Ronald Gavril: #TheOne to Watch

By Boxing Roundup - 08/28/2013 - Comments

Q.1 Ronald, you made short work of Dave Courchaine at the StubHub Center on Saturday night. How happy were you with the performance?

I am very happy of course, I had very good training for it and the result is a great
satisfaction.

Q.2 Were you hoping the fight would last a few more rounds or is getting the early
KO something you are always happy to take?

If an opportunity to finish early a fight happens I always hope to take advantage of it. I am going in every fight prepared to go the distance if needed, so far in only happened once and I aim to continue my KO streak!

Q.3 How did you celebrate your 6th professional victory?

I fought very early on the card, I stayed and enjoyed the rest of the fights with my team and friends who came to support me and after we had dinner in LA.

Q.4 You have just announced your next bout will be on the undercard of Mayweather-Canelo on September 14th. How does it feel to fight on such a mega event?

I am thrilled and very motivated to know I am part of Floyd’s mega event on Sept 14th. I appreciate the opportunity given by Mayweather Promotions and I intend to take full advantage of it.

Q.5 Will you take some time off from the gym or are you straight back into the training this week?

No time off for me. I have to be ready for Sept 14th which is coming up close. No matter who the opponent is…I will be ready. All I know is that is going to be my first 8 rounds fight.

Q.6 Are there any aspects of your game you are focussing on with trainer Eddie Mustafa Muhammad?

Eddie is concentrating in bringing me to another level with every fight. We work on every aspect together and I can’t wait to show it in the ring.
