Wow, your reading comprehension is horrible. How you come to the conclusions you do are quite sad, I was hoping for some witty comebacks from you but all you seem to know is not useful in this type of situation.
I am sure if Sheriff Joe took a closer look at your lack of character, your threats of physical violence when being out-witted by several posters on an internet website, not to mention inability to play well with others, he would realize there are serious flaws in the generous CCW laws that are in effect in his county.
Don’t fret Nancy, I’m almost done with you…

Clearly you’re weren’t aware that the concealed carry laws in AZ changed in 2010. I caught you with your pants down, again, and proved that you don’t know what you’re talking about most of the time.

All this other petty B.S. you’ve brought up concerning stipulations and minor details is just an weak attempt to cloud the waters and hide the fact that you DID NOT know the gun laws in AZ until I educated you on it. Facts!

Now shut your gaping hole an move along, old man. You’re stinking up the place again because you never have anything intelligent and/or insightful to say about boxing. Just go away, you simple nuisance, and start harassing TARK again.

I am well aware of the legal stipulations, but it’s not necessary to go into that level of detail on a boxing site. You’ve NEVER set me straight on anything and never will, coward.

Of course I was referring to grown adults, not teenagers, and citizens who are legally permitted to owned firearms. If you haven’t noticed, ESB isn’t exactly crawling with teenagers, so I really don’t need to spell-out every little detail just for you, a-hole. And I’m never going to start editing/ proofreading my owns posts, just because you think it makes you sound smart to point out typos and minor errors. I really don’t have time for that nonsense. Now go away and get a life, you silly old douchebag.

VOICE, of course my resentment of Manny* results in bias. just like you wouldn’t trust Cheato Sr. to wrap an opponent’s fists or Tyson to chaperone beauty-pageant contestants. Team Pacquiao* has priors of avoiding primary rivals, handpicking faded Names, and compromising competitive matchups with exotic and one-sided conditions that only favor Pacquiao*. that is my bias as it should be for every fight-fan and it began with Pacquiao* avoiding the eagerly-anticipated and red-hot rematch v. Marquez. NOTHING qualifies as a credible excuse for that action or Pacquiao’s* refusal to put his foot down and inSist on the rematch that fight-fans wanted and Boxing needed. also, let’s make one thing clear: Marquez and Marquez alone is responsible for fueling their rivalry over Eight (8) F’n Years of being avoided, brushed-off, disrespected, and otherwise diminished as being too old, too ringworn, and not being a draw. Pacquiao* v. Bradley didn’t even crack 800,000 PPVs and that was before Pacquiao* was FLATTENED by Marquez or an undefeated Bradley ever came close to being defeated. i don’t expect Pacquiao* v. Rios to do much better. Btw, if Marquez declared his bout v. Bradley to be the last fight of his career, you can easily expect anywhere from 1 to 1.5 million PPV buys and if Pacquiao* had only agreed to face Marquez in Mexico for his last bout, it would’ve sold-out Azteca Stadium and easily cracked 1.5 million PPVs. THAT is Marquez’s drawing power. when was the first time Manny* sold-out a 100,000-seat venue? my resentment of Pacquiao* only quadrupled in response to his panicked overreaction to Mayweather’s request for stricter, Harmless, and MUTUALLY-Applicable testing. in fact, that’s not “bias”, it’s the locial response of any true fight-fan to Pacquiao* manipulating the media and popular support to bend and corrupt the sport to favor his personal fortunes. my “bias” did subside at the sight of Pacquiao’s* lying face-down and butts-up on the ring canvas but it’s immediately revived by the hysterical, repulsive, and continued nuthugging by his dwindling fanbase and assorted shills who (like Yourself) remain utterly powerless to refute a Single Item on my list of “biases”. in fact, targeting the messenger remains your only response, which is nothing less than a grudging concession to the Documented Boxing FactS.

my priority is a fair and level field of battle. if neither fighter wants to test, fine with Me. however, if one fighter does prefer stricter testing, as long as its fairly and mutually applied, THERE IS NO CREDIBLE EXCUSE TO REJECT IT. None Whatsoever and Pacquiao* is the ONLY FIGHTER TO EVER REJECT HARMLESS AND MUTUALLY-APPLIED TESTING, Period. even haggling over micro-conditions is a huge red-flag. am I convinced that Pacquiao* is illegally enhancing? No. do I believe he’s a nutless promotional puppet who lacks the integrity to resist Arum’s unscrupulous promotional scheming and vindictive greed? Absolutely. along the way they’ve intentionally blown-off and disrespected one of the greatest fighters in Boxing history in an attempt to discourage his pursuit of Pacquiao*. Marquez’s response? authentic humility, dedication, and fierce unrelenting determination to redeem his boxing legacy with the “desired result” aka the #1 KO in Boxing History, which serves as a rivalry-bookend to the #1 Choke in Boxing History, which makes Pacquiao* among the most overrated and overhyped fighters in boxing history. i suggest that the time to vacate Pacquiao’s rectum is Now. otherwise, his fanboys might have to endure yet another jolt from the tip of Rios’ boot.

