Yeah right, always 100% accuracy after the fight…

John Cpnte was an overrated fighter… Matthew Saad exposed him as a speedy guy — but a poor defender.. He couldn’t get under a punch.

Joe Calzaghe is also overrated… He was an in-your-face brawler like Nathan Cleverly, and was easy to knock down … but JC never met an excellent, prime, all-around boxer to expose him, like Sergei Kovalev.

Posted September 28, 2013 4:04 pm

Tarver was the 1st to flatten Roy Jones… He’s older than Roy and had to wait a long time to face him… Few gave him a shot besides me.

Floyd Mayweather woulld’ve cleary beat Sugar Ray Robinson
Floyd Mayweather is clearly better than Sugar Ray Robinson
Floyd Mayweather’s resume is better than Sugar Ray Robinson’s
Antonio Tarver would probably beat Archie Moore

There are countless more but that you do you for the time being.

TARK número uno espástico

One i’d like to have seen that could of happend @ 175Lb, but never did would have to be John Conteh VS Victor Gallintez!

Posted September 28, 2013 2:10 pm

how about you go back and get into debt for a piece of paper and learn little? I’ll stick to real life experience and common sense and stay out of debt. already, you have shown debt is the only thing you have really gained.

Posted September 28, 2013 2:09 pm

Tach, what is college (been there, done that) going to teach me that real life has not? What is a book going to tell me that hands on experience hasn’t already?

Tark: Conn, Gibbons & Tunney were actually all pre war. As was Bob Fitzsimmons who would have cleaned anyones clock in his prime. “Let’s have it my friend”!!

Posted September 28, 2013 2:05 pm

Mick the Marmalizer.., Michael Spinks was way too strong for Bob Foster, who was a super skinny dude who lost to Doug Jones.. Ezzard Charles was too fast, strong, and slick, at 175, for Archie Moore..

Charles record vs Moore was 3-0 with a devastating KO.

Billy Conn, Mike Gibbons, Gene Tunney, and Antonio Tarver would probably beat Moore too. Moore’s cross armed defense made him vulnerable to guys who could throw hard and fast.

Dionysus you can eat fast food every day for a month a don’t exercise you will have a moon face and a moon size belly. He’ll you ever work in IT? Look at start pictures of IT employes then look at them 3 years later moon face, moon ass, and Jupiter belly has nothing to do with PEDS. You need to go back to college my man and stay awake in your science classes.

My top post war 3 light-heavyweights
Bob Foster.
Archie Moore.
Michael Spinks.
This sould start something!!……….

Tachyon, PED’s don’t make your head big? Are you sure? Do you know what “moon face” is? I’m not spouting bro, I know enough and then some.

Hidalgo, maybe it was well timed an I didn’t give him credit. I just came to that conclusion because in a fight w/ fighters of that skill level, one punch shouldn’t end a fight in the first round. I wonder had it went past te first round and all around skill were involved what the outcome would have been. Because that fight (for me proved nothing).

Doe’s anyone actually know who’s #1 in the World @ 175Lb right now? Shumenov(WBA) seems to have gone on holiday with Lord Lucan, Bellew can’t seem to get an opponent, so we’re left with Old Man Popkins, Stephenson & Cloud. Surely there has to be some young talent coming though in this division apart from Kovalev!!……….

Posted September 28, 2013 1:04 pm

I like Cloud easy

Posted September 28, 2013 1:03 pm

Still.., Stevenson looks fresher at 36 than Cloud looks at 31. He also looks thicker and stronger and the fight is in Canada — where they don’t do Americans any favors. Cloud might need a stoppage to win so I favor Stevenson by a tad. Cloud nearly stopped Glen Johnson, but never put his foot to the floor when he had Glen badly hurt.

It’s an interesting matchup, but not one you necessarily want to bet on.

Dionysus, that was no lucky punch that Stevens caught Dawson with. It was perfectly timed and delivered, although the reason it had such devasting impact was that it landed behind Dawsons ear and on the back of his head. But that could have happened because Dawson dipped his head just a little about the same time the punch connected. Still I wonder if the ref didn’t stop that fight a little soon.

