Johnson will also mix a plenty of body shots in there, I think.

Posted November 16, 2013 3:53 am

@ Mike: All due respect but I think Johnson will use his jab and stick & move with Solis, landing combinations in the process. I think Johnson will pressure Solis anyway, because he knows that if he loses this one, his career is over. I don’t see Solis responding well to pressure, especially since he’s gonna come in fat and out of shape. I pick Johnson to win by lopsided UD or late stoppage.

Posted November 16, 2013 3:53 am

king pin will try to pressure solis. When it doesn’t work and Solis hits him, Johnson will go back to his defense and lose a fight by being slightly out worked by the out of shape solis

Posted November 13, 2013 12:19 am

Solis KO Johnson? I don’t think so. The only time LAFARTSA scores a KO is when he’s “knocking out” a double order of twelve boneless parmesan garlic wings at BWW’s. And oh, LAFARTSA also scores a “knockout” when he produces his HUGE FARTS, making all the fellow customers pass out. :-P

Posted November 10, 2013 6:03 pm

who is this prick.

Posted November 10, 2013 5:22 pm

Easy fight for Solis….Kingpin is good goy…He will be running during 5-7 rounds, but the fat and more skilled Cuban will KO him after 7…

Posted November 10, 2013 10:09 am

LAFARTSA is gonna lose on the 26th!

Posted November 10, 2013 5:16 am

solis has one of the better carrer achievements from amatuer through to pro than most! 6 gold and 1 silver next to his name! when he turned pro he racked up an 11-0 record in 18 months..

Posted November 10, 2013 12:18 am

To win, Johnson just needs to keep that excellent left jab coming along with his fast combinations. Solis will be sent into retirement.

Posted November 9, 2013 11:20 pm

@ Lee: No offense, but this is the pros, and Solis WILL come in FAT and OUT OF SHAPE. I predict a lopsided UD in favor of “The Kingpin,” maybe a late stoppage. Solis was great in committed in the amatuers, but he’s a fat, seven sandwich eatin’ pork roast now.

Posted November 9, 2013 11:13 pm

Easy fight for Solis…

1998 Gold medalist at the Junior World Amateur Boxing Championships
1999 Panamerican Games Champion
2001 Gold medalist at heavyweight at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in Belfast
2003 Gold medalist at heavyweight at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in Bangkok, Thailand
Panamerican Games Champion
2004 Gold medalist at heavyweight at the Olympics in Athens.
2005 Gold medalist at Super heavyweight at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in Mianyang
Six time Cuban National Champion (1999-2004)
Won 2 of 3 fights against Felix Savon

Even is Solis is 48 years old and weighting 500 lbs would beat Kingpin

Posted November 9, 2013 10:18 pm

Kevin Johnson was definitely aggressive enough in his ko wins over Vargas and Leapai. If that Kevin Johnson shows up, Solis is toast!

Posted November 9, 2013 7:20 pm

@ Vlad the Impaler: Thanks, my friend! Yeah, both Jennings and Perez would definitely be motivated, in shape, and both are good technical boxers in my opinion. Would definitely like to see it happen. Have a good weekend! :-)

Posted November 9, 2013 7:19 pm

If talent alone was all that is needed to reach the top or near it then both these guys would be up there.Unfortunately Solis won’t train and Johnson won’t attack so what we see is two underachievers who are going nowhere. It will be a dull fight with no real winner, just one fighter who looks worse than the other.Take your choice. It is 50-50.

Posted November 9, 2013 2:49 pm

yeah this fight will either raise somebodies stakes in the heavyweight division or it will be the coffin that houses both their corpses. Kevin Johnson has really no chance of resurrecting anything. I’m looking at old soliz and i expect the trend to continue and if it doesn I dont want to hear anything about either fighter again.

Posted November 9, 2013 11:00 am

Vlad the Impaler

@Bluesman, Jennings – Perez is a fantastic idea! I would love to see that fight. Great example of two guys who should be really motivated! Awesome!

Posted November 9, 2013 10:19 am

Vlad the Impaler

Of these two guys were ambitious, motivated, had a great work ethic, and wanted to be world champions, this would be a great fight. Unfortunately they will both be out of shape, no aggression, safety first, and it will go 12 rounds. Boring, and it will clear up nothing. This fight is irrelevant to the heavyweight scene.

