IF BRADLEY FIGHTS JMM in the same vain that he fought PROVODNIKOV he will get taken apart. MARQUEZ will drill him with solid, hurtful counters all night long.

IMHO Desert Storm has slipped quite markedly since Pacquiao and shipped tremendous punishment vs PROVODNIKOV, the sort of which can make you an old man overnight.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Tim falls apart late in the fight if he can’t impose his fight on Marquez. But, all in all this looks a distance fight as both have good chins and powers of recuperation. When all is said and done I would expect to see a close but UD for DINAMITA.

JMM boxing IQ is much higher than Tims. I see Marquez taking a few rounds to get warmed up and put his plan together then going to work. Tim has a big heart no doubt, JMM will take him deep and outsmart him. JJM by way of MD. Then again with the judges as of late, who knows.

Marquez has a massive ability to focus… He was drilled into Pacquiao’s every feint and move in their 4th fight.

That was no HAIL MARY Mother of God Punch on Manny, that punch was from the floor and well timed. JMM knew exactly what he was throwing. Hail Mary is saved for the last 2 rounds. Timmy better be careful saying ‘No 40 Year Old is going to beat me’, just like BoHop said ‘ain’t no white boy going to beat me’ to Calzag!! Be Careful with JMM. Even at 40. He is tough guy who will get up off the canvas, wipe the blood away, and beat your ass.

If styles make fights Marquez wins.., He’s the great counterpuncher and Tim is an aggressive buzzsaw…

An aggressive buzzsaw meeting a puncher was Frazier-Foreman — and it almost happened like that again when Bradley met Provodnikov. After his trainer screamed at Tim to box enough times it started to register and Tim started boxing.

But he’s not a natural boxer.. He goes in there and throws.. This time let’s see if he can stay disciplined and box for 12 — because he needs to.

red…and Julio Chavez had 86 ko’s. So what. What’s your point. Not all ko’s come by way of hail mary’s, which are merely punches thrown with the hopes they will land, unlike a punches delivered knowing full well when it hits, the opponent is going down. Think Tyson…Think Matthysse. Knucklehead.

Posted October 1, 2013 2:49 pm

lucky punches or hail marys are just lapses in judgement by the opponent, as long as a fighter keeps throwing punches with intentions of landing they cannot be considered lucky….there really aren’t lucky punches in boxing they’re just carelessness on the part of the opponent

Marquez is going to pick Bradley apart and knock him out, JMM is way too sharp of a counter puncher.

Robe you really are quite silly “hail mary punch” he flattened pac man on his back in round 3, then later flattened him face down for a few scarey minutes. this featherweight lightweight career fighter has “FOURTY KOs” More than Lennox Lewis!!!! “40 KOS” All hail marys i suppose.. Idiot.

Posted October 1, 2013 11:06 am

But, given styles make fights….unfortunately, Bradley will pull out the win albeit, in a boring, marathon like fight, and JMM will be exposed as the beatable fighter he is, about as beatable as he was before throwing a fancy hail mary punch. Although, no way Bradley will be able to inflict the type of damage Pac made JMM suffer from. Fortunately, it will be better than Flloyd’s fight.

It takes an arrogant person to seriously believe “no old man is going to beat his ass,” and to doubt, JMM is not the person to do it. Bradley needs to look no further than Hopkins before making ridiculous assumptions about age. Hopefully, his arrogance gets the best of him, a two time loser actually.

Marquez will have to knock Bradley out to get a draw! The damned criminal judges are just that, criminal! Pac beat Bradley, yet Bradley claims he won?! Everyone knows that Bradley lost. I wonder if Mayweather’s judges gave Bradley the decision to help keep Void away from Pac? There is some sinister reason. Marquez can’t win a decision against Bradley, the judges appear to be on Bradley’s side.

Bradley is made-to-order for a great counterpuncher—just like Juan Diaz was. Bradley is a short, busy, aggressive, light hitting guy, who gives you tons of opportunities to counter … because Tim throws like crazy.

Provodnikov is a terrific puncher so it was almost as bad a matchup for Tim as Marquez.. Provo caught Tim between shots.. JMM can do that better.. He knows Bradley is going to throw—so all he has to do is wait—and be sharp when Tim commits.

On Bradley’s side, Marquez is 40 and slowing.. Tim has to pepper JMM like Mayweather did.. Don’t commit to big punches. Don’t try to land hard.. Speed is the key.. Tim is short with very short arms, so this approach is very difficult for him. But Tim’s going to try … He messed it up with Provo.

Hendo – LOL I love when Marquez said he’s happy his rivalry with Pacquiao ended with him putting Pacquiao to sleep!! Pacquiao fans HATE him for that, but lets be honest, if Manny had put Marquez to sleep, they’d rub it in the faces of JMM’s fans until the end of time. JMM closed the book on their rivalry in DEVASTATING fashion. I love it.

Pacman will always be over shadowed by Marquez…. In any conversation or arguments that you bring up Pacman someone will hit under the belt and bring up right away that he got KO by Marquez.

