Well IF you’re listening to women thats probably why you don’t know much about Boxing. SKILLS is more important than SIZE. Nonito Donaire agrees with ME on that because I am CORRECT. NO woman in this World can say anything to change it.

Posted May 4, 2013 8:25 pm

“I taught everyone that SKILLS is more important than SIZE” Really? That’s not what a lot of women say. But you wouldn’t know about that would you, Braggadamus? Not too many women like to date boys who work as servers at Fred’s Buffet.

Boxy, take your $70 and shove it up your ass, you fraud. What Tark said is correct. Boxy doesn’t wager. He runs his mouth and is wrong the majority of the time. Fraudweather will win this fight? No S**T sherlock. Try making a challenging pick sometime.

Nobody bets with 70 dollars… You can’t make enough to buy the next PPV.. 7,000 or you’re just not a gambler and don’t have anything to bet with.

Posted May 4, 2013 2:18 am

Take your 70 and bet it on Floyd. Make yourself an EASY 10 dollars.

Posted May 4, 2013 12:50 am

K.C. good idea. I will visit Sizzler instead with my $70. Plan to put down 5 plates.

Posted May 4, 2013 12:32 am

Tark, I’m still counting up every penny I have and it’s going on the books tomorrow. Now what really troubles me is picking the Kentucky Derby Winner.

Posted May 3, 2013 11:40 pm

It will be interesting enough… Guerrero is willing to take savage punishment for one night… He’s praying Floyd breaks his hands on his forehead… He studied Floyd’s Carlos Hernandez fight and got a flaah of insight—Floyd’s hands are extremely vulnerable… Meanwhile he plans to throw like a maniac from 1 through 12 to make Floyd show his age.. Also Floyd has to be wary of holding and hitting, elbowing, shouldering, shoving, butting, thumb shots to the eyes, and all the other stuff Robert pulled on Berto.

Stupid match…..waste of money. Take the kids out to eat instead…have fun with he family….

Posted May 3, 2013 10:46 pm

Hecdog says bet the house on Guerrero… Younger, stronger, dirtier, more willing to fight outside the rules … and a WAY harder noggin to bonk with … Look at that forehead.

How much you betting Hec?

Correctamundo aka boxtradamus You can change his name all you want but you’re still the same Old clown

Posted May 3, 2013 9:48 pm

I taught everyone that SKILLS is more important than SIZE SO they are CORRECT in saying that Broner is more formidable than Guerrero. Broner is #5 P4P. Guerrero is #8.

Posted May 3, 2013 9:34 pm

Guys are contradicting themselves they are giving Floyd grief for facing Guerrero who won 2 WW fights coming up in weight, yet they want him to fight Broner who has NEVER fought at 147? Floyd would kill Broner At this point..

Posted May 3, 2013 8:49 pm

“waste your money on betting.”-LMFAO. WE now see that Hissydalgo is TOO dumb to understand that MAKING money isn’t WASTING money. DUMB DUMB. How can you waste your money when you’re getting a 15% return on your money in ONE DAY??? The average person who plays the stock market only makes 10% on their money in 10 YEARS… Go take a MATH class. …Mayweather will WIN the Fight. Get your bets IN before the Fight. There’s nothing like EASY money!!

Fight Aficionado

“Mayweather went publicly telling Broner to not let the media influence Broner in fighting him. Mayweather also is not intrested in fighting Canelo ( even though it would draw more PPV buys than Guerrero in Cinco de Mayo ) .” – Of course, because Canelo and Broner would have decent chances at beating Floyd. The cycle continues.

Posted May 3, 2013 8:28 pm

This will be another Mayweather-Gatti. I cant see Gerrero being able to get off at all in this. I like Gurrero but think he’ll be blitzed by sheer hand speed. Its all about levels and its ok saying he’ll shut down the distsnce n cut mayweather off, impossible when your being speared to bits by a guy that’s just electric.

Posted May 3, 2013 7:57 pm

“Join ME and make YOU some EASY money.” Now, Pissymundo, you know darn well you don’t make enough money working as a server at Fred’s Buffet to to waste your money on betting. Now, go fill up the potato salad. It’s looking old.

