Good luck Donovan George! You’ve been exciting in every fight I’ve seen you in. Can’t say that for a lot of fighters.

I would like to see George get some help from a talented cornerman. He has great potential that his father can’t keep focused when things get rough. He really should have beat Sierra, but his old man was a moron in the corner giving him no gameplan. Johnathan Banks could do something with him, whose proven a better student of Steward’s than Sugar Hill.

Big Al

I like this move. If he doesn’t lose stamina, etc. with the weight loss, his power punches could have more of an impact and make the difference between being a contender and a serious threat. SuperMW is such a strong division; there are better opportunities at Middle. Macklin, Barker, Quillen, Lee, Sturm, Rubio, Vera, Pirog — any of these guys vs George would be great.

i agree with minn. and chi-town, and the reason he is b level, he has a b level trainer, his dad, it’s such a selfish same, with his heart and power, and just a little better technique he could win something, it’s like trying to fix the wiring at your house instead of calling an experienced eletrician…….

Donovan George

KOrnerman, desperate ? Wake up. I’m trying to put my self into a spot to make a name for myself and get a title shot. That’s it. I could get fights in any weight class I pursue. I’m a white kid that jams every fight I’m in . Getting fights is not hard. I’m doing this so when I’m an old man I can say ,” I gave it my all and cut zero corners “

George is okay, but not an elite level fighter. He reminds me of the fighters we have here in MN. Okay fighters that aren’t going to make it outside the state.

Desperate? Or Hungry? I still don’t think he’s world class, and won’t be anything more than a Blevel MW, but it beats waiting on the Wards, Kesslers, Butes, and Froch’s of the division to get a legitimate title shot, only to be blown out.
At least at MW, he can take a title from a soft holder like Quillen and make a few quality defenses. It’s a good move actually, one that a more dedicated and hungry man wouldve made yrs ago.
