Agit Kabayel Ticket Sales Reach 35,000 For Hysa Fight

Boxing 24/7 Wire - 10/05/2026 - Comments

Frank Warren claims 35,000 tickets have already been secured for Agit Kabayel’s stadium fight against Nelson Hysa in Düsseldorf, telling Playbook Boxing that the figure was reached over the weekend.

That gives Warren a strong commercial argument for keeping Kabayel fighting in Germany. It also raises a question about future matchmaking: how much incentive is there to pay for tougher opposition if his home audience turns out for Hysa?

“We’ve done 35,000 tickets already,” Warren told Spence Oliver at Playbook Boxing. “He sold out last time. In one day, we sold out. Now we’re in a stadium.”

Warren’s wording leaves some uncertainty over the sales process. He also said tickets would go on sale the following day, without explaining precisely how the 35,000 figure related to advance sales. It remains his stated total rather than an independently confirmed attendance figure.

Even with that qualification, the demand he describes would put Kabayel in an enviable position. A heavyweight capable of drawing a stadium crowd at home gives his promoter options that fighters dependent on overseas funding do not have.

The concern is what Queensberry does with that advantage. Hysa gives Kabayel an opponent for a large home event, but selling tickets does not establish that the fight will test him. A successful promotion and a demanding title defense are separate achievements.

Kabayel’s drawing power could help finance bigger fights in Germany, bringing leading heavyweights into his territory. It could also make less ambitious matchmaking profitable enough to repeat, particularly if supporters are buying primarily to watch Kabayel win.

Warren said heavyweight unifications are the objective when asked about his roster. That is the more interesting use of this audience: turning Kabayel’s popularity into the financial backing for fights against other champions.

The Hysa event can demonstrate how large Kabayel’s following has become. His next opponent will tell us more about how aggressively Warren intends to use it.