And I repeat:

NO, actually what I’m saying is that they might as well quit testing at this time — until they can improve the testing methods — because there’s just no way to stop all the cheating. There are too many PEDs that simply can’t be detected or can be masked. Pac vs. Mayweather is a completely separate issue and different discussion…

Squared, you make good points for Marquez’s possible use of PEDs. I’m quite sure you made just as good of points for Manny not using PEDs and it being ok for him not to take random testing in the past…. It all depends on your opinion at that point in time. Which is why boxing needs to do more than it’s done concerning PEDs. Which is all I’ve ever wanted to see.

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

te tumbo: Everybody knows that you’ve been the biggest PacMan hater and biggest JMM supporter on ESB for years. And everyone also knows that I’ve always been a big fan of both fighters, so my opinions and final judgement on this matter are much more objective than yours. Any athlete who’s associated with Heredia and shows rapid & radical physical transformations is guilty in my book. Heredia is the Don Mecca of PED masters. Bottom line. And JMM transformed his body over the course of about 6 months, NOT 2 years.

“Meanwhile, everything you’ve shared is an endorsement of stricter anti-doping tests among ALL fighters. thus far, ONLY Manny* has ever refused on an individual basis.” NO, actually what I’m saying is that they might as well quit testing at this time — until they can improve the testing methods — because there’s just no way to stop all the cheating. There are too many PEDs that simply can’t be detected or can be masked. The issue with Pac and Mayweather is a completely different issue and we’ve already talked about that.

No offense, but you’re NOT capable of being objective when it comes to Pac and JMM. And it sort of sounds like you’re saying that I’m not a “real fight fan” because I’m also a fan of PacMan. Hope you weren’t directing those comments at me because you know better. You can make it sound like JMM won the series because he scored a perfectly lucky KO shot in the 4th fight, and keep repeating that song for eternity.

But in reality, Pac was outboxing JMM again before he got caught. The scoreboard for this legendary series reads as follows:
Pac – 2 Wins
JMM – 1 Win
1 Draw

JMM was offered a 5th fight a few months ago and he said that he’ll never fight PacMan again. That basically means his decision is really NOT about money and percentages at all. His decision to refuse Pac a 5th fight is about wanting to go out with a W and not another L.

I would think that JMM and his most loyal fans would really want to see him even-up the score before retirement. I know that I definitely want to see if JMM can stop Pac again. So I’m extremely disappointed that he’s not showing the Mexican Warrior spirit by refusing a 5th fight. I’d much rather see JMM prove that he can stop Pac again, or go out on his shield in the tradition of Warriors like Morales, than take other fights instead.

te tumbo, thanks. Where were all these clowns two years ago? I’ll tell you where they were. They were defending Pacquiao’s right not to agree to random testing, and telling us all that there was no need for PED testing in boxing. They were saying the boxing commissions testing is the way to go, and no should try and buck or fix that system. Today we have some of these clowns stating that if they see a red flag, then PED’s it is. What the heck is really going on here? I’m not saying Marquez is clean or Pacquiao is dirty, but a pactard’s logic has no boundaries, and that fact has played out here on ESB, without doubt.

Btw, Marquez refused to concede negotiating parity to the fighter he thoroughly DEMOLISHED and defeated in their last fight. no different than Manny’s* posture following controversial “wins” if not robberies. i have no idea what the stubborn insistence on a double-standard that requires Marquez to continue deferring to Pacquiao’s* artificial stature is about(?) other than Pacquiao*-worship. Marquez agreed to $3 million to Pacquiao’s* $30 million and conceded every other condition to make the fourth fight happen. IF Pacquiao* reeeeally wants a 5th match, it Must FInally be on Marquez’s terms. Marquez Must determine purse-split and location or he’s not interested. yet another example of Marquez placing his professional pride and integrity over profits. otherwise, the enduring image of Pacquiao’s* legacy will be of his prostrate body lying facedown on the canvas while Marquez lumbered to the opposite ring-post to soak in the adulation of real fight-fans who always believed that Pacquiao* was inferior to Marquez. real fight-fans who prefer to focus on Pacquiao’s* lack of a simple jab, effective footwork, and a tighter defense. when you combine those tangible factors with Marquez’s dedication to training and fierce determination to redeem his bogus scorecard losses, the “desired result” was predictable. at least for real fight-fans.

SQUARED CIRCLE, Heredia’s credentials also mean that he knows how NOT to compromise a fighter’s integrity. it swings both ways. it doesN’T mean that he ONLY knows how to cheat. besides, a consummate pro like Marquez isn’t going to pay somebody to risk compromising his entire ring-legacy. i have no reason whatsoever to suspect or impugn Marquez’s integrity. in fact, KOing Manny* was overdue going back to their featherweight matchup. meanwhile, everything you’ve shared is an endorsement of stricter anti-doping tests among ALL fighters. thus far, ONLY Manny* has ever refused on an individual basis. “it’s virtually impossible for a life long 39-year-old athlete to transform his physique that dramatically in such a short period of time”. two years of state-of-the-art training with Beristain and a highly-qualified trainer and nutritionist is NOT a short period of time. i also have a lot of on and off experience with weight-lifting. during one of my “comebacks” at age 32, I went from a 235lbs bench-press max to 325lbs in just three short months of three workouts per week and i wasn’t even aiming for strength or mass, just reps of 15 and definition. i also did this with nothing more than the motivation of a workout partner who specialized in low-tech lifting. absolutely nothing fancier than my Olympic bar and wheels, pullies, and a dip-bar. I will concede that I’ve never been a fan of Pacquiao’s* saintly posturing, Roach’s busy c**ksucker, or Arum’s promotional scheming. In any case, the FACT remains that Marquez tested clean (aLong with Pacquiao*), which means he was no cleaner or dirtier than Manny*. until you express disgust with neither fighter being subjected to stricter testing (particularly the flyweight who is now outpunching Big and lifelong welters?!), i have to question the objectivity of your argument. quite frankly, it’s one-sided and completely absolves the ONLY fighter whose repeatedly rejected stricter testing while condemning the fighter whose repeatedly welcomed it. makes no sense at all(?).

