Jordan Shimmell notched his 20th victory in dominant fashion on Saturday

Jordan Shimmell, 20-1 with 16 KOs, earned his 20th victory on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Walter E Washington Convention Center in Washington DC. Jordan took on Willis “the Prophet” Lockett who is from the nearby DC suburb of Takoma Park, Maryland. Lockett was 14-15-5 going into the fight and was coming off a victory in December 2015 over 13-3 John Lennox and a close split decision loss to 10-0 heavyweight Ed Latimore in January 2016.

Jordan Shimmell, 19-1 with 16 KOs, will be boxing at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in downtown Washington DC on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Jordan will be boxing Willis Lockett, 14-15-5, in an 8 round featured bout on the Kings Promotions’ card. Jordan is looking to get his 20th victory since turning pro on June 30, 2012. Jordan will also be seeking his 17th knockout in his 21st pro bout and doing so against a very rugged and durable opponent.

Jordan is scheduled to box an 8 round bout against an opponent TBA. Jordan Shimmell who has an 83% KO percentage will be boxing for the first time in 2015. Jordan turned pro June 30, 2012 & had 7 fights in 2012. He had 5 fights in 2013 & 6 fights in 2014. Although Jordan had 18 fights in just 2.5 years, he made short work of most of the fights as his fights averaged only 3.28 rounds each. Jordan has won every round of the 59 rounds he has boxed as a pro.

Jordan Shimmell, 18-0 with 15 KOs, is once again training with WBC World Light Heavyweight Champ Adonis Stevenson. Jordan flew to Montreal on Wednesday, March 4th to join Adonis’ training camp as Adonis prepares for his title defense against Sakio Bika in Quebec City on April 4th. This is the 4th training camp in which Jordan Shimmell has helped prepare Adonis for an upcoming opponent.