DESQ, I think Cotto in his prime was a better fighter than Guerrero, but Guerrero is better than most people think. He’s only lost once back in 2005, and in 2006 he had a no contest with Salido the CHEATER. He’s 31-1, and that fight was avenged savagely. Guerrero is known by most for his vicious brawl with Berto, but he can box, and carries power. he’s smart fighter. He has the style coupled with Floyd’s declining skills, he’ll beat Floyd. I just hope Floyd doesn’t decide to run all night, which he may, but either way he decides to fight, Guerrero can adjust. He’s not 31-1 for nothing albeit against lesser competition, but he can and will step up his skills to the next level. trust me, you’re going to be surprised.

@hecdog. You keep pointing out INTANGIBLES as your reason for Guerrero’s “win” against Floyd. What about SKILLS, particularly lack of defense and footspeed to manuever in and out. You paint a pretty persuasive picture, but don’t think Guerrero is the right pony to ride this time. Anything can happen in boxing, we all know that to be true but objective Floyd seems to have more tools as his disposal even though he is aging. Guerrero is NOT Cotto. Based upon pedigree, do you believe Guerrero is better than Cotto?

Well said Gonz.. There’s no argument against any of that to be fair. Deep down even the staunchest of Mayweather fans will be in silent agreement with all of that.

Posted May 3, 2013 2:25 pm

The talking is all over now. Robert Guerrero will soundly defeat Floyd Mayweather tomorrow night. His youth, will to win and most importantly his faith will earn him the title. Floyd’s inactivity, age, personal turmoil in his life will all add to his loss. Floyd fans want to believe he’s the same fighter as always, but not this time. It happened to Sugar Ray Leonard. Muhammad Ali and Roy Jones Jr. All boxer that lost a step or two in their previous fights before they were soundly beaten. This will be the same, but Floyd’s inexperience to handle his body deteriorating will fight his heart out and he’ll be stopped later in the fight. Floyd is not his usual self. Yes he’s still has the drive, but a younger, hungry southpaw will a lot of support will be too much for Floyd. A new champion will be crowned. Floyd fans are going to have to humble themselves and face the outcome with courage. All good things come to an end. Trust me on this one. Andre Ward and Robert Guerrero will finally elevate this sport and add class class to it.

Posted May 3, 2013 2:11 pm

Guerrero is probably in perfect condition and will probably keep coming like gangbusters thoughout the fight to take advantage of his relative youth and physical conditioning.. I see Guerrero getting point deducted and having to change tactics… And losing a lopsided decision in a supremely entertaining and possibly controversial fight.

I meant to say: “before the shameful cheater Margarito…”

Posted May 3, 2013 1:51 pm

“Mayweather Jr believes his uncle, who is suffering from sugar diabetes, over-trained him for his points win against Miguel Cotto 12 months ago” It’s interesting to me that the “GOAT” has an excuse for Miguel Cotto being a tougher and better opponent than he thought he was. Deep in his heart Floyd is still “pretty boy.” He’s so vain he can’t even live down a bloody nose and a couple of good welts put on him by a way past his prime Miguel Cotto. Lucky he didn’t fight Miguel in 2008 before the shameful cheather took something out of Cotto that could never be regained. Oh well. Cry on, Floyd. You weren’t overtrained and you know it. You just underestimated your opponent.

Posted May 3, 2013 1:50 pm

terror tim

Guerrero is a good boxer and will probably take some rounds but he doesn’t have the speed to contend with Mayweather. I don’t see a lot of fireworks in this fight. More of a chess match which the boxing purest will like but not sure about the casual fan. Hopefully its a good fight. I am not seeing the hype around this one as you would normally feel. Don’t have the friends calling to see if I am getting it like normal, wonder if being on Showtime is hurting the PR for the fight. I know Showtime is doing their version of “24/7” HBO just has more prescribers than Showtime.

Right…. I checked right after I posted it because it didn’t sound like anything Floyd would say… I scanned the comment a little too quickly.

Posted May 3, 2013 11:06 am

Miatestomper – well if you saw Terry Norris get rid of SRL or Oscar blowing away JCC you would know what I mean. Castillo had a second bite at the cherry and he blew that too then lost to Corrales and Hutton. I’m not talking about some close decision which could got either ways depending on who you like more, I’m talking Rigo vs Donaire type of performance, no doubts. That is how Mayweather should be beat, he deserves to go out like a great beaten by a younger opponent with some skill and grit not some bs decision like Jermaine Taylor vs Hopkins only to be exposed by a limited Pavlik.

Posted May 3, 2013 10:57 am

Broner OR Canelo with Floyd will set a new PPV record and record gate…

I can’t wait to see which one he fights… I disagree that he’s not going to fight one of them next… They’re not going anywhere.. They’re too young for Floyd and getting better, and faster, and stronger with each fight — and Floyd is getting older and slower and more ring worn with each fight.

