Gonzo the Dragonborn

You sure did Hidalgo. lol

This should be a great little scrap while it lasts. Macklin’s going to bring it, and King Daddy Golovkin’s going to show him how they get down on the Kazakh Steppes. I predict fireworks!

“Matty Macklin’s arms are quite similar to mine, albeit less muscular, defined and masculine. lol” LOL, Gonzo. I guess I missed out on a moment. Tell you what though, Macklin’s arms tell me he’s been working hard on building up strength for his power punches. I’d say he plans to fight fire with fire when he faces GGG. Thing is, Triple G has a helluva flame thrower!

Lol Brother Hidalgo.. It’s a shame you missed it. You could’ve shown it to the missus to get her engine going if you catch my drift? I’ve tried posting it (and a couple of others of my flexing too) a good five or six times, but one of the mods (I think it must be the same clown who keeps deleting my posts so he can steal my jokes) won’t let them through. Actually, come to think of it, Matty Macklin’s arms are quite similar to mine, albeit less muscular, defined and masculine. lol

Good Luck Matt. Hope you don’t hit the canvass too many times. I like macklin, but he’s outclassed this time. 300 + amateur fights for GGG.

Carl Pratt

This looks like a good fight but I am not signing HBO for it.

All the best to Matt Macklin.

With the likes of Crib Death commenting, no wonder this site has lost a lot of respect. Poor show, Eastside Boxing.

“Hidalgo.. Did you manage to catch a glimpse of that picture of my bicep I posted last year? ” I don’t remember seeing it Gonzo. Of course you know I was joking about Macklin’s cannons, right? I used to have a couple of nice little knots when I was in shape. God knows where they went when I quit working out

To me, this is GGG’s make or break moment….this is FIRST true test IMO, this will be the first time he’s fought a top rated middleweight, sure it’s not his fault he hasn’t fought one, but that doesn’t change the fact that he hasn’t. We’ll see! I think he will impress.

Posted June 26, 2013 11:43 am

Murray yes, Barker to me looks the same level as Mack, thats a close fight imo.

Posted June 26, 2013 8:48 am

Maklin is dilusinal,Barker and Murray would both beat him,GGG will walk straight through him, best camp ever best shape ever, head down going in in straight lines same as ever.

Posted June 26, 2013 8:40 am

Mac looks the best I have ever seen, a man that knows this might be his last chance at a world title, should be a great fight.I hope Mack wins but GGG’s KO power looks more than Mack’s.

Posted June 26, 2013 8:30 am

third world

i see a very good fight coming in this one.god bless them both and may they have the strength to beat the shi-ite out of each other for 12 beautiful rounds.

Posted June 26, 2013 7:19 am

Golovkin make me a believer. them otta guys, too.

Posted June 26, 2013 3:18 am

Ellbily .ggg didn’t become ko artist right away ,only three wins he has by scoring out of26 fights ,and those three UD were 8 round fights

Posted June 26, 2013 3:16 am

Good luck to macklin, I am glad he said had a best training camp In his carrier and best shape because he needs to be against ggg.
Triple ggg has it all but I agree this one is his biggest test to show us how good he really is.
I see this fight lasting 6 rounds the most ggg win by a stoppage and I can see haters writing after that how macklin was a bum and ggg proved nothing …lol

Posted June 26, 2013 2:35 am

Mack will play straight into GGG:s hands …….

Pat Mustard

It’s a dog eat dog world and Golovkin’s got bigger teeth.

I think it’s a bad style match up for Macklin, if he applies his volume game like he did against Felix Sturm then he’s gettin knocked out early. I don’t see Mack winning by KO or decision but kudos to him for taking the fight.

I see this fight being like Jamie Moore-Macklin shrunk down to 2 exciting rounds rather than 8-9 before Macklin is out like a light.

Like the guy, he has a great attitude, but he is going to be taking a knap.