How about “napkin”?

Posted November 9, 2013 9:09 am

another freak show.

Posted November 9, 2013 7:46 am

johnson’s nick should be safetypin

Posted November 9, 2013 7:05 am

@ piechucker: That’s awesome man! Glad to hear it! :-)

Posted November 9, 2013 5:47 am

im spanking the poker world at the moment, so far the weekend has been most profitable :)

Posted November 9, 2013 5:01 am

@ piechucker: Thanks my friend. Hope you have a good weekend.

Posted November 9, 2013 4:22 am

bluesman – hahaha good one, he sure is a fat slob

Posted November 9, 2013 2:56 am

I’d like to see Bryant Jennings vs. Mike Perez.

Posted November 9, 2013 2:23 am

@ Piechucker: Yes, Kevin Johnson can be a sissy, but Solis is a big, fat disgrace. I think that the only “weapons” that Solis has that might bother Johnson are his HUGE FARTS, which come from Solis’s gluttony at Taco Bell and Buffalo Wild wings. I heard that a Taco Bell had to close down temporarily because Solis kept farting while eating his grilled stuft burritos. A Taco Bell employee lit a match to try and kill the horrible smell. Unfortunately, the fumes from the farts were ignited by the match, causing a small explosion, destroying all the chairs and tables.

Great to see Kingpin back! I hope he gets that roadwork so we can see his hands exploit the openings that insane defense of his creates. Kingpin is one of the best US HWs on the scene. I just want to see him shine offensively as much as he does defensively.

Wow Tark. sounds like this Mork dude really owned your passagd made you his meaty little slut. I`m glad the surgery went well.

“Wilder is not refusing to fight anybody… He fights whoever his team can get for him… He’s not reasponible for his team being inept.” – GBP inept? I doubt that. It’s a heavily funded firm that many believe has eclipsed Top Rank as the world’s top boxing promotional company. If anyone is well positioned to get Wilder the appropriate comp it’s GBP. That tells you GBP believes Wilder’s current level of comp is entirely appropriate — at the cherrypicking level.

“One more note there’s been a lot of fake Tark posters out there.” – That dude is demented.

Posted November 8, 2013 6:31 pm

Solis has too much skill for Johnson.
Might be a boring fight though with Solis only throwing the odd eye catching punch per couple of rounds, Johnson will come in defensive and won;t throw too much to trouble Solis.
It will end up being an uninspiring points win for Solis.

Posted November 8, 2013 3:48 pm

Someone needs to tell king pin that you can only win a fight if you hit your opponent, rope a dope n 3 mins a round for 10 or 12 rounds dosent win fights. He isnt a bad boxer at all, im mean at least out of the 30 rounds ive seen him fight I belive he did throw a 6 punch combo once and looked good.

Posted November 8, 2013 3:43 pm

Solis will never lose to a guy that lost to Fury and Hamer!

Posted November 8, 2013 2:36 pm

The Real Tark

Bustajay I think your right Johnson looks to run out of gas around the sixth round

Posted November 8, 2013 12:32 pm

Two unmotivated guys

Posted November 8, 2013 10:54 am

hippo v elephant….

Posted November 8, 2013 10:36 am

Bill Patrice Jones

Solis just fights to make a living now that is all. He seems to have zero ambition to ever fight for a world title again. He was motivated for his big oppurtunity against Vitali, and alot of money came in on him late, but suffered freakishly bad luck. However awful that was most probably felt it was a slice of karma for someone whose disrespected their training so consistently. Meaningless fight and a boring stylistic matchup. Now Solis Vs Wilder that I would pay to see

Posted November 8, 2013 10:32 am

Dear Real TARK
this could be a sleeper fight but I expect Solis will be forced to push the action and Johnson will gas out prior to RD 6

Posted November 8, 2013 9:55 am

Both guys are hungry but can they control there eating. Good fight to be made. Expect Solis to win but should be compettive.

Posted November 8, 2013 9:11 am

Ahhh, this is a good fight for Solis… it’ll test how hungry he really is to fight and get into shape. Johnson isn’t going to commit to any sort of offense, so Solis is really going to have to push the pace and I don’t know that he’s capable at his usual weight.

