Sanigar Events and Queensbury Promotions are proud to announce that former British and Commonwealth Super Welterweight Champion Liam Williams has been added to the huge night of championship boxing at the Ice Arena Wales, Cardiff on April 14th live on S4C. Liam returns to Wales after seventeen months following massive back to back clashes with domestic rival Liam Smith. The popular fighter from Clydach Vale will box for the second time at the Ice Arena Wales, last time scoring a TKO against unbeaten Gary Corcoran in arguably the best win of his career. Williams will box in an 8 round contest against an opponent to be named shortly.

In the headline event Ashley Brace, Wales’ undefeated female contender will drop down in weight to take on Germany’s Xenia Jorneac for the vacant European super-flyweight championship. Brace fought an enthralling back and forth contest last time out that ended in a draw against Melania Sorroche for the European title at bantamweight but feels that boxing at the higher weight put her at a disadvantage:
Former IBF Bantamweight World Champion Lee Haskins will return to action on December 15th at the Merthyr Leisure Centre live on S4C. Haskins’ last fight was a valiant points loss against Belfast boxer Ryan Burnett for the Bristolian’s World Title back in June. An injury suffered during the contest forced Haskins to delay a return to the ring but the former champion is now fully recovered and has his eye on recapturing his world championship belt.
WBC International Female Bantamweight Champion Ashley Brace will challenge Spaniard Melania Sorroche for the vacant European Title at the Merthyr Leisure Centre on Friday December 15th. The contest was initially scheduled for 9th December but has been moved to not clash with Welsh World Champion who defends his title in London that evening.
Bristol’s Ashley Lane captured the vacant Super-Bantamweight crown in an epic 12 round scrap with the experienced Preston based South African, Michael Ramabeletsa last Saturday at Play Football in Swindon. Referee Dave Parris scored the fight, 117-112, 116-112 and 116-115 in the Bristol fighter’s favour.
Swindon will see two seasoned professional boxers fight for the prestigious Commonwealth Title next week (23rd Sept).

The ever popular Dan Sarkozi will headline the show in an 8 round contest against former foe Daza Usher from Oxford. The last time the pair clashed in December 2014 Usher won a contentious four round decision by a one point margin, 39 points to 38. Sarkozi will be out for revenge and believes his superior boxing skills will gain him an undisputed win on March 10th.
IBF World Bantamweight Champion Lee Haskins has been forced to withdraw from his upcoming world title defence in Kyoto, Japan on 31st December against Shohei Omori due to a leg injury sustained in training.
Initial medical reports have stated that Haskins should be able to resume full training in early January 2017