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

te tumbo: After finding out that the notorious Heredia was/is JMM’s strength and conditioning coach, there’s nothing anyone can ever say that will convince me that JMM wasn’t super doped-up before and during the fourth fight with PacMan.

Heredia’s father is a chemist and scientist who owns laboratories in Mexico City. Angel acts as the business man, handling the procurement, networking and distribution of some of the highest-grade designer PEDs in the world. Facts. Angel has admitted to dealing ultra-expensive high-grade PEDs to about two dozen world-class athletes. Both pros and olympians. Angel stated in an interview that they’ve developed 20 powerful, miracle PEDs that cannot be detected by current testing processes. Wow, just wow!

I have about 25 years of experience with all different types of power lifting, weight & strength training, nutrition, dietary supplements, and am now 37-years-old. I know for a fact that it’s virtually impossible for a life long 39-year-old athlete to transform his physique that dramatically in such a short period of time — without PEDs.

I was shocked when I saw JMM’s new physique during the fight, and his relationship with Heredia only confirms what I already believed. We’re talking about a guy who constantly drank his own piss after workouts thinking it would help him gain a little edge. You people really don’t think he’d be willing to do PEDs in order to finally beat his career nemesis??? Come on, now. Get real!

If PacMan would’ve come into the fourth fight with a newly swoll and ripped upper-body and KTFO of JMM, I would’ve suspected PED use. And if I later found out that Pac was in bed with Heredia, I’d be 100% certain of his PED use. I’ve always been a big fan of both fighters, so am being totally honest and objective with my judgment regarding this situation.
A few months back, JMM refused to give PacMan a 5th fight and now I totally understand why. Real talk.

I’ll just repeat what all you chumps were saying a couple of years ago. The boxing commission tests are good enough, so we don’t need random testing. Besides PEDS can’t help ones punching power or the ability to take a punch… So when we start to throw Marquez under the PED bus let us remember our words from a couple of years ago… Besides Manny conditioning coach assured us all that PEDs weren’t a problem cause people are getting caught. And just like Ariza considered the thought of Manny being on PEDs was a compliment, Marquez should use the same strategy while flipping you all off on his way to the Hall of Fame!!!

Posted August 29, 2013 8:38 pm

In case there’s any doubt about this Heredia character, the LA Times reported this: “Angel ‘Memo’ Heredia, who has helped prepare Marquez to fight Manny Pacquiao, has been linked to performance-enhancing substances… U.S. Anti-Doping Agency issued a lifetime suspension of Jamaican track coach Raymond Stewart because his athletes used performance-enhancing drugs obtained by Heredia. In his report, the arbitrator described Heredia as “an admitted drug dealer” who previously “identified two dozen elite athletes to whom he has provided performance-enhancing drugs.” The report noted Heredia’s father owned and operated a Mexico City drug laboratory.”

Posted August 29, 2013 8:26 pm

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

“Along with the strange weigh-in I noted Marquez’s strength and conditioning coach: Angel Heredia, a known PED distributor who juiced up the Jamaican track team.” If JMM’s strength & conditioning coach was/is Heredia, that’s a HUGE RED FLAG!

Heredia is one of the most infamous former PED dealers to pro and Olympic athletes in history. Heredia knows more about PEDs and how to mask and pass drug tests than anyone else in the entire world.

Here are some VERY REVEALING quotes from an interview Heredia gave a few years back:

Spiegel: “Do you have any other secrets?”

Heredia: “Oh yes, of course. There are tablets for the kidneys that block the metabolites of steroids, so when athletes give a urine sample, they don’t excrete the metabolites and thus test negative. Or there is an enzyme that slowly consumes proteins – epo has protein structures, and the enzyme thus ensures that the B sample of the doping test has a completely different value than the A sample. Then there are chemicals that you take a couple of hours before the race that prevent acidification in the muscles. Together with epo they are an absolute miracle. I’ve created 20 different drugs that are still undetectable for the doping testers.”

Spiegel: “Undetectable for testers?”

Heredia: “Undetectable. We’ve used ointments that do not leave any traces and that enable a consistently high testosterone level in athletes.”

Spiegel: “Is there doping at every level of athletics?”

Heredia: “Yes, the only difference is the quality of the doping. Athletes with little money use simple steroids and hope they don’t get tested. The stars earn 50,000 dollars a month, not including starting bonuses and sponsorship contracts. The very best invest 100,000 dollars – I’ll then build you a designer drug that can’t be detected.”