Posted November 8, 2013 9:04 am

No one is ducking the bummy bum bum . Decent jab . Rotten mouth. Fat Cuban should win unless he tears his knee

Posted November 8, 2013 8:37 am

Posted November 8, 2013 8:07 am

Posted November 8, 2013 8:07 am

bluesman – queenpin is a sissy. solis, although a fat lazy prick, should have no problems with girly kev

Posted November 8, 2013 7:59 am

Solis will box Queenpin’s ears off, it won’t be close.

Posted November 8, 2013 6:19 am

Ducking him? Delusional! Damn, I ain’t ducking him. Nor is anyone else. He’s just nothing to any vaguely important heavyweight.

Posted November 8, 2013 5:31 am

I don’t think Solis has anything that would really bother Johnson; Johnson knew he couldn’t beat Klitschko and that’s why he didn’t do anything in the fight. Solis on the other hand is VERY beatable. After all, Ray Austin was ahead on the cards against Solis until his glass jaw got in the way. Like I said before, Johnson should win by lopsided UD or late round stoppage.

Posted November 8, 2013 5:16 am

deep water

solis by late round ko

Posted November 8, 2013 3:42 am

I like it too. I soliz can get in shape and get into the swing of things again. his striking were special

Posted November 8, 2013 3:23 am

the voice of reason

I like this fight – i think solis is a very good fighter who seems to have let it all slide a bit over the last few years. If he gets his act together you gotta fancy him against anyone in the world. Johnson too is very capable on his day and is not without confidence so this is a very interesting match-up. Though i see a chess match rather than a war here

Posted November 8, 2013 3:22 am

I’m not sold on Wilder yet. All he’s done is fight BUMS, and until he steps ups the competition and fights a live body, as far as I’m concerned he is nothing!

Posted November 8, 2013 2:07 am

If Johnson fights Solis right and sticks his jab in Solis’s face and keeps the combinations coming, I think Johnson will win by either lopsided UD or late stoppage.

Posted November 8, 2013 2:01 am

Tark happy that the surgery went well. Thanks for your openness and honesty.

Posted November 8, 2013 1:59 am

bahahahahaha good luck with the new ring tark

Decent boxing matchup here, the winner gets back into the mix. But it will result in 0 fireworks. Bad stylistic matchup if you’re looking for a rumble. Neither guy will go for the KO and it’ll have a lot of posing and feints. So fun.

Posted November 7, 2013 11:27 pm

Solis’s talent for boxing is exceeded only by his talent for eating.

He doesn`t need to cut the ring off. Give him some chilli sauce and he`ll eat it like ropa vieja until there is nowehere left for Safetypin to go.

Posted November 7, 2013 11:23 pm

Johnson makes the classic boxing error of not trying to punch the other guy.

It`s like you are watching a computer game and one guy hasn`t got the c.o.n.t.roller plugged in.

He needs to be completely reset, real ctrl+alt+delete stuff – crawl back up his mama’s v.a.g, wait a few months and slide out again – see if maybe he has been born a boxer THIS time around.

Kevin, no one is ducking you. Stop being ridiculous.

Posted November 7, 2013 11:14 pm

kev, your utterly woeful and pathetic non-effort against klit has forever rendered you irrelevant.

Posted November 7, 2013 11:12 pm

Wilder is not refusing to fight anybody… He fights whoever his team can get for him… He’s not reasponible for his team being inept.

Posted November 7, 2013 11:05 pm

Wilder refused to fight Johnson because his chin is too good and the fight might go the distance which is too many rounds for Wilder, and what if Johnson were to throw a punch back? Johnson would knock Wilder out. Of course, Wilder refused to fight Chisora, everyone knows his excuse was bogus and it is well known that Wilder also refused to fight Thompson. Wonder if Wilder will call out Ali?

Posted November 7, 2013 10:58 pm

This will be a terrible fight.

Posted November 7, 2013 10:39 pm

?. Johnson lost to tor hamer and Tyson fury. he is awesome?

Posted November 7, 2013 9:09 pm

Decent test for Solis.Being a lazy type fighter Solis needs these kind of fights to keep him in shape and sharp…because if he isnt Johnson will beat him!!!

Posted November 7, 2013 8:39 pm

Jim Rich

Where do i get his autograph this guy is um a legend right.

Posted November 7, 2013 8:39 pm

I’ll take Solis. Johnson is all talk and no bite.

Posted November 7, 2013 8:31 pm

I expect Johnson to win this one….
