When Mariusz Wach smashed McBride into the middle of next week he said…, “That knockout punch was for MIke Tyson. This fellow McBride couldn’t beat Tyson in his dreams.”

McBride maybe could have done something big in boxing…but was lazy.He never trained hard and was sent packing from the U.K. and then came to Boston. As a young guy in the U.K. he was being molded but his lazy habits…not training like he should he was droped from a hopefull to a hopeless.McBride didnt have the drive for boxing thats why he looked like a slow fat elephant throughout his career. He will be the type of guy when hes a old man sitting on a bench wondering what if???

Killing Moon The Soothsayer

Honestly, his biggest achievement was being knocked out by Axel Schultz….Not alot of people can say that.

Granted, Tyson was washed up. Still, every expert in the world, including Teddy Atlas viewed this as a one round win for Tyson, a safe fight to set up something bigger. For once, McBride got in shape, took the punishment and Tyson wore out. If nothing else, McBride has courage. He had one great night, and it is a pity he couldn’t cash in on it. He has been cannon fodder for peanuts ever since, but guys like Adamek and Wach still tout him as a notch on their belts.
