2014 9:23 pm

you tell me where i wrote that alex will beat wlad! yea, i never did, so shut it!

Posted April 14, 2014 4:28 pm

my opinion is all that matters!

Posted April 14, 2014 4:25 pm

You are a complete tool who claims others are contradicting themselves. Have you ever stopped to read some of the excrement you write? Seriously keep a fresh ahead instead a brown nose to your islanders.

You say Mike Perez is too small at 6’1 to get into Wlad yet Alex Leapi is even smaller at 6′.

You sir are a King Douchbag!

Posted April 14, 2014 12:35 pm

do you lot really pay money to watch these big useless bums.

Posted April 14, 2014 10:29 am

It would seem Tony Thompson is the Gatekeeper to the Heavyweight contenders
Good luck to him, he is having a real purple patch

Kevin Johnson is just a name happy to travel around the World and be beaten up for a price and a few nights in a nice Hotel room

Posted April 14, 2014 8:54 am

Kevin * typo

Posted April 14, 2014 8:37 am

Leaving Johnson who lost to furry , vitally chisora and this Saturday night against charr lol

Posted April 14, 2014 8:36 am

I answered your question so if you don’t like my answer you shouldn’t call me names , say your opinion but don’t be angry bro .

Lepai got ko’d by Kevin Johnson. In 2012 and the only noticeable win he had was against boytsov …. After he gets flattened by klitchko next I hope he faces one of the names I mentioned and you will see how much I know about boxing …

Posted April 14, 2014 8:33 am

you need to go back to school and learn abit more i think!

Posted April 14, 2014 8:24 am

@redz , I did not say any of them beats klitchko but they are much better then lepai , you laughed at glazgov ? Lol he just beat adamek that’s enough right there and he is ranked at nr4 as a hw and mike Perez
Would have a way much easier time then he did with a tough abdulsalamov who would crush lepai…

Posted April 14, 2014 8:20 am

Till next time brother

Posted April 14, 2014 8:19 am

me and you are just going around in circles!time to give it a rest.. algood bro.

Posted April 14, 2014 8:03 am

@i know all about you two
what a dumb comment!cheap talker who hides behind a madeup names. my names redz and i dont change it to say stup!d sh!t like you. how many names do you use on this site, 10?

Posted April 14, 2014 7:53 am

Someone of the build of Lepai or Perez will not worry Klitschko
He has worked on a very successful strategy of smothering smaller slower opponents like a fire blanket
Holds, huddles and clinches
And then goes back to the jab and right hand to soften them up
He is now too cute too not go for the kill until all resistance has been beaten out of them

It will take someone as physically imposing as himself , to dethrone this guy

Posted April 14, 2014 7:40 am

by the way, boystov had a good amatuer career and had decent boxing experience. and then he got cleaned up by a guy who had no amatuer experience and who went pro pritty raw!being tuff has its merits as well.

Posted April 14, 2014 7:39 am

I know all about you two

Redz is a white-hater and DMX is an Aussie basher. You two couldn’t make sense out of a parking meter.

Posted April 14, 2014 7:34 am

yea, ive seen him fight. he got a lucky draw against takam. takam won that fight. perez is ok thought. im basing it on what my eyes tell me!ill reasess my opinion of perez after the jennings fight. like you say, perez is just to small to compete with wlad he wont be able to get inside and will just get jabbed up and clinched!and eventually koed! right?

Posted April 14, 2014 7:10 am

Based on what redz?
Have you seen Mike Perez fight?

Posted April 14, 2014 6:34 am

be prepared to loose your house then!

Posted April 14, 2014 5:58 am

lucas browne would not even win prizefighter.

Posted April 14, 2014 5:50 am

I Get the Islander sticking together thing,
but in fairness look at Perez amateur pedigree compared to Alex Lepai
Mike Perez has seen them all, tall rangy runners, fast starters, short squat hardmen,
he has dealt with all these styles no problem
Moved on

I would literally put my house on it if Perez fought Leapai
You cannot buy experience no matter how naturally tough you are

Posted April 14, 2014 5:26 am

brownes ranked 11 wbc 15 wba 15 ibf
leapai is ranked 1 wbo and 11 wba.
looks pritty much even to me..

Posted April 14, 2014 4:56 am

dont be fooled by lucas browne! you must think hes tough because of all his tattoos!

Posted April 14, 2014 4:49 am

do you just mention glazkov? hahahahaha. mate! your an id!ot!and what makes u think perez will bring anything different that leapai wont?lol! please tell me?

