hit and slip

Really the Soviet army during ww2 was known as the red army the Soviet army was called that after ww2 in 1946 they changed the name from red army to Soviet army.

Right TJ. You too K2 but Hitler wanted Belorussia and Ukraine as well. The “Russian part of the Soviet Union was considered by the West as the master of the country though and the media pretty much often times bundled it into a ball and called it Russia and”Russians”. Probably it was a holdover from
the Czarist era and the name was more readable and understood by the public. Plus non of these republics were free to secede from the USSR anymore than Florida could from the USA. It’s no big deal and I’ve never heard of anyone complaining about what you’ve been getting at here. OK… “Ukrainian front” Soviet Front”…NUFF SAID.

Posted July 9, 2013 3:15 am

Exactly!!!! I forgot to add that point that SCHMELING was NO Nazi, just a victim of its propoganda machine….

He must have felt as uncomfortable as everyone else involved in that showdown.

That is part of your problem . You get your information from movies and books written largely to confuse the scantily informed general public , that ” russia ” and the soviet union are synonymous . They are NOT ! As a matter of fact ,
the advancing german armies , were greeted by ALL the NON russian soviet
” republics ” as liberators , who saw the german invasion as a chance to get from under the communist russian slavery . It is only the monumental
stupidity of the german high command , by mistreating and alienating those non russian nations trying to rid themselves of the russians , that finally
turned the tide on the EASTERN front . The description ” Russian Front ” in reference to the entire front is incorrect , since it only refers to the portion
of the front actualy fought in russia , there were also Ukrainian fronts and
the Biyelorussian front . Read a few serious studies of the incredible blunders
commited by the german leadership , and you’ll see that it wasn’t the ” great
leadership ” and ” military genius ” of the ” great leader ” Joseph Stalin , or
the ” invincible russian ” soldier that “won ” on the EASTERN Front , it was the
idiotic treatment of would be allies and the absolute stupidity of the germans
that lost it !

Posted July 8, 2013 11:32 pm

Don’t underplay the role of the Soviets either. There were more casualties on the Eastern front than on all of the other theaters of the war combined. The Soviets were steadily increasing production of war materials as were the British. You look in a history book today and you will see that it is still referred to as the Russian front in many places also the Russo-Finnish War was never called the Soviet-Finnish war. The Germans were years away from creating the atomic bomb. The British and Norwegians sabotaged the heavy water plant and torpedoed a ship with heavy water. Hitler was more interested in the v-1 and v-2 than he was in the jet. He preferred revenge over defense. Germany lacked enough fuel for maintaining many jets. The USSR most likely would have gotten by with Stalin’s leadership, his evil was equal to Hitler’s. I doubt that the Germans would have had the numbers to win a war of attrition with the Soviets in with their vast territory. They were also kept busy with the RAF bombings which increased steadily and was devastating enough even without the Americans. But then again American aid was an important factor so I can’t say for sure which way it would go……ok? Sorry I called you a simpleton.

Bigfoot ; You may not know as much ” history ” as you think you do . Also ,
if you knew that the press referred to the soviets as ” russians ” , back then ,
and you knew that was wrong , why do you do the same thing NOW ? Isn’t
that just COMPOUNDING the error ? And you call me a simpleton ?
Of course the german victory , without the USA is debatable , just like any other event of the past , in retrospect is debatable , however my point is ;
that without the USA , supplying the necessary , vital ; arms , planes , ships ,
clothing , medical equipment , food , etc, . etc , the war would have lasted a lot longer and would have given the germans time to build their jet aircraft ,
rocket , program and the A- bomb ! And that , is NOT debatable ! What is also NOT debatable , that now you would be writing your feeble minded
posts in german , instead of English ! So get off your high horse , forget
the mighty ” empire ” , don’t overplay the role of the soviets , and kiss USA’s
ass for saving yours !

Thanks TJ, it’s unfortunate for Schmeling that he was no Nazi though but just a German. He didn’t hold Nazi or super race, anti-Semitic beliefs but unlucky enough to be a German by nationality. He shouldn’t have taken the rematch with all of the political overtones which made him the “bad guy” from Germany.

Posted July 8, 2013 4:21 pm

Guys, your various comments and threads over the last few weeks about the historical beginings and diasporas of Great Nations has been very interesting to read as I majored in British and European History….