Right on, Brother Gonzo covering my back via “fly-by”. It’s good to know he is always circling above…

Posted September 28, 2013 11:10 am

This to me is a 50/50
Stevenson ok shocked everyone by splattering Dawson in 1 x Round
But these things happen in Boxing where the bigger guys can crack

Witherspoon v Bonecrusher Smith
Lennox Lewis v Atomic Bull

These things happen
Usually normal service resumes afterwards

I’ll Take Cloud by ko within 6

Posted September 28, 2013 9:58 am

Well, he is supposed to be a lb less than Cloud but his head and everything else seems much bigger. It is kind wierd.

Posted September 28, 2013 9:49 am

For me something isn’t right with Stevenson, i have a gut feeling he’s on PED’s

Posted September 28, 2013 9:35 am

Cloud doesn’t impress me at all. Stephenson caught Dawson with a perfect but lucky punch and outside of that he’s not really fought anyone. The winner is headed to the slaughter anyway as the Russian lays in wait.

Posted September 28, 2013 9:29 am

Changed my mind, I’m gonna have a punt on Cloud at 4-1

Cloud has fought Much better opposition and Stevensons smashing of Dawson flatters him

Cloud is a tough c*nt and unlike Hopkins , Stevenson will be right there all night long

Will be a great fight of two bangers

It’s Me, Ernie

Just like Tard taught me…

It’s Me, Ernie

I give the winner about 8to5, but Ill say who that is after the fight of course.

Posted September 28, 2013 2:21 am

OK Boxtra.., You’ve got Cloud. If Stevenson wins we won’t hear from you.. If Cloud wins you’ll be on here bragging about being the GOAT picker of winners. That’s why you’re using one of your obscure names.

Posted September 28, 2013 1:03 am

Should be a real good fight. Edge to Cloud… I think he’s a little better technically and he’s got a really good chin as well.

Posted September 28, 2013 12:11 am

Cloud is going down bad, I know Stevenson he is totally dedicated, he carries that Kronk banner, Emanuel took him under his wing thought he was the biggest puncher in boxing, said he was the biggest puncher he has ever seen, I know Adonis and he fights for himself his family his country and for Emanuel, Cloud is in deep trouble!!

Posted September 27, 2013 11:48 pm

Martin “El Bruchador” Honorio

Im going for Cloud, he got better competition than Stevenson, although Stevenson beat Dawson, he does not meet high level comp consistently like Cloud.

Posted September 27, 2013 10:50 pm

Cloud getting retired tomorrow night!

Posted September 27, 2013 10:12 pm

Super man got this fight

I hope the Stevenson-Cloud winner fights the winner of Hopkins-Murat, or Kovalev. In my opinion, Stevenson is The Number 1 Light-Heavyweight today.

FA, you could be right. Cloud hasn’t looked too good lately. Maybe that’s because he stepped up in class, but against Stevenson he’s going to have to fight smart, and utilize good defense. I just don’t see him doing well in this fight. But hey, at least he took the fight, maybe he’ll surprise me…

Posted September 27, 2013 5:45 pm

Adonis by KO late rounds or wide UD.

Tomato Can I thought the same RE: Cloud. Could be just that pic but as they say, a picture tells a thousand words. I just don’t think Cloud’s been in good physical or mental form in 2 years already. He peaked early. Now it’s a slide.

Is there a chance that Chavez Sr. and the Bob Father will let Jr. fight the winner of this fight? Heck fans might pay to see that, just see the end of the Chavez farce.

WTF? Is it me, or does cloud look like a scared child who’s getting ready get punished?

Stevenson’s got a pretty good staredown here. If he wins as I expect he will, put him in with Kovalev.

Posted September 27, 2013 3:38 pm

Joseph Herron

This is going to be a great fight!! Winner fights Kovalev!!

Posted September 27, 2013 2:58 pm

Now here is a fight for that FAT FK Chavez Jr.