Just to be clear, don’t bring up any discussion about Pacman unless you are talking about the perfect punch that landed on him and put him to sleep. :o)

When Marquez KO Pacman cold, he also KO all of Pacman’s fan… You see them in every forum bringing up Pacman and hating on other boxer…. Just because they lost their bragging rights.

What ever you say will never change the fact that Blinky aka (Shadow) chump down on Pacman; therefore Juan Manuel Marquez will always shadow Pacman; and this my fellow forum is a punch that will hit under the belt every single time.

Its an EASY fight for Floyd and that BOGUS win that Bradley was gifted over Pacquiao holds about as much Cache with REAL boxing fans as other epic robbery does…I would love Tim Bradley to face Floyd its an EASY nights work for him but I seriously doubt Bradley get by Marquez he struggled with a CRUDE stamina challenged boxer like Provodnikov and had his head ringing for 2 months by his own admission

SREDMOND has used the same theory before, you know, the one Terror Tim is using now: if Bradley wins, it’s because Marquez got old overnight…so, if Marquez wins, well he’s the legend, the better man, he’s supposed to; how can SREDMOND or Terror Tim be wrong at all???? They have managed to come up with the perfect prediction. Again, congrats.

@largo – Yeah Tim isn`t a Malignaggi, and he can and does hurt people and push them backwards. My point on his power is that it isn`t one-punch power, it isn`t to be feared as a counterpuncher. Tim can hurt you when he opens up, but he is then open himself – you get a margin for error, and enough of a sample that he can be timed.

Posted September 29, 2013 11:16 pm

The Prince

Bradley know he’s not the most talented boxer, but he also knows that most boxers don’t keep themselves as well-conditioned as he does. The reason why he was able to remain in the Pacquaio fight and win most of the later rounds, was because of his conditioning, while Ppcquiao was doing the Oscar tactic of not punching until the last 30 seconds of the later rounds. Like Oscar, it didn’t work and he lost. I do believe Pacquiao still won the fight by two rounds, but Bradley stayed hungry and got the upset. Bradley is going to take the fight to Marquez and try to out-work him. However, Marquez is good at timing his opponents and Bradley’s last fight was almost career ending in terms of the punishment he took. A good match up, but that 40 year old Marquez is the much healthier fighter.

Marquez is dirty and no amount of random testing will prove it. Lance Armstong was tested more than anyone on the planet and he NEVER FAILED A TEST!!! Marquez has enlisted a trainer who is known to be dirty and who along with scum like Conte are doping fighters and athletes and can beat the system. Conte was quoted as saying that unless someone actually see’s him doping someone there is no way to catch it on a test. So all of these added tests are meaningless. I wouldn’t be surprised if Pacquiao is dirty too… I hope not… but honestly I really wouldn’t be surprised… Marquez has proven he will do ANYTHING to get an edge… drinking his own urine, cupping therapy, using a hyperbaric chamber! which should be illegal… eating special eggs… the list goes on and on… ending with hiring a known drug pusher and former drug user in Heredia. Nonito Donaire using Victor Conte is another prime example that a fighter pushing for more random testing… while using a trainer known for doping… means THEY CAN BEAT THE TESTS!!! I hope Bradley knocks Marquez out… then gets a fight with Mayweather.

when Team Punkuiao* dared question Marquez’s training methods, Marquez challenged him to improved testing. Pacquiao* declined. Marquez has now agreed to improving anti-doping procedures for his bout v. Bradley “to remove all doubt” and as usual testing is a non-issue. the ONLY time that harmless, Random, and MUTUALLY-Applied testing becomes an issue is when one fighter refuses to test. Pacquiao* is the ONLY fighter in Boxing history to ever refuse an anti-doping challenge. his fanboys and “expert” shills are notoriously slow on the uptake but for experienced fight-fans, pok-pok-pok-POKquiao* was exposed years ago.

I’m one that stand solidly against the general public when they say the Manny Pacquioa beat Timothy Bradley. I believe Bradley out work and out threw Pacquioa almost the entire fight. You can go back and bring up punch stat numbers but I would ask you to do what I did and go back and start counting the punches for yourself. The one round I remember most was round 10 where punch stat had Pacquioa out landing Bradley. If you go back and count for yourself punch stat was way way off. I’m picking Bradley to beat one of my all time favorite fighters in Marquez. I think the Marquez has stayed to long in the game of boxing and it will catch up with him in this fight against Bradley. I would like to see Marquez win and retire on a high note but his stamina isn’t what it used to be and Bradley will almost certainly be there all night throwing punches.