I will not get into the argument here as I would need hours of time to debate with you guys, but I just wanted to say that there have been TWO excellent series on the TV recently documenting the birth of Modern day America….
Documents the like of VAN DER BILT, CARNEGIE, ROCKEFELLER , HENRY T FORD and MORGAN and became synonymous with the American Dream and made literally billions in transforming America with railways, steel, oil, production lines, banking – setting it on the way to becoming the biggest economic Super Power the world has ever seen.
Right now we have another series called AMERICA: THE STORY OF US
This documents how America gained its independence from Her Majesty in 1776, after the Pilgrim Fathers had landed there to form a new life for themselves and their religion, going on to conquer the Wild West and on to the Great Men, like Carnegie, Ford who left their indelible mark, all the way to Peral Harbour and the entrance to the Second World War and economic success and becoming a Super Power…

And Oh, yes… There was one section in the series which included boxing!!!!!
This was the famous rematch between MAX SCHMELING and JOE LOUIS…. Schmeling had famously beaten Joe a couple years earlier, but the rematch coincided with the rise of the Nazis, who wanted to use Max as an example of the dominance of the master race….
Whereas once we had the hunt for The Great White Hope, now we had the battle for World Supremacy: The Nazis way of life vs the rest of the World!!!
But, wouldn’t you know it? No one told The Brown Bomber this and he beat the beejeez out of him and that left egg all over ADOLF’S face and stupid little moustache.
Anyway, both series are definitely worth a look at if you like this sort of stuff!
Just thought you may like to know!?!

Posted July 8, 2013 3:47 pm

Also k2 the media at the time often referred to the Soviet forces as Russian. Material from the USA entered through Iran and Vladivostok also. An Anglo-Soviet victory was still possible but would have lasted much longer. I bet I know more about history than you too by the way…simpleton.

Posted July 8, 2013 2:20 pm

K2: Yes you are correct it was the Soviets and it is likely though arguable that the Germans would have beaten them without the material support of the USA.
Many historians refer incorrectly to the “Russians” rather than the “Soviets” they always have. The Germans winning is debatable though. They were defeated in the battle of Britain and Stalin was prepared to move the capital further east. What the Soviets provided in bodies I think eclipses American material. It’s all a “what if type of thing really.” Hitler’s original dream in the first place was to keep the peace with Britain and france and make Soviet Russia a German colony. The british might have stayed isolationist like the Americans and allow them to take over Poland without responding. How much in vain for the Americans who lost their lives during WWI.

Big Foot ; Better stick to opinions on boxing , because history and politics , are NOT your best subjects . This is a boxing site and I promised myself that
I would not get mixed up in a historical argument , BUT , when I see someone
say , that ; ” the Russians and the british would have defeated the germans and the Italians , I just couldn’t hold out . The Russians ? Really ? To begin
with ; the germans were not at war with ” Russia ” . They were at war with the Soviet Union . Which means that at least half of the ” Soviet ” Army was
NON- Russian ! The Russians always claim it was a ” Russian ” army , but it
was NOT ! It’s like saying that the british army was all ” English ” it was not !
Secondly what would they fight the germans with ? Have you any idea how much war material America supplied both to the Soviets AND the british ?
Without that vital support , not to mention the American manpower , there
is no way the ” Russians ” would have beaten the germans . England was running out of everything and America provided the life line . At the same time , the soviets were being supplied trough Murmansk .

Posted July 8, 2013 12:38 pm

The americans won the revolution with the help of France, Spain and the Dutch. Fighting all over the world and not just in North America. The French were there at Yorktown too by the way. Same for the War of 1812 when the British were fighting Napoleon at the same time. The war ended in a draw and not an American victory. The USA fought and defeated the Phillipines when they tried for their own independence. Canada did not want to become a part of the USA and fought along with the English to prevent it.

Posted July 8, 2013 12:01 pm

Well actually it was a team effort. The Germans initiated unrestricted submarine warfare against foreign shipping in WWI. They asked Mexico to join them in a war with the USA with the Zimmerman note before the USA entered the war. They sunk the Lusitania. There was sabotage of munitions plants in America which seemed to be from a German source. After the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor the germans declared war on America days later. The British had already survived the war for over two years by then. The Russians
and British would likely have defeated the Germans and Italians without the American troops. However Stalin would have most likely dominated most of Europe in that case. At any rate the Nazi world had to be stopped and if the Americans hadn’t have gotten into at that time they would have had to eventually if the Germans were victorious. Anyway the Brits and Americans are allies and I don’t understand this argument going on or the need for it just because we’re talking about British boxers vs. American. Totally different subject.