Posted April 14, 2014 4:36 am

The general feeling is Alex Leapai is not even the best Heavyweight in Australia
Lucas Browne is ranked higher
How they have not fought yet I do not know
But think it will be a hard day at the Office for Alex, let’s hope is corner are alert when he’s hurt

Posted April 14, 2014 4:17 am

At least after this fight klitchko should offer a title fight to either furry if he beats chisora or pulev or the winner of areola vs stivierne

Posted April 14, 2014 4:11 am

Pulev ,glazgov, mike Perez , areola ,stivierne , helenius all of these guys are much better then lepai who is 27th ranked in boxrec even David price is higher ….now I know klitchko can’t fight them because some of them are booked but if klitchko wants to fight any of them I think he can get it but please don’t tell me lepai is in klitchkos league

Posted April 14, 2014 4:09 am

who do you think wlad should be fighting?..

Posted April 14, 2014 2:50 am

Worldwide dullard. You idiot , I am the biggest klitchko fan and I am not blaming klitchko for this fight but by all means this fight IS A JOKE!!!!

Wladimir klitchko is getting old and is not in his interest fighting average hw
For the sake of his legacy ,lepai is no “Douglas “

Posted April 14, 2014 2:26 am

And so is the problem with boxing at present, Leapai does the hard yards , takes the whacks , self sacrifices to hear moans and groans of those, that never have, and never will, ever be able to say (other “than i told you so”) that i fought W.Kliitschko, a very handy type , for The H.W title of the world!!!! Yes pugilisticly Alex may be limited, but his fiber is of more testing material, than those that stroke the key’s of naysay and negativity.

Posted April 14, 2014 1:25 am

leapai doesnt mind taking the hits to get in some decent shots!john “pops” arthur noticed that when leapai was sparring his romanian charger!wlad just better not get complacent cause leapai has the power to put his lights out!..

Posted April 14, 2014 12:07 am

Mitch Green was a bean pole much like Wilder, and Mitch gave Tyson trouble the entire fight. Carl Williams was dropped like a sack of cement by good ole boy Tommy Morrison. The always tough Trevor Berbick was layed out cold for 8 seconds by none other than Dr. Steel Hammer!!

Posted April 13, 2014 11:37 pm

listen here you! i‘ve never said once that leapai will beat wlad, my jugdement aint clouded mate! my argument is people like you just keep saying hes a bum who shouldnt be fighting wlad. im telling you now, he a tuff powerful boxer who just lacks abit of technical skills but always give 100%. win or loose i always support atheletes on my side of the world. pacifc people always stick togeather!..

Posted April 13, 2014 11:33 pm

Redz it is great to see a guy so passionate about boxing and back up his fighter. Sometimes passion can cloud your judgement. I wish leapai all the best but he is getting in the ring with Wlad, a guy who makes talented fighters look like crap. Wlad will jab jab jab, frustrate Leapai who will not be able to get inside. Wlad will unload his powerful sneaky hook or devastating right hand when leapai is off balance and eventually game over. Should Leapai get inside he will get clinched. Wlads forumula works time and time again. I just dont see Leapai being competitive but great for supporting him.

Posted April 13, 2014 10:59 pm

Mormeck was a blown up cruiserweight… Leapai is a legitimate 245.

Posted April 13, 2014 10:50 pm

Leapai is no Mormeck though… He’s about 3 times as strong and tough.

Posted April 13, 2014 10:48 pm

No Heavyweight Champion has ever beaten challengers as big, tall, young, and skilled as the undefeated Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder — when those heavy champs were 38 and 39 years old. But this is what you will see Wladimir Klitschko do in the near future.

If all three win their upcoming fights—these fights will happen.

Posted April 13, 2014 10:45 pm

I agree with tark. A tall powerful athletic heavyweight with a good jab and movement would give tyson a hard fight. Wlad is a nightmare for anyone but especially short slow guys like Leapai. He has no chance. Worldwide, I fully understand Wlad did not cherry pick Leapai, I am just saying it will be a one sided jab jab jab and then bang gave over fight. Similar to the mormeck fight.

Posted April 13, 2014 10:35 pm

@worldwide dullards
well said. i agree.

Posted April 13, 2014 10:33 pm

Worldwide Dullards

Rod and Adrian are thick twits. Leapai earned this shot by beating Boytsov and becoming the Mandatory. It isn’t Wlad or Leapai’s fault that this fight is made. These are the rules. Be more concerned that China Chin Wilder and Glass Jaw Fury are buying their way to a title shot instead of fighting Top 5 contenders or high ranked eliminators.

