Things are set to hot up in the heavyweight division this March. There are three fights, two of them world title fights, that will go down over a four-week span: Anthony Joshua Vs. Joseph Parker in a March 31 unification clash that will see the winner emerge with three belts, Deontay Wilder-Luis Ortiz in a March 3 WBC defence by Wilder, and Dillian Whyte-Lucas Browne in a March 24 elimination bout

Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker set for March 31 in Cardiff
The Heavyweight unification fight the world has been waiting for between Anthony Joshua MBE and Joseph Parker will take place at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on March 31, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Joshua and Parker have agreed to put their IBF, WBA Super, IBO and WBO belts and unbeaten records on the line, ending a period of intense negotiation between the rival camps.
Joseph Parker: Joshua has a glass chin, he knows it, everybody knows it, they just don’t talk about it
The way Joseph Parker tells it, we will not get to see a heavyweight super-fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder – not while both men are carrying unbeaten records anyway. Parker, the unbeaten WBO champ, is set to face Joshua, the WBA and IBF ruler, this March; and the New Zealand warrior sees only one outcome: AJ being knocked out.
Team-Horn: Jeff will achieve greatness by defeating Terence Crawford
If Jeff Horn shocked the boxing world with his wholly unexpected July 2017 decision win over Manny Pacquiao, what will the reigning and defending WBO welterweight champion achieve if he manages to defeat the unbeaten Terence Crawford in the upcoming April 21 fight in Las Vegas? Well, according to Team-Horn, the champ’s trainer Glenn Rushton in particular, “The Hornet,” as the also undefeated Horn in known, will achieve nothing less than greatness with an upset win over the former 135 and 140 pound king.
Anthony Joshua says he’ll fight Deontay Wilder after Joseph Parker
According to Anthony Joshua, the world will soon see the guaranteed heavyweight explosion that is the much talked about Joshua and Deontay Wider showdown. AJ was a guest on TV chat Show ‘The Graham Norton Show’ last night and he said that after the imminent Joseph Parker fight, he will indeed face Wilder next, in Las Vegas.
Marvelous Marvin: The Early Years
Turning pro to little or no fanfare back in May of 1973, no-nonsense southpaw Marvin Hagler (the ‘Marvelous’ was added much, much later; and legally) slogged his way up the hard way. Fighting tough guys for low pay checks, Hagler’s inner hardness was formed. Nothing came easy to him, and there were very few opponents that could in any way be referred to as anything other than formidable.
Carl Frampton (Frank Warren) Vs. Amir Khan (Eddie Hearn) on April 21st
Fight fans, British ones in particular, will possibly have a tough choice to make on the evening of April 21st: attend/watch at home the hugely intriguing Carl Frampton-Nonito Donaire fight in Belfast, or attend/watch at home the Amir Khan comeback fight in Liverpool.
Both British stars will engage in their respective fights, while a ratings battle will also take place, between Sky Sports, who will televise Khan’s comeback, and BT Sport/BoxNation, who will do the business with the Frampton-Donaire clash. Frank Warren, who promotes Frampton, obviously wants his show to triumph, but Eddie Hearn, who of course has just signed Khan to a three-fight deal, believes the star power of Khan will see to it that his show gets the bigger viewing figures.
Results: Claressa Shields defeats Tori Nelson
Unified Women’s Super Middleweight World Champion Claressa Shields dominated previously undefeated Tori Nelson en route to a 10-round unanimous decision in the main event of ShoBox: The New Generation Friday on SHOWTIME from Turning Stone Resort Casino. Reports say GGG-Canelo II practically a done deal for May 5 – not so fast, says Oscar De La Hoya
Fight fans got excited today, as news broke suggesting strongly how a return fight between middleweight rivals Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez was all but a done deal for May 5 – with just a few minor items to be settled (such as the venue for the bout) before the fight we all want to see (again) would be announced to the world.
Deontay Wilder given 60-hours community service for marijuana possession
Just a week after news came out about how former heavyweight king Mike Tyson is to open a cannabis ranch in Death Valley, comes a 60-day community service sentence for reigning WBC heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder due to his possession of marijuana. Wilder, who was pulled over in his tinted-windowed car back in June, has been sentenced to carry out his 60 hours at a local YMCA, reports say.