KOrnerman: No you’re need a history lesson, boy. There were well- established civilizations of Native Americans in America hundreds if not thousands of years before any Europeans arrived. And roughly one-third of the current U.S. was once part of Mexico.

“The Red Coats were trying to reclaim what belonged to Britain from the rebel colony states of the new world, which were founded by the British, which is nowadays called America.” LMFAO!

Not one smidgen of America ever “belonged to Britain,” retard. The pilgrims from Britain who formed the first settlements fled the UK to escape that Godforsaken place because they hated the King’s rule and government. The last thing they were doing was trying to claim America as a new colony/possession of the British Empire. Is that really what they teach you people in your public school systems and universities??? My… what a deeply skewed perspective on reality.

Thank you for stating the obvious, TARK. I wasn’t even willing to watch that type of B.S. propaganda based on British mythology and fairytales.

The USA has been 100% FREE and Independent since 1776. Our forefathers did not want to fight the Red Coats, but they invaded and forced them to defend our homeland. Twice.

We don’t have images of the Queen of England on our bills and coins like the Canadians. Never have and never will!

Scottyboy…. America won the Revolutionary War. Anyone who believes your video is an idiot.. You can’t subject a nation without an armed force and we made Cornwallis surrender and sent the Brits packing..

No Brit armed forces… no Brit taxes… no Brit laws… no Brit politicians… no Brit currency… no Brit rules or regulations… We won our independence in armed conflict that killed thousands of Brits forced them to surrender and sent them fleeing American soil — with American war ships in pursuit until they hightailed it out of US territorial waters.

America inflicted an utter and complete shellacking on the British, from General Washington clear down to the lowest musket loader.

Your hypothesis that the Brits won, and America is still a British colony, is the stuff that belongs along side the Flat Earth Society, and people who believe Apollo Program Saturn V voyages to the moon were all elaborate frauds.

Frankie Edgar beat Brazilian Charles Oliveria.

Tim Kennedy beat Brazilian Roger Gracie (of the famous Gracie family)

Cub Swanson beat German/Russian Dennis Siver.

Not sure if Weidman is a “guido,” but he’s definitely from NY. I know that Edgar is Italian though, Kennedy is Irish and Swanson is half Mexican & White.

Where are all the BIG, BAD Brits??? Looks like they can’t compete in world-class MMA.

An Old American Folk Song I Learned & Used to Sing as a Small Boy:

“In 1814 we took a little trip…
Along wit Andrew Jackson down the mighty Mississip….
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans…
And we caught the bloody British in the town of New Orleans.

We fired our guns and the British kept a ‘comin…
But there wasn’t near as many as there was a while ago…
We fired once more and they began to runnin’ on
Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.

We looked down the river and we see’d the British come…
And there must have been a hundred of ’em beatin’ on the drum…
They stepped so high and they made the bugles ring…
We stood by our cotton bales and didn’t say a thing.

Old Hickory said we could take ’em by surprise…
If we didn’t fire our muskets ’til we looked ’em in the eye…
We held our fire ’til we see’d their faces well…
Then we opened up with squirrel guns and really gave ’em H3LL.

Yeah, they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles…
And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn’t go…
They ran so fast that the hounds couldn’t catch ’em…
Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.

We fired our cannon ’til the barrel melted down…
So we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round…
We filled his head with cannon balls, and powdered his behind…
And when we touched the powder off, the gator lost his mind.

Yeah, they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles…
And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn’t go…
They ran so fast that the hounds couldn’t catch ’em…
Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.”

Happy to see Tony get some paydays before he retires. Despite his two losses to Wlad, he’s been the best American HW of the last ten years. He may have been underestimated and under-appreciated but I hope he gets a chance to continue this upswing with a KO victory over Fury before the end of the year. As far as I can tell, Fury would lose by KO to either Haye or Thompson but at least his people wouldn’t have to pay Tony as much as Haye.

I dont think anybody said Hugie Fury without a doubt will be world champ..that would ofcourse be stupid. But he had a good amature career and I like the fact hes being brought up the old fashion way.Not trying to learn the art at 30 or 32 and still be lacking aka..Wach..Price.At 30yrs old Price dont know what a jab guys can still be in great shape but have no real stamina, bad set of lungs, like a low threshold for pain not much can be done about it,or a bad chin its just part of someones make-up.