Bradley should win this fight but he’s going to pressured every minute of it and the question that has never been answered is : Can Bradley take the pressure…. Give Marquez credit for what he’s done. I, for one, believe that in all the fights he had with PACKMAN, he won most of them even though he didn’t get the nod , he still won them and PACKMAN knows it. Anyone who thinks that Packman wants a rematch with Marquez is only fooling himself. Pacquio is another Tyson who thinks everyone is afraid of hm. Many will realize that he isn’t invincible and is beatable proven by a old warrior; Marquez. After all, look what a nobody by the name of Buster Douglas did to the GREAT Mike Tyson and look what an old fighter by the name of Marquez did to Packman; not only beat his ass, but knocked the sucker out. Bradley is in for a war and although he’s younger and probably faster, I doubt he’s more powerful. The key to a Bradley victory is to get off first and keep moving and for a Marquez victory , destroy the body then attack the head and the only way that’s done is to pursue Bradley constantly. It shouldn’t be a great fight, but a least a good fight. Has anyone ever considered asking PACKMAN who he thinks will win this fight ? … I’d say he ‘d go with MARQUEZ… Regardless the outcome, Marquez should retire after this one and so should PACKMAN.. Ped Man Marquez will some day be exposed. Why so many people are in denial and defend him is beyond reason. We all know the story about Angel Hereida and his infamous story of providing the USA Olympic team with Peds. We all know and have heard Angel Hereida say in his video tape that he could mask anything. We all know that the NSAC lets all camps know what they test for. I along with others watched on a television station Ped Man Marquez and Nacho tell the media that they knew nothing about Hereida, and then changed their story a few days later. We all know Ped man Marquez stalled and didn’t want to do both VADA and USADA testing for the Bradley fight. He sure ran as far away as he could from fighting th elgendary Manny Pacquiao after Freddie wanted to do more strict testing. You don’t need a weapon to convict a man of murder. If it looks like a snake, talks like a snake and acts like a snake. Guess what it’s a snake. As far as Manny Pacquiao is concerned, he is the only 8 time division champion, voted the fighter of the decade, laced the cover of TIME Magazine, Congressman of his Country, sells hit songs with his sought after voice, has sponsor-ships throughout the world, his movies are record breaking, his bible studies are packed, he’s a great philanthropist and helps the poor. Trust me, Ped Man has nothing on the great legend that is Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao leads the series 3 wins to 1. Manny Pacquiao is arguably the greatest fighter of all time, and he is a modest, humble, respectful, nice, caring CLEAN fighter. And most importantly, all people love him.

It’s good for a fighter to have confidence and tell himself that he’ll win. But Bradley should face reality after watching the tape of his last fight. you too Largo, let me just say whoever is betting on Bradley that’s just a safe bet just don’t bet the farm because Marquez may try to surprise us but I think the champ doesn’t need to prove anything else win lose or draw, good match up though…it’s crazy!

Ped Man Marquez once again stalled the testing time frame and will be on the juice. I guarantee with any doubt that he will KO Bradley because crap he’s on. Ped Man Marquez will win by KO. Remember, this is a 40 year old man that was in decline. The man is a cheater!

If JM Marquez is still working with the same strength & conditioning guy when he fought Pacquiao last time then I can’t see anyone beating him. He turned Marquez into an incredible hulk & I think Marquez can fight untill the age of 60!!!

Bradley needs to remember what he is – a hard-working, iron willed athlete with good but not great skills, below average power and a tendency to start trying to slug tpo prove a point. He`s started letting his mouth run away from him a bit since the Pacman fight, and if he is starting to believe half of what he says, then someone like JMM, tag him, make the red mist come down, and then take him apart piece by piece.

Papo

I disagree about Bradley “not looking good against Pcquiao”. Sure, he may have been giving “a gift decision”, but the fight was much closer than Pac’s fans wants to believe. Many didn’t think he could go the distance against Pac, but he did and made it a fight.

I will also agree with Bradley; Marquez is not a young fighter and it will show on this fight. A few years back I would have favor Marquez, but not now. I pick Bradley by decision as Marquez will slow down by the sixth.

Styles make fights .. And I feel that Timmy’s style hie strengths and weakness will be highlighted by fighting JMM … Could be a very lopsided UD…………?

author did not give Provo enough credit. Ruslan is an above average boxer. Bradley should win this.

Bradley is a bum ass overated fighter, great condition but thats where it stops… Got 2 gifts in a row… Hope Marquez k.o.’s him…

The Prince

Good match up. If Bradley is able to work, he’ll win by UD. If Marquez is able to slow the pace, he’ll win by UD.

Johnny

Bradley by UD. He’ll win by potshotting and outlanding Marquez. Still its a coin flip fight

WHAT!?!

I have no doubt that 40 yr old JMM will whip, beat, and embarrass Bradley. Still doesn’t mean he’ll get the win if the last 2 gifts are an indication of the fraudulent decisions given to Bradley. The Las Vegas, where you need a KO for a draw against the house fighter.

punch

Marquez by UD, Marquez won’t be concerned by Bradleys punching power and he won’t have to look for Bradley to catch him. Speed is Bradley’s only advantage in this fight and if he’s smart enough to use it, he might actually win. However, I know Bradley gets carried away easily and will want to exchange with Marquez thus playing into Marquez’s hand.