Posted June 26, 2013 1:31 am

I only say he is unproven because of who he has fought in the pros. Fighting in the amateurs really does not mean to much to me. There have been to many fighters that where great in the amateurs but where not great pros or did not amount to much. But I can also recognize that he is a beast and I have always said that. I am just looking forward to the fight. If he runs through Macklin then I will be like wow. But I am expecting a good fight, Macklin can handle himself in the ring. Now he has been out for a bit but like I said I am looking forward to a good fight because they both come forward.

Hidalgo.. Did you manage to catch a glimpse of that picture of my bicep I posted last year? I was wearing a white T-shirt and flexing at about somewhere in the region of 65-70%. Tark definitely saw it because I remember he passed comment on it.

Looking to knock somebody out isn’t news for a boxing match, is it? You can look for gold in the hills … That’s like Brian London when he was a 30:1 underdog to Ali, and says, “I’m looking to give it a go.”

TV interviewer…, “You’re looking to give it a go??? Doesn’t sound like you’re putting any passion into this Brian.”

Uh, those are the biceps of a body builder. Not a boxer. :)

I like Macklin but he’s going to get a serious bumming on Saturday night.

Posted June 25, 2013 8:18 pm

Whoop dope. Triple g is indeed on a warpath. Also its golovkin chasing nobodies. The top middles are avoiding him clearly. However I think Martin Murray will take the shot if offered to him. As for Martinez, keep on calling floyd and Pac out you chicken s*** . Grow a pair and fight triple g.

harold bishop

50 quid on macklin returns 275-300.. Now there’s a tempting little beast. We’re about due an upset…

Posted June 25, 2013 7:21 pm

Never seen Macklin in such impressive shape. Hes coming all guns blazing!

Posted June 25, 2013 7:20 pm

Squared-Circle (a.k.a. LionKing)

Triple G is one the best amateur fighters in boxing history — like Rigo. Those guys calling him an unproven “Hype Job” really don’t know what their looking at here. 375 pro and amateur fights and has NEVER once touched the canvas, ever. Not in bouts, sparring or training. That is what you call an Iron Chin.

Mack has a set of brass-balls the size of Texas — WAY too big for his own good. But he’s still one of the top 4-7 MW’s in the world. He should’ve won his 1st major title when he boxed Sturm’s ears off, but got ROBBED in Germany. Don’t forget: Mack quite nearly beat Maravilla. He put SM on the Canvas once and was leading on ALL cards after 10 rounds. But he really should’ve taken 1-2 tune-up fights after his surgery and long lay-off. Mack is a true warrior in the throw back sense of the term.

That being said, Triple G is now on a 12-fight KO/TKO streak. He will win this fight via brutal stoppage, probably in the middle rounds, for his 13th stoppage in a row! After this W…. what I’ve been saying for two years will become blatantly obvious to most: That the best fighters in the world from 154-168lbs have been ducking GGG because he’s the absolute truth. “The Natural.”

Either Man-up like the Mack or run for your lives Maravilla, Chocolate, Chavez, Murray and Geale!!! Because Triple G is on the war path and coming for your heads!

GGG has yet to be proven and this fight will show something. GGG is a beast. Macklin could of been the champion if he didn’t run out of gas. Looking forward to this one. I’ll actually get to watch it live. Past few fights had to DVR since my girl doesn’t like boxing.

Golovkin will destroy Macklin and make it look like easy money.

Posted June 25, 2013 6:13 pm

Its going too be all woop woop come fight time GGG by massive KO ….

Posted June 25, 2013 6:10 pm

Woop Woop

Cheer on Macklin as he deserves it, taking on challenges when injured and long lay offs. Typical of Golovkin to chase fighters that have disadvantages. GGG a fraud and fake paper champion.

Posted June 25, 2013 5:56 pm

No doubt “The Knife” is feeling very confident after going 11 rounds with Martinez and KOing Alcine in one. But Triple GGG is a whole new beast. He may be “looking to KO Golovkin” but it will likely end up being the othe way around. Either way, it should be a very good fight while it lasts. Golovkin by bruising UD or stoppage.