Spiegel: “Explain how this works.”

Heredia: “Designer drugs are composed of several different chemicals that trigger the desired reaction. At the end of the chain, I change one or two molecules in such a way that the entire structure is undetectable for the doping testers.”

Spiegel: “Are there still any clean sports?”

Heredia: “Track and field, swimming, cross-country skiing and cycling can no longer be saved. Golf? Not clean either. Soccer? Soccer players come to me and say they have to be able to run up and down the touchline without becoming tired, and they have to play every three days. Baseball? Haha! Steroids in pre-season, amphetamines during the games. Even archers take downers so that their arm remains steady. Everyone dopes!”

Spiegel: “Did you produce the drugs yourself, or did you simply procure them?”

Heredia: “I didn’t have my own laboratory, I had… let’s say access to labs in Mexico City. I purchased and procured the raw materials.”

Spiegel: “From where?”

Heredia: “Everywhere. Australia, South Africa, Austria, Bulgaria, China. I got growth hormone from the Swiss company Serono. It was never difficult to import it into Mexico, because the laws aren’t that strict. You can easily buy it in pharmacies in Mexico. Whenever a new drug was entering the test phase somewhere in the world, we knew about it and we ordered it. Then I combined substances. Sometimes I produced a gel.”

Spiegel: “Did you ever take the doping testers seriously?”

Heredia: “No, we laughed at them.”

SIMPLY AMAZING! Now we know how smart athletes like Lance Armstrong doped for years and never failed a test. Thanks Te Tumbo! You just convinced me that JMM was totally doped up during his 4th fight with PacMan. He was in bed with Heredia and that says it all! Case closed.

Turbo-Hamster, Bradley Wiggins was a track cyclist before emerging as a road cyclist. The only difference in his physique back then was weighing more. Wiggins will be heavier and less gaunt, but he won’t look much different otherwise. And yes I believe Wiggins is clean along with Froome, who got tested 20 out of 21 days at this year’s Tour de France. In fact cycling went from being the world’s most juiced up sport to the cleanest via frequent testing in and out of competition. Boxing needs to do the same but nobody wants to foot the bill.

Te Tumbo you can believe what you want but my days of giving athletes the benefit of the doubt amid red flags is gone. Thank Lance Armstrong for that, it’s a new world. Along with the strange weigh-in I noted Marquez’s strength and conditioning coach: Angel Heredia, a known PED distributor who juiced up the Jamaican track team. Heredia’s family also owned a Mexico City drug lab. So that history along with Marquez’s bizarre physical transformation at age 39 are red flags.

Posted August 29, 2013 6:02 pm

@Squared circle – watch what will happen to Bradley Wiggins body over the course of the next year.

He is a cyclist who won the Tour De France last year, but is going back to the track for the next OLypmics and competing in worlds road later this year.

When he changes from distance to power events he is going to slap on 6-10 Kg of good lean muscle through diet, training and the most science focused cycling team there is at the moment.
The team is also right under the spotlight for drug testing since a lot of people would absolutely love to see one of them fail a test.

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

I’m not accusing JMM of taking PEDs, but it is amazing how swoll and ripped his upper body (e.g., shoulders, traps, neck, etc) looks in that photo compared to their 3rd fight and JMM’s next fight with Fedchenko.

And I must add that it is very unusual to see a life-long athlete transform his body that quickly at 39-years-old. If JMM transformed his body naturally, I’d really like hear him discuss the details of exactly how he did it in such a short period of time. He’s definitely suspect, but I’m not making PED accusations here.

I have no problem with Marquez physique thats possible at his age with a disciplined diet and training. My problem is it’s a physiological fact that your either born with punching power or your not same as a great throwing arm. Sure at a prime age with training you can gain an extra mph or 2 on your fastball but what Marquez did was at the age of 40 was go from a decent 91 mph fastball to a 96 mph fastball. On top of that the guy was receiving a savage beating from Pac by far the worst yet and just shook his head no that doesn’t hurt on a couple of vicious shots landed by Pac. Marquez has tarnished his once great legacy.

Posted August 29, 2013 3:08 pm

Marquez HAD to ko Pac……no way he gets decision regardless how well he fought…..just like three previous fights…when he landed more punches they said Pac landed the harder ones….when he landed the harder punches they said Pac landed more…how can you win ??? against Top Rank unless it’s by ko…it’s a risk Marquez took and it paid off because he wasn’t gonna win a decision…..besides Pac may be the only wwt he beats

Posted August 29, 2013 2:52 pm

Fact is there is so many times someones chin can be hit before it finally breaks. In every Pac vs Marquez fight it wasn’t hard for Marquez to find Pacs chin. He shook him a couple of times. Now with Pac coming in and Marquez throwing a perfect counter punch, well Pacs chin finally cracked and shattered. That is what happened. Until other wise proven. If you still think Marquez is a cheat then you obviously think Pac is a cheat also.