Posted April 13, 2014 9:55 pm

I always knew big, tall guys who had speed, and who could box and punch, would be Hell on Tyson… Mike couldn’t charge through their punches like he did Spinks, Holmes, Truth Williams, or Trevor Berbick… Mike would have beaten Ali I believe. Ali was easy to hit and he couldn’t punch hard enough. Those were all the kinds of opponents who made Tyson look invincible.

Buster Douglas was the prototype of the Tyson nemesis.. At 6’4” X 232, big, strong, fast, and a good boxer and puncher. At the time I actually didn’t think Douglas was big, tall, or strong enough to beat Tyson. I thought Lennox Lewis, who was coming up, would be the first guy to beat Tyson… It was interesting that Tyson, Bowe, and Holyfield all tried to act as if Lewis didn’t exist… Anytime Lewis was mentioned they weren’t interested.

Ray Mercer wasn’t very big, tall, fast, or skilled, but he was a super tough man… Tyson didn’t particularly want to talk about Mercer, and didn’t actually want to be anywhere Ray Mercer was.

Wlad by KO in 5. Go Wladdy, KO the Samoan, then on to Pulev!

I would like to see Lucas Browne vs Leapai. Wlad was Leapai is a total joke. Wlad will fighting him with one hand and make it entertaining.

No Germans do fisting, scatter, p!ss drinking, and vinegar rimming
Dirty race that they are

Posted April 12, 2014 9:32 pm

Fighting Words

Tyson, had a lot of fighting heart. When your corner man does not give you the right fight plan, and you run into a situation where you don’t know how to respond then you are a sitting duck, especial when your opponent get good instruction from his corner and he is motivated to beat you and if your show any kind of weakness, or give him any kind of encouragement that his plan is working then you are in for a long night if it goes that long. Rooney knew Tyson weakness and his strengths, so they worked on that plan in camp so he could dominate his opponents, but after Rooney the only instructions Tyson got from his corner was “Hit Him With Bad Intention” That does not win fights and it causes your fighter to be discourage and give up when he opponents do not fall from the bad advice.
Tyson was the best there was, he was not afraid to fight anyone, he was a world Champion and he defended his belts every 3 months, and he was defending them all over the world, can we say JAPAN!

i am a kanaka maoli.

Posted April 12, 2014 5:47 pm

never heard of that before. no kanaka would call a samoan a kanaka. i don’t know if a samoan would want to be called a kanaka. “real time life” in the islands says the rock would have played kamehameha if he was a kanaka. the rock is samoan.

Origin was Hawaiian but later was applied to other south sea islanders.

U.S. nautical and Australian name for “native of South Sea islands,” 1840, from Hawaiian kanaka “man” (Samoan tangata).

Posted April 12, 2014 3:05 pm

Kanaka??? I think you mean “Tamaloa”. Kanaka comes from the Hawaiian language. Leapai is Samoan.

Posted April 12, 2014 2:40 pm

Alex is wearing puppets instead of gloves, that his only chance to throw klitchko off his game. Puppet show/ boxing match, interesting.

Posted April 12, 2014 2:32 pm

W-Klit should win on points because Leapai is not much more than a dumb kanaka with decent power and the ability to soak up punishment like a sponge. What I expect to see is a basic re-run of W-Klit vs Povetkin, although Leapai is a more potent hitter and could get lucky against the fading fast Ukrainian – though it’s not likely.

If Lepai’s fists will do the talking they’ll say: “I give up.”

Posted April 12, 2014 2:17 pm

That should be “when” not “he”

Posted April 12, 2014 12:30 pm

Tyson always was a “on top” fighter
He never ever won when things never went his way

He the heat got turned up
He fell on the floor and refused to get up

To be fair though he did take his licks
he could never just find the will to turn it around

Posted April 12, 2014 12:28 pm

leapai gets lit up son

Posted April 12, 2014 12:11 pm

My mistake Boystov last fight wasnt with a clubfighter in a 6 rounder before the Leapai fight. But his last 2 fights before Leapai was with clubfighters in 8 rounders…Boystov was destroyed with injuries causeing long lay-offs and was not a prospect at this point anymore. How Boystov and Leapai have gotten into the position they were in to fight for a title shot…is beyond me.