Posted July 7, 2013 10:05 am

Unbelievable, just unbelievable. I simply can’t believe that a guy turns up for a 12 round fight in that condition. He was literally out on his feet by the end of the 3rd round and it wasn’t like he was getting hit hard or leaned on a lot either. I don’t know what Lennox’s duties with Price actually entailed but I can imagine it was only technique they worked on together. Whoever was working on Price’s fitness and stamina should be sacked immediately as he was woefully short of ever getting to the middle of the fight let alone the end. Whoever was training him obviously had no idea at all of how fit a boxer needs to be in order to make it to the end in a 12 round fight.

We all saw David Haye against Carl Thompson and Wlad against Brewster and these fighters adapted after their respective defeats and made sure it wasn’t ever going to happen again. I was following Price with optimism over the years but I honestly feel he’s been caught up in too much hype too early. It was all well and good that Price was building up his resume with 1st round ko’s against domestic level competition but it was obvious that he had to get rounds in the bank along the way too. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but he should never have been placed in against an albeit aged but seasoned pro like Thompson this early. Every top HW in history with the exception of the unique Tyson had built his resume up slowly but surely and to put this in perspective, Wlad did not fight for a world title until his 35th fight and even then it was the first time he had gone the full 12. It is no coincidence that he is now at the top of his game as he and his camp know 100% what is required to get in shape.

People compare Price to Fury and although technically much better, Price has now proven that he has both chin AND stamina issues, not a good combination. Fury on the other hand, can comfortably get to the last round and is capable of knocking his opponent out at any point of the fight although as proven, he himself has chin issues although much of this is style oriented such as standing square on with his hands low. Fury will never be a world beater but I would pick him to dismantle Price with ease if they fought and Fury must be kicking himself for avoiding it earlier. Price has been exposed as domestic level and this will not change unless he gets a decent fitness coach. He needs to at least DOUBLE his fitness and recovery time because he was getting nothing back from the minute between rounds. I feel sorry for him because this loss (unlike the 1st loss to Thompson) was not his fault; he was just way, way short of fitness and this blame must rest with his camp. They were getting a percentage of his purse and from where I’m sat, did not deserve a penny for sending him out in that shape.

What makes anyone think Hughie Fury is gonna be great. Not really fought anyone. Like his cousin, his best attributes are size and reach. He may well turn out to be exceptional but nothibg has made me think this yet!

Posted July 7, 2013 9:24 am

Make that 15 fights against nobodies really at 30yrs. old.Thats why I like to keep a eye on Hugie Fury young coming up the old fashion way.Just because a kid turns pro at 18 or 20 dosent mean he will burn out not if its done smart and carefull. And if he picks up a lost in a couple of years fine it makes him that much better overall, and has plenty of time to regroup and learn from it.An older fighter like Price is not going to learn that much more.Like Wach who fought nobodies got a title shot at 32 and lost, who thinks at that age and still lacking very much he will regroup and be champ one day…no way.Like a old boxing coach told me many years ago show me a kid 17-3 then show me a kid the same age with a record of 28-0 and Id bet the kid with a couple of loses has more ring skills and a better boxing IQ.Now ofcourse thats not always the case, but I did get what he was saying.

T22 made a great point by saying how many 15 fight novices could beat thompson. this is the difference between domestic & world class – world class can take a better punch and come back, price just wasnt ready for that. Lewis might be able to teach things but not in 4 weeks – its not a big disgrace for price as he still has only lost to 1 man – i think the jump from audley to thompson was too big and maloney got it wrong thinking thompson had no ambition anymore- should look to clean up europe although if price has gas problems he should stay away from chisora

Turn pro at a late age, fight sub-par fighters, dont get in enough rds. this is what happens.Everybody thought Price was the real deal, tall.lots of power, good stance, trains hard keeps his nose to the grind stone. But he dosnt have the fighters mind set,the make-up to be a great fighter. He also seems to have a bad set of lungs, great shape dosent mean great wind. And he cant fight under pressure or off the back foot, something unknown because his lack of rounds. This era of media at your fingertips, and tons of it its easy to get loads of hype.Another modern giant who is very lacking overall, thats why I laugh when people think this is a very good era for hvwts.Little smoken Joe would have cut through him like hot butter. On paper no to big to much power,to much reach, but off paper in reality Price would have fell like a tree.Thats why we saw so many retreads from the 90s hang around so long.Old cruisers, little guys like Adamek and Haye on top of the heap for some time.Yes on paper you can point things out make these guys seem decent, but in reality their not.Price should go back to his plumbing job,but the div. stinks so bad he could still make money as a middle road fighter, maybe even abit better in this era.