“When he got on that scale it was LOL. In this era of PEDs a sudden change in body type is a serious red flag” i was the only one who raised eyebrows at Marquez’s muscular physique before III. everyone else was confidently claiming that “it’s only muscle”, “it will slow him down”, “he’s still too old, and slow, and ringworn” (lol). Marquez didn’t get faster, younger, or fresher to KTFO of Pacquiao*. he simply adapted his fight-plan to foil Arum-approved scorecards. what’s everyone so mystified (crushed?) about?

AFICIONADO, that Marquez gained muscle instead of fat to barely crack 142lbs isn’t particularly suspect to me. in fact, it’s predictable when you combine a state-of-the-art training regimen with Marquez’s renowned dedication to training Aaand his fierce determination to redeem the previous scorecard robberies v. Pacquiao*. BOTTOMLINE, all has done is KTFO of a fellow pumped-up featherweight precisely like he publicly declared he prepared to do. he also publicly challenged Pacquiao* to stricter testing, which Pacquiao* declined. consequently, the worst Pacquiao’s* butt-hurt fanboys can claim is that Marquez is no cleaner or dirtier than their beloved Pacquiao*. after all, when Pacquiao* refused to MUTUALLY-Applied testing v. Mayweather, they repeatedly declared that “we aren’t going to rewrite the rules of boxing to satisfy an individual boxer” while deferring to their precious commissions (lol). they’re now like desperate addicts conjuring up excuses why they don’t really need to quit puffing on Pacquiao’s* pipe. they need to Get Over It. Pacquiao* purposely avoided his primary P4P rivals for as long as he could and was STILL KTFO by a 39-year-old opponent who HE should’ve figured out by now. just like Marquez obviously figured him out First.

In this era of PEDs a sudden change in body type is a serious red flag.

Although Marquez is now a wwt. his reach is still the same as when he was at 126…..his only undisputed loss was against FMJ…Floyd was simply too big and long for Marquez….i’ve stated before that JM is not a wwt. and not a threat to the bigger wwts in the division……he is however an ATG and his legacy already imprinted in boxing history….if he should win against Bradley, who is not a hard puncher, it will add to his greatness, but not make him a true wwt. in structure, only weight wise.
he’s simply too small for today’s wwts. only his skill, discipline and determination have kept him in the game

Manny is NOWHERE near finished, not even close, Marquez was no more than a few minutes from being stopped, he was getting beaten up, Mannys huge over eagerness to finish cost him, but at the same time credit to Marquez for finding that shot. There is no evidence to suggest that Manny is finished, and is still the only boxer who can give Mayweather something to think about. The fight still sells and sells big… telling me you wouldnt Pay, No …..I didnt think so.

Team Punkuiao* knew that they couldn’t possibly compete v. Floyd and came up with every excuse imaginable (none of which are being repeated today) to avoid the merciless beatdown theyu would’ve received v. Mayweather. Pacquiao* is a ducker and promotional fraud and it’s in the books. Pacquiao* will forever be considered less than Marquez and Mayweather. his stature would dip even lower if he ever actually agrees to face Mayweather. if he couldn’t count on Marquez aging adequately to be convincingly defeated, he won’t be able to count on a younger Mayweather to do so. besides, Pacquiao* is looking increasingly shabby and ringworn himself . . . At first he wanted cutoff dates then finally agreed to no cutoff dates but he never said i will not take the test. Pacquiao* shouldn’t expect more favorable conditions v. a 40-year-old Marquez. sustained prime or not, it’s finally Marquez’s turn to steer and if Pacquiao* doesn’t agree with the destination, he can hop out and sit his ass on the curb and wait for Mayweather to kidnap him for a severe and merciless beatdown at a full-fledged 147lbs but pok-pok-pok-POKquiao* doesn’t Reeeeally want that bout either. he’s a ducker and promotional fraud whose NEVER agreed to equal conditions to fight his primary P4P rivals.

bottomline, we aren’t going to rewrite the rules of Boxing to suit Manny’s* hysterical, butt-hurt, boxing-ignorant fanboys. the commissions will decide what testing protocol should prevail for each fight. if Manny* disapproves, he can take them to court and end his career in a courtroom not a boxing ring, which is where Marquez settles all of his boxing-related differences. Btw, there is an Azteca Stadium in Mexico City just waiting for Manny* to accept Marquez’s offer of a fifth and final fight in Mexico. tax break included. Pacquiao* will be able to keep almost all of his $3 to $5 million purse. Marquez accepted less to face Pacquiao* a third and 4th time. Wtf is Manny* (and his butt-hurt fanboys) so afraid of Now?