Posted April 12, 2014 11:58 am

It’s simple folks.

Leapi is a bum from his limited boxing ability, weight, speed and his boxrec. Only one having some faith in him is the hype coming from Australia and even then I reckon 99% really deep down no they are dreaming.

He will be toyed with for 3-4 rounds and KO or TKO in rounds 5-8. He has no place in the ring with Klitschko.

In fact, apart from Vitali, there is nobody with a chance in beating WK. However, there are far better challenges (still loose) like Pulev, Fury or even the hyped bum Deontay Wilder if he can land a lucky right hand bomb.

Posted April 12, 2014 11:34 am

mike s

Klitschko should roll Leapai up with relative ease-I think the spped difference is so much-I’m expecting Wlad to come out firing like when he fought Mercer and savage Leapai early and often-he just doesn’t have the hand, foot, or head speed to cope w Klitschko-if Leapai is around for the 10-12 rounds I would consider that a disappointment for Klitschko

Posted April 12, 2014 11:12 am

Boystov was so shot in his fight against Leapai,he was coming off a fight against a clubfighter that was a 6 rounder!!!Boystov was suppose to go far in the divison but was crumbling with injuries, bad hands, and ofcourse this kept him inactive for long periods.Leapai is no Braddock…Braddock had a solid amature background and solid wins as a pro before he walked away and hurt his hand.Yes nobody thought Braddock could come back and win the title when he did, just like nobody really thinks Leapai can win the title…but Braddock was more proven in the ring then Leapai is at this point.W.K. is not going to be taken just yet…and not by a guy like Leapai.

Posted April 12, 2014 11:10 am

@Redz..Dont get me wrong i would love to see the powershift change in the heavyweight division and see leapai win, but I cant see how. Wlads the king of pushing people down leaning all over them when someone with power worries him.

Posted April 12, 2014 10:46 am

i remember the day before the boystov fight this guy interviewed alex and said to him, what do you think tommorows out comes going to be? alex said, im going to knock him out, hes not going to like it when i hit him, it aint going the distance!alex didnt get the knockout but he didnt put boystov on his @ss twice and mauled out a points win. and with a torn calf muscle as well!

Posted April 12, 2014 10:15 am

alex will most likley loose but you get some id!ots that come on here talk some sh!t and just dont know f!!k all about alex leapai. he aint no bum is what im basicly saying.

Posted April 12, 2014 10:00 am

i dont know. might be the same reason why tua never fought leapai. who knows bro. they might be scared of one another. hahaha.

Posted April 12, 2014 9:41 am

How have Leapai and Lucas Brown avoided each other for so long?
They usually match them hard in Australia and early too

Posted April 12, 2014 9:32 am

you fullas dont oviously read enough! yea he had trouble with travis walker but that was 8 years ago. his loss to kevin johnson was 2 1/2 yrs ago!hes gotten better since then. alexs chin is solid, hes never been koed before in his life. his problem is hes got no head movement and he just sucks up to many punches. you gotta remember he hasnt got no amatuer record as well and went straight pro raw as! but with decent power! hes done well to get where he is!

Posted April 12, 2014 9:28 am

his over hand right aint slow mate, its being measured by some sports geeks at some sport tech university in australia. it travels at 14.6 metres per sec! alex has the best overhand right in the divison!

Posted April 12, 2014 9:17 am

leapai is not quick enough to be able to give out enough power shots to the big man. This will be so simple for wlad who wil shut leapai out for an easy points win

Posted April 12, 2014 9:16 am

leapai wont be doing much talking than

Posted April 12, 2014 8:07 am

To take Klitschko you gotta be able to take a shot
Yes Leapai can
But he has also been on the deck about 5 x times vs Journeymen
I also don’t his hand speed is quick enough
His big slow telegraphed rights make me cringe
Also he has never shown that he is conditioned enough to go 12 hard rounds
Come round 5 he is huffing and puffing with his tongue hanging out

No upset here, just a vicious one sided beat down

Posted April 12, 2014 7:44 am

TKO- Agreed no comparison. Tyson did show heart in the loss to Douglas. He took so many heavy shots before he went down. For this fight WK all the way.

Posted April 12, 2014 7:24 am

OH Yeah

Get ready for the biggest upset since ‘Buster’ Douglas beat up ‘no heart’ Tyson. Leapai going to stun Wlad with a left uppercut and knock him out with an overhand right. You heard it here first. Some big money to be made on this fight, Wlad is there for the taking.