Congratulations to Tony “The Tiger” Thompson for another suprising well performance victory!!! I thod that Thompson would lose this rematch to David Price but the 41 year old 2-time world heavyweight title challanger Tony Thompson have once again proven himself to still be a recognised heavyweight top contender. Thompson was before this fight ranked 8# by IBF and 14# by WBO along with 8# by Fightnews so Thompson is still up there in the ranks to copmpete, or make 1-3 good pay-day fights. Thompson mabey could just enough be good for another world title fight BUT not against heavyweight world champion Wladimir Klitschko as Thompson have been stoped twice by the great champ and fighting Vitali Klitschko for his WBC world title seems to very likley never even be near to happen so where does 41 year old Thompson go from here in his boxing career. Most likley make 1-3 good pay fights and then depending on the outcome of the fights go on and make as much as possible or if he loses those good pay-day fights, just make an fine career end and retire from the boxing ring with health and enough good moneys made from the ring. Tony Thompson is truly an underestimated gem in heavyweight boxing.

Price looked like he had the flu or something, definitely something wrong, that wasn’t Price , he gassed out similar to Vladimir Klitschko in one of his fights against another average fighter,. Thompson really is just quite average, Price should of easily beat him, he will be a much better fighter after this and would knockout Thompson quickly in a year or so.

Been a long time since I’ve seen a fighter gas out that badly. When you look at temperature last night then see how many rounds Price has under his belt you realise what happened last night. The guys not finished and if they build him up from the bottom he can still do something in the sport. Problem is they rushed him as he looked unstoppable.

Posted July 7, 2013 7:25 am

To be fair I cant think of many 15 fight novices who can beat Thompson. Im not sure if most former champs at that stage of their career could have done it. Bad management. He should have gone back to the drawing board after first loss. Sometimes a boxer needs saving from himself.

Posted July 7, 2013 7:06 am

Is that right, that all David’s fights will be HALF-PRICE from now on?!?

Posted July 7, 2013 6:55 am

Thompson should fight Seth Mitchel, then koed Deontay Wilder. Who after 28 fights is fighting washed SergieLahovich. Talk about a fighter that fights soft touches

Posted July 7, 2013 6:40 am

It didn’t surprise me that Price lost again as Thompson is too experienced, I found it strange people were comparing this to when Lennox Lewis lost to McCall and came back but the major difference is that Lennox was a world champion when he lost and had worked his way up from the bottom with the British title then European etc, It’s certainly not over for Price if he wants to continue but it has set him back a year and he will always have question marks surrounding him, people are in to much of a rush for title shots nowadays !

O’Really O’Reilly

Price got stopped by old Tony Thompson AGAIN? No chin. All David’s fans jumped ship this time. Mwhahahahaha!

Eh ??

“London is only one City in the UK with significant racial diversity.”

You find racial diversity all over UK and in every single country of EU !

Posted July 7, 2013 6:16 am

@ SC

You always come up with ” a Brit pretending to be American “. Well I got news

for you : America isn’t the greatest country ! So why should someone “pretending” to be American ??

Posted July 7, 2013 6:07 am

A lot of angry brits this morning dont worry use still hav fury

Posted July 7, 2013 6:00 am

“The UK is 92% white. You fools have no idea what cultural diversity is all about. There are many big sections of major American cities where seeing a white person is like a “Big Foot” sighting.” That’s funny, Squared Circle! They oughta make an In search style documentary looking for white folks!

Isn’t London mostly Islam now?

Price is well and truly finished, time to hang them up big guy

Posted July 7, 2013 5:08 am

Well in Europe you have so many different little countries with different cultures and languages, histories. In the USA it’s pretty much the same all over.
I’ve been over there and have been thinking of visiting it again. Never been to the UK though.

Mick the Marmalizer

I see Price ending up as a payed punch bag for the likes of up & coming stars such as Hughie Fury & Joseph Parker. :-(

Posted July 7, 2013 5:05 am

I thought it was a mistake for him to fight Thompson again. He just should have done like Khan the first time he got ko’d and not risk the same thing by the same guy.He could have gone back to beating a few more of the lesser types and come back later for one of the big boys. He may have wound up as a fringe contender with a title shot but now that chance is diluted. Thompson probably won’t be around too much longer at 41 either.