there is literally no reason whatsoever to even remotely suspect Marquez of illegally enhancing. after all, all he did was KTFO of a fellow pumped-up featherweight using a right-hand he was missing and landing the entire fight. ultimately, what “DINAMITA” did was transform himself into a Pacquiao*-sinking torpedo, which wasn’t particularly difficult considering his vast experience, established punching prowess, and legendary boxing skills. the most difficult part of this process was swallowing his pride and disgust for “official scorecards” and transform his otherwise patient and potent boxing-counterpunching profile into that of a KO-seeking powerpuncher, which is precisely what Marquez publicly declared his focus would be going into IV. in fact, Pacquiao* declared he same and his hysterical fanboys endorsed his fight-plan. at least those who weren’t vehemently opposed to granting Marquez another bout. now the same hysterical fanboys who vehemently defended Pacquiao’s* right to reject stricter testing are just as desperately demanding that Marquez be subjected to stricter testing (lol). How sweet it is. anyway, despite being the victim of the #1 KO in Boxing History crafted by Marquez, Pacquiao* is STILL(?!?) trying to dictate purse-split and location for a final(?) fifth bout v. Marquez, i.e., Manny* doesn’t Reeeeally want another bout v. Marquez, which isn’t surprising. if Pacquiao’s* hysterical fanboys can’t erase the image of a seemingly lifeless Manny* lying face-first in the canvas with the “Get Crackin” logo prominently displayed on his trunks, we can only imagine the nightmares that Pacquiao* has experienced after replaying the same defeat. the rivalry is OVER. Marquez is Greater. Viva Marquez!

Until someone fails a test or avoids a test then everyone should just zip about PEDS. Every human body is different and responds to different training methods foods, sleep deprivation and a whole host of other stuff in life. Yes Manny was ahead and winning but he didnt win. Same as if Usain Bolt had a 10m gap with 20m to go and tripped on his laces. If is no good to Manny or his deluded, excuse making followers. Marquez was due a W and he got it. A 5th fight would be good but until and if it happens we will never know the outcome. Marquez at 40 being one of the best in the world is very commendable. Until you train day in day out routine routine routine you will never know how hard these guys work and the mental and physical strength the possess. Peeps ned to stop throwing mud without concrete proof.

Oh please give me a break with these weak attempts to rationalize how Marquez became a GGG/Mattysse type puncher. And since Pac has much more punching power than Marquez if he was juicing i do think he would’ve had more 1 punch k.os than Hatton. Perfect punch gtfoh what about the 3rd round haymaker that sent Pac to the moon. Pac still only has 1 clear loss on U.S soil to Morales. Really all of a sudden Marquez could go toe to toe with Pac as the bigger banger dudes should be embarrassed to try to make that argument.

That said, the accusations against people who have failed no test but have simply moved up a weight and carried their power, or even increased it slightly are Bierber-monged.

People talk about PEDS like it is Popeye eating Spinach then becoming superhuman, and then ascribe any unexpected (to them) result to them.

The reality is far more complicated, and the reasons one punch might put a guy in lala land and another not are as varied as the biological systems the punch might interfere with.

If people want to scream about JMM and PEDS then why not Torrecampo? Just substitue the *’s for w’S h*t*t*p://w*w*

JMM and Manny are to me the best guys in boxing, maybe not as good as Floyd but top fighters who really go out there and fight, Manny was beating JMM but got caught with a perfect counter, is this not what boxing is about? I for one would love to see these guys fight again with the winner fighting Floyd but at the same weight as each other not a whole weight class apart as in the JMM vs FMJ fight which to me is as bad as taking PED’s to not even bother trying to make the weight.

Marquez was written off two or three years ago on these very boards. When it was rumoured that Khan v Marquez might be an option JMM was dubbed old and past prime and Khan was viewed by many to be picking on the smaller, older man. I said at the time JMM is more than capable of beating pretty much anyone out there. In my mind he is very much top 5 P4P material.

Marquez should be the last person in boxing to get a pass. He lied about knowing anything about Hereida then changed his mind a week later when reporters brought out Hereida supplying Peds to Olympic athletes. Marquez and Nacho both looked stupid saying they only knew he was a strength trainer. He trained in Mexico and was never tested once before the Pacquao fight. Marquez today doesn’t want to do both VADA and USADA testing for the Bradley fight. I personally watched Marquez train live, and his body totally changed, and he is a small guy physique wise. He fought in Mexico before he fought Pacquiao in their 4th fight and looked old, slow, no power and every bit of a shop warn fighter. Now he looks like superman? He also stalled long enough for the Bradley fight so his cycling wouldn’t be found? He then wants Bradley to weigh no more then 10 pounds over the welterweight limit, and then and only then willl he do both testings? Come on people, this guy is a big con artist getting better and stronger at 40 then when he was 25? Too bad the corrupt commissions, promoters, managers, trainers, Mayors, city councils and fighters will continue because of the money there is to be made. Mosely, Vargas, Berto, Jones, Toney all failed because they didn’t have Angel Hereidain their camp. The guy has admitted he could mask anything, and when the NSAC tells you what they test for months out, how difficult will it be for Hereida to mask the Peds? All states should test for everything. I was a Marquez fan years ago, but then I saw the changes, the lies, the excuses, and I lost all respect for the guy. He then runs away from a 5th fight with Manny. It’simple if you have common sense. If it looks like a snake, walks like a snake and act like a snake, it’s a snake.