The sooner he fights them the better because Floyd has a 6-fight contract and he doesn’t want to wait until he’s 38 or 39—when he’ll have a fat chance to beat them… Better to bite that bullet right now, while there’s still a lot of tricks they haven’t mastered.

Posted May 3, 2013 10:53 am

I don’t know what is happening with you guys. Maybe it’s the hating that makes you go berserk but please at least make an effort to keep your composure and state your facts straight. @ Tark: Please read: …but Guerrero said: “I’m comfortable with however he wants to fight.

“I’ll fight him on the inside. I’ll fight him on the outside. Whatever, he wants, I’m ready.

“You can’t underestimate him, and you can’t look past anything he brings. If he’s slowing down, his slower is faster than almost any other fighter out there.”

Read that : …but Guerrero said. its no Floyd on Guerrero…you got it all wrong buddy.

Anyway to come back to BOXING. Its gonna be Ghostbusters come fight night.

Posted May 3, 2013 10:47 am

Mayweather went publicly telling Broner to not let the media influence Broner in fighting him. Mayweather also is not intrested in fighting Canelo ( even though it would draw more PPV buys than Guerrero in Cinco de Mayo ) .

Posted May 3, 2013 10:18 am

Tark- I bet u 1 million dollars Mayweather will not fight either man. No to Canelo, no to Broner, just like he said no to Pacquioa. Hes made up his mind on his next 5 opponents and it wont be those 2.

Posted May 3, 2013 10:16 am

Floyd on Guerrero…, “His slower is faster than almost any other fighter out there.” … Wow!!! If he think Robert is fast, wait until he catches hold of Broner. Another quick guy is Canelo…and he’s 3 X as strong as Guerrero.

Floyd will probably be fighting Canelo or Broner next… Unless Floyd wants to take another extra long vacation to see if Pacquiao can invent a new way to get past Marquez with a fading Roach in his corner. He fights about as often as David Haye.

I don’t think Floyd overtrained for Cotto… It’s just that Miguel has a great jab… He’ll tag just about anybody up with his crackling jab, particularly if he has 4 years of age on you. Floyd forgot Miguel was only 31, and keeps thinking he was like 38.. People make it sound like Cotto’s an old man and was beating up Floyd. He wasn’t beating Floyd up. Floyd went head to head with him and out-punched him by 90 shots. You go into a shorter, quicker man’s wheelhouse and you’ll get tagged with a couple. Don’t overthink this because your nose was bleeding and you have 17,000,000 critics.. Did Ray Leonard have a tough night against Terry Norris??? Some guys are just very fast and they’re going to get hit somebody your age.. Being undertrained is as bad a deal as being overtrained.. Maybe you felt off because of something very simple … like maybe you need more sleep at more regular hours and shouldn’t train at 3 AM when you’re 36 years old.. Guerrero is a guy you should get past, but your next opponent is going to be tough … don’t let Broner and Canelo start licking their lips watching you in this one.

Posted May 3, 2013 10:09 am

no he hasn’t

Posted May 3, 2013 9:51 am

Happyboy he’s been beat by Castillo

Posted May 3, 2013 9:40 am

I look forward to the day Mayweather gets beat as I’d like to see how that boxer does it. In April I witnessed Rigo pull an upset of note and he deserves all the applause as he showed why his a better boxer than Donaire. I just don’t see Guerrero as a better boxer/fighter in this case.

Mayweather. UD win.

Dan D

I initially thought it could be good to have both in there but, on second thoughts, that is a recipe for fire works. I still can’t see Guerrero bringing anything that Floyd hasn’t seen before. Robert is a dirty fighter, that’s it. He holds and hits, uses his head and isn’t conscious of the use of the elbow but I think that alone isn’t enough. Floyd will dump Robert hard on his ass then old Sr should whoop on Ruben Guerrero in the ring after the main event lol

Posted May 3, 2013 7:15 am

TKO 10

I think Mayweather could get beat up in this one, possibly stopped in the Championship rounds.

Posted May 3, 2013 7:07 am

Blue Collar

Geez I’ve got a real gut feeling about this one. Guerrero is gonna give Floyd absolute hell in that ring. Whether he comes out victorious, I don’t know, but I’m thinking Floyd is gonna need to rumble a bit in this one. Could be interesting.