Posted July 7, 2013 4:57 am

@SC Within a two hour flight from London you have way more diversity than anything in the Americas. Most Americans have traveled nowhere and know nothing about any other culture. London is way more diverse than any American city except New York, and probably more than New York at this point. I lived in the US for 21 years and was surprised at how isolated and monotonous it ended up feeling…the “diversity” is only skin-deep.

Posted July 7, 2013 4:42 am

@ SC the USA is a extremely complex melting pot of cultural diversity.

Yes but…the same for countries in Europe…

**far thompson has come**

Posted July 7, 2013 4:17 am

Thompson is not a jorneyman by current hw standards but only 10 years ago he was a rookie with no amateur background fighting in american prizefighter type competitions, one of them thunderbox i beleive he was beaten by maurice harris in the final a guy with a 25/12 record i think, so really as much as a reflection of how fat thompson has come its even a worse reflection on what is currently being defined as a hw contender nowadays..

Whipped: With those types of ignorant comments, you must be a Brittard.

I am an American first and foremost and am half Mexican by ethnicity, which generally means most Americans think of me as Mexican. I am also Celtic and Slavic on my mother side. I realize this is too difficult for a Brittard like you to grasp, but the USA is a extremely complex melting pot of cultural diversity.

The UK is 92% white. You fools have no idea what cultural diversity is all about. There are many big sections of major American cities where seeing a white person is like a “Big Foot” sighting.

Well looks like a domestic career beckons for Price!

Posted July 7, 2013 3:40 am

No surprise that SC is an MMA fan. I’m sure SC and MM have spent many a time dry humping against a cage fence. So you’re Mexican, then American and now trying to claim Fury (“Fury, Jennings, Wilder and a couple other Americans”) as an American. No wonder your ramblings make no sense with all that self contradiction confusing your (loosely termed) thoughts.

Posted July 7, 2013 3:26 am

Murderman and squared circle, since u are both in agreement, could one of u please explain why you consider Thompson a journeyman?

Posted July 7, 2013 3:21 am

@ sc – interesting. Once again you are right on!

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

muderman: You make a really good point there, but I would still like to see Davey Boy Price get smashed out by Fury, Jennings, Wilder and a couple other Americans.

Posted July 7, 2013 2:57 am

Price may want to consider retirement. He has been ko twice by a gatekeeping journeyman. Time to hang em up!

Mick the Marmalizer

Thompson/Fury makes a lot of sense, but only if it happens on a major card in the USA(PBF/Canalo?) Fury’s still not a house hold name & needs as much exposure as he can get to make as much ca$h as he can. I know he blows his own trumpet a lot & gets up most fight fans nose’s but he’s fast becoming the UK’s #1 heavyweight even if he didn’t win the Lonsdale belt out-right.
Keep an eye out for Tyson’s young cousin Hughie, who @ only 19 is progressing well. I’m looking forward to seeing him clash with NZ’s Joseph Parker in a few years time.

Martin “El Bruchador” Honorio

Definitely Price is NOT READY for championship rounds lol..

Thompsin will be a better fighter if wears normal sized shorts to the fight

That fight of Silva has scandal written in it. You cant just throw away fight like that man.

American Chris Weidman just KTFO outta the great Anderson Silva!!!

Great job, Chris, on bringing the MMA MW Championship of the World Title/Strap back to the USA!

Silva said that he DOES NOT want a rematch with Weidman.

Posted July 7, 2013 12:59 am

Good, lets see Thompson/Fury. Thompson goes on to another payday and Price goes the f home. Upper cuts and short shots took care of Price rather nicely.

SKILLS are more important than anything else. Yet just ANOTHER fight I have again correctly predicted! I am the GREATEST FIGHT prophet ever born!!!

Posted July 7, 2013 12:48 am

Its no shock price got his ass kicked again , thompson is good with a lot of experience . Having experience in boxing is more important than any sport .

Posted July 7, 2013 12:40 am

Yo peej no one said thompson is great and price is not a top ten guy and we all know price is not da future also he does not represent heavyweight boxing , maybe british boxing . Thoght it was a 5th rd ko?

Posted July 7, 2013 12:16 am

Price is garbage. He couldn’t get someone out of there that is really not all that great. But it just shows the heavyweight landscape under the Klitchkos.

Posted July 6, 2013 11:26 pm

SKILLS and Boxing IQ are more important than Height and Reach!!