Largo that is a pretty going point using Roy as an example. But the difference I believe is Pac didn’t have to ruin his body to lose a bunch of muscle. Roy should of stayed at heavy and fought Tyson, Holyfoeld and then ended with Lewis. He could if beat those versions of Tyson and Holyfield. Lennox would if beat him though

Marquez is a living legend & he’s probably second only to Chavez-as Mexican ATG-but he missed the unique opportunity to retire after HE put Pac to sleep…The same happened to Roy after he beat the Puerto Rican HW. Things are going downhill from here on out; he got Pac’s# but little Tim will beat his behind & I’m tempted to say that he might stop him, believe it or not…funny how great fighters never retire at the RIGHT moment.

and since the announcement of the 4th fight, i knew it was a bad move for Bob Arum and team pac. They underestimate JMM’s power cause they always see him as OLD, WASHOUT, AND TOO SMALL for pac.

and for a 5th fight? i really do hope it will never happen. still a bad match up for pac, (given that he was matched for fighters that are not too slick, and technically sound, but i’m still a fan, the Man can fight and sure entertains you know)

“Hidalgo – He won’t fight with Floyd again, Marquez is smart, he tried once and FAILED….he has simply accepted the fact that Floyd is just, BETTER than he is.”

Titopa, it took Marquez four tries to beat Manny Pacquiao. Every time Marquez fought Pacquiao he did better against him until he finally knocked him out. Now, Marquez is more accustomed to fighting at welterweight. He’s stronger, probably quicker, and has more experience. Marquez is leaps and bounds better than Robert Guerrero, yet he faired no better against Mayweather than Guerrero did. That would change in a second fight. Marquez learns from his mistakes. Marquez’s first fight with Mayweather was embarrassing. A second fight would give him a chance to redeem himself.

Fight Aficionado

I think Marquez is already old and will start to erode next year. He’s always been a great counterpuncher who relies on timing. Once his timing is off by even 5% it’s a steep downwards slope. So he should take the biggest and highest paying fights now before the erosion begins.

PEDs vs. PEDs Pacqioua vs. Marquez IV it would go either way but it looks like Marquez is waaay better than Pacqiuoa.

Posted August 28, 2013 8:01 pm

Pacquiao tried too hard to get Marquez out of there, played right into Marquez skills, Pacquiao would of won the fight, but he went for it and got caught by a perfect punch, pacquiao could of played safe, but didn’t, well done Pacquiao for making the fight.

Posted August 28, 2013 6:51 pm

Dino – Exactly! Marquez actually landed that EXACT same punch moments after Pacquiao scored that knockdown of Marquez, except Marquez threw it while he was slightly off balance so it didn’t have as much of an affect on Pac, but the second one? Well, we all saw how it was beautifully timed and delivered.

Posted August 28, 2013 6:45 pm

That’s Titopa, sorry brother.

Posted August 28, 2013 6:44 pm

Titopia…….that’s what I’m talking about brother, Pac has been KOed before, if you watch the end of the 6th round of that fight, JMM timed it, he knew that if he landed that counter overhand bomb it was not going to be good for Pac. It was a great win for him, this is why he kept trying for years to get back in the ring with the Pacman, he knew he could beat him, he figured out Pacs dart in and out style and exposed his weakness.

Posted August 28, 2013 6:41 pm

PEEJ – Yeah, accusing Pacquiao of cheating is prerequisite for accusing other fighters of cheating. He’s been accused for how many years now? 2 or 3? How many times has he proven them wrong by taking the tests? oh yeah, ZERO!!

Posted August 28, 2013 6:39 pm

If you think Marquez is a cheater then you also think Pac is a cheater

Posted August 28, 2013 6:37 pm

Boricua Bomber

2014 – 147 # vs Cotto. 2015 – 147# vs Matthysse. If he stay long enough I see him surprising people in higher weights like Roberto Durand.

Posted August 28, 2013 6:21 pm

Dino – Exactly! They act as though Marquez did something impossible, ANY man on earth can be knocked out if he’s hit on the money…especially if he’s hit by a seasoned professional like Marquez, a man who’s dedicated more than half of his life to throwing punches, I don’t get it, where were these accusers when Pacquiao was dropping Cotto with a 2 inch right hook? or when he mauled Hatton? or when he broke Margarito’s face? I mean! c’mon!

Posted August 28, 2013 6:19 pm

If you land a punch right on the whiskers with the force of a pro boxer, one that has been in the game for years like JMM, something is bound to happen. Look at Hatton, look at RJJr, this is nothing new. JMM is no taxi cab driver, this guy knows how to win. He has been trying to land that punch everytime they faught, this time all the stars were lined up, he fired it. Nap time, it happens.

Brazilian Boxing Fan

Tomorrow is Timothy Bradley´s 30th birthday. I hope Juan Manuel Marquez beats him on October 12, 2013.

Posted August 28, 2013 6:10 pm

we will see how bad that KO has effected him when he fights Bam Bam, to me it looked like a devastating career ending KO,you know, one that retires a fighter.

Posted August 28, 2013 6:03 pm

They had drug test and nothing showed up. He fired off the right hand and it landed right on target. Good lord, first Pac is on PEDS, he (Pac) gets put to sleep now Marquez is on PEDS, it does not stop. There is a lot of legal stuff you can use too, along whith weight training and good protein diet. He timed that punch and landed it, enough said.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:58 pm

Titopa I try to be objective, I see your point, innocent until proven guilty and also I can see where other people get frustrated because if the top guys are using enhancers then they are able to keep one step ahead of the authority’s, untouchable.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:54 pm

Common Sense – It’s called hard work, you’d be surprised at what hard work can do to your body, I myself have transformed from a 120lb string bean into a 145lb lean/muscular guy….ALL with simply a great diet and hard work! He’s a professional athlete, he trains day and night. and you’re WRONG about his punches having no impact, what about the 2nd fight? When he wobbled Pacquiao with a left hand? What about in the first fight when he had the back of Pacquiao’s head touching the back of his ass? C’mon!!! He’s ALWAYS given Pacquiao HELL in that ring, ALWAYS!!!

Posted August 28, 2013 5:51 pm

KOrnerman – It’s just not right man, that’s all, I was NEVER one to accuse someone of something without proof…. PEDs Hater & HecDog act as though they know for sure, and that ain’t right, they call themselves “boxing fans”, yeah…RIGHT!

Posted August 28, 2013 5:48 pm

Common Sense

Folks, look at Marquez’s exposed shoulder on the picture again. How could a naturally soft, 40-year-old Mexican suddenly turned into a HULK in 5 months? ONLY Steroids could do that. And the only man that knew how to do to avoid detected of Steroids is Angel Heredia, so Marquez chose him as the Steroids Strength conditioning coach.

If you watched the first three fights again, Marquez’s power had NO impact whatsoever with PAC.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:48 pm

Ive always though pac was at it, he,s been KO’d at lighter weights but was eating bombs with ease from Cotto, Cheato etc…its a big can of worms I dont really like.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:47 pm

Titopa they both are probably at it but I will hold judgement until they’re officially found out,if ever, until then I will watch them pound on people hehe.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:45 pm

PEDs Hater – Cool, well don’t forget to add Pacquiao to your lists of PED users….he’s been in question for YEARS!!! Yet, hasn’t done a DAMN THING to change people’s view. If anyone’s a cheat, it’s him.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:44 pm

PEDs Hater

@HecDog, Thank you for seeing the through the Steroids curtains.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:42 pm

He can take one hell of a shot too never been KO’d,and when down get back up always, Id love to see him vs Broner the most.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:41 pm

Hecdog – In that case…so is Pacquiao, isn’t he the one who was “scared of needles”? Isn’t he the one who ducked tests? isn’t he the one that’s been accused for over 2 years and hasn’t done a DAMN THING to prove he’s not on roids? Um. Yes! Shut up!

Posted August 28, 2013 5:40 pm

KOrnerman – True! I cringe at the thought of a fight with either Garcia OR Matthysse LOL and for good reason…they’re BIG 140lb guys. But Marquez is one of a kind…so, if anyone can beat them, HE can.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:39 pm

he does look rather beefed of late.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:37 pm

Oh Girl

PAC gave Marquez THREE attempts and ALL FAILED, except the 4th fight whereas Marquez finally cheated with STEROIDS usage against PAC. Marquez knew that even with foot stopper tactic wouldn’t beat PAC, so the only way to beat PAC is by STEROIDS USAGE, and Marquez had found that only way. Too bad that the whole world knew Marquez was on PEDs.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:37 pm

yes sir an el Chino fight to see who fights Broner, there’s loads of great fights for him, aint he still the wbo lww champ? he could fight the winner of Garcia/Mattyesse, another great fight

Posted August 28, 2013 5:35 pm

PedHater. my thoughts exactly. Marquez is a cheater!

Posted August 28, 2013 5:35 pm

KOrnerman – I like the Khan/Alexander idea, I (sounds crazy) also wouldn’t mind seeing him take on Maidana, after all, as strong as Maidana is, he’s easy to hit and we all saw what a one-eyed Morales was able to do against him, as well as the undersized Josesito….Marquez CAN do better!

Posted August 28, 2013 5:33 pm

PEDs Hater

When will Marquez stop boxing? As long as Marquez is not caught of being on PEDs, he will keep fighting. And as long as the USA, especially the Nevada State Athletic Commissions, allows the PEDs provider of the decade, Angel Heredia, involved in boxing. Bottom line: Marquez will STOP boxing whenever the USA Athletic Commissions re-enforces its illegal drug usage tougher than its current regulations.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:32 pm

Hidalgo – He won’t fight with Floyd again, Marquez is smart, he tried once and FAILED….he has simply accepted the fact that Floyd is just, BETTER than he is.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:31 pm

I think another Money whuppin would retire him he should look for a figbt against Broner or the Khan/Alexander fight or both?

Posted August 28, 2013 5:30 pm

I’m with PEEJ, if he beats Bradley, I can see him sticking around until the end of next year….he’s already one (if not thee) of the greatest Mexican fighters to ever lace up a pair of gloves.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:30 pm

Beat Bradley. Rematch with Mayweather. Fight smart second time around.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:24 pm

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

Retired living the HIGH life in Mexico. JMM released a public statement to the media about a week ago saying that he will NOT give PacMan a 5th fight.

Keep in mind that JMM was offered a 5th fight a few months back. But he’s older than PacMan and wants to go out with a W — not a 3rd Loss.

Posted August 28, 2013 5:17 pm

quit in 2O14

Posted August 28, 2013 4:53 pm

If he beats Bradley, I would retire as champ and go down as one of the Mexican GREATS, he’s 40 now, don’t get greedy my friend, lots of young lions out there.

Posted August 28, 2013 4:49 pm

Retired by the end of 2014
