we have to stop buying slop …boycott …or keep coming home to find your girl has another friend….pay attention….Posted September 5, 2012 9:08 pm
Khan is on his own……he is done…or he has the fire from before….Khan should be fighting every sixty days against pre contender talent……or just fold his tent and go homePosted September 5, 2012 9:04 pm
Old lion give week children….old lion must be chased off..so that the best are still the best…..protect old lion…not good for the spiecies…get the picturePosted September 5, 2012 9:02 pm
THis….is why the ‘law of the jungle’ is supposed to determine who fights who.
Champ is stil the champ…but has to defend his Title every ninety days …against the top available contender.
Promoters have fkd all of us…and if you buy the slop…you are part of the problem..not the solution
You can get it free in ten days….and watch a rerun of Foreman vs Mohr…or Hearns vs Hagler…or some of the good fights I know you guys have on hand….I was always a favourite of Joe Louis vs Max Baer…..those three consecutive Louis vs Baer left hooks are what inside fighting are all aboutPosted September 5, 2012 9:00 pm

Khan definitely improved when he first teamed up w/ Roach. However his growth seems to have stagnated. Of course that could be the increase in his level of opposition. In any case Khan does need to make changes & a lot of those changes have to come from within. Khan seemed to deny or dismiss flaws in his performances. Acting like you are infallible & believing it are two different things. Every fighter lives with/needs a certain level of denile otherwise they wouldn’t be fighters. But in order to improve one must be able to see their own weaknesses. Khan has decent power but his reach, speed, chin should dictate him fighting at a more measured pace & distance. Khan still seems to still be fighting an amature style at an amature pace. That doesn’t work for a pro. Khan needs someone that can teach him to calm down in the ring as well as work on his many fundamental flaws. If that happens he has plenty of potential.Posted September 5, 2012 8:16 pm

Excellent article and imo on the moneyPosted September 5, 2012 5:55 pm
Khan has to fight his way back into contention, and that could take years of work with his new trainer, whoever it is… He has a lot of issues to work on …. I’m interested in seein Ajose Olusegun-Lucas Matthysse, a blockbuster fight.. I want to see the winner of that one vs Danny Garcia.. There’s some great fights coming up in this division.Posted September 5, 2012 5:47 pm
Do you realize that almost every punch that Garcia landed was a counter punch. Literally almost every punch. Also- by the 3rd round, Khan slowed down drastically… Believe me, Garcia is a lot more skilled then Peterson.Posted September 5, 2012 5:14 pm
What a corny responds… People don’t like him because of his mouth, poor character, and ego… not because of his race.Posted September 5, 2012 5:12 pm
Now that is a good article. Very well written. Compare that with Michael Collin’s article of yesterday. Good stuffPosted September 5, 2012 4:54 pm
Just shows you that he was highly thought of…and still is, he has huge questions marks over him now, he just seems to be the most impatient fighter there is.Posted September 5, 2012 4:50 pm
Too many articles on Khan… This is probably one of the reasons that he that he thinks he’s better than what he is.. Has the king lost his crown???? Seriously???? LOL… Write more articles on the guy that just whooped his ass…Posted September 5, 2012 4:43 pm
My sentiments exactly…Posted September 5, 2012 4:41 pm
I really believe this kid has been unlucky, he was robbed against Peterson ….who was using…..no doubt, and walked on to a bomb from Garcia, but when he is gone…he is gone, he looks like he will never recover, he tried desperately against Garcia and showed he has guts but no brains, he doesnt perform to his strengths. He should never say he will KO someone, he is more likely to win on points. What he says sometimes is stupid…really stupid, but I do believe he has a future, he can come back from this no doubt, but needs to stop engaging and forcing the issue so quick, he is too fast for that. This kid aint done yet, and his fights are the most exciting out there….one way or another.Posted September 5, 2012 4:35 pm
The Peterson fight was close, closer than anyone anticipated. Especially Khan. With that said, I think he still won that fight. Even with a hometown 2 point deduction for pushing. Peterson got caught using PEDs though, so you have to cut Khan some slack on that one. Garcia just caught him with a counter when Khan’s guard was downPosted September 5, 2012 4:05 pm
Yea, like Paulie MalanaggiPosted September 5, 2012 4:01 pm
Where he’s born (usa) is relevant, but he’s a Puerto Rican first. & Oscar was touted as a Mexican-American fighter. He was “The Golden Boy” of both countries until Floyd ended his career & forced him into drug abuse & cross dressing. SmhPosted September 5, 2012 3:37 pm
I like Khan, I think he’s got all the tools to be great. He just has to stop believing his own hype. Nobody is immune to the good old “2 piece & a biscuit” if they don’t keep their hands up. He’s been down twice in a row now, how he responds next fight is gonna tell me alot about him. I thought he was the future of Boxing. Now I’m looking at dudes like Canelo Alvarez & Adrian Bronner to carry the torchPosted September 5, 2012 3:32 pm
Agreed. But with his length, he shouldn’t be fighting inside anyway. Dance around, stick & move & rack up those rounds. Khan just feels the need to prove something. So he gets into exchanges with more powerful fighters & gets dropped in the processPosted September 5, 2012 3:25 pm
Could have sworn Danny Garcia was American?….is Oscar Mexican then, not American? :?:Posted September 5, 2012 3:22 pm
I just wish he would use his reach to his advantage. He tries to prove he’s tough & gets rocked in the process. I thought Freddie Roach would help him see his strengths. But Khan thinks he’s Pacman. Only problem is, he’s got mediocre power. Use that length younblood, 12 rounds of jabs & counter-hooks, & Khan can beat anybodyPosted September 5, 2012 3:22 pm
The Mad Scientist
A mere Con can keep opening his mouth all he wants..he’s been reduced in the boxing world as a fighter we became accustomed to loving seeing him get KTFO on any given Saturday night because he can shut his runnie toilet..keep it up Queen Con, can’t wait to see you get KTFO again..Lol!, laughing at all those poor fools who support this clown..Posted September 5, 2012 3:18 pm
I got some insight for u: Andre Ward’s patience & superior boxing technique wins Unanimously over Dawson. Chad is my boy, but he’s too nonchalant for my liking. Ward is an Warrior, a silent Asassin.
As for Chaverz Jr. vs. Martinez: I think it’s a good fight, but Martinez combination of speed & power prove to be too much for the young, inexperienced Chavez, who is taking a MAJOR step up in class. I think Chavez has a punchers chance, but I don’t see him KOing Martinez or beating him on the cards. Chavez gives away too many early rounds, Martinez gonna put those in the bank & coast latePosted September 5, 2012 3:16 pm
Well thanksPosted September 5, 2012 3:13 pm
Khan is Prince Nasim 2.0 with a longer jabPosted September 5, 2012 3:10 pm
I had Khan winning the first fight narrowly. But I guess that’s why the Peterson rematch didn’t happen. Cuz he got caught using PEDs. I didn’t think Peterson was much of a threat at first, but watching him vs. Khan, I said “damn, this guys punches thump”. Maybe that’s why Khan may have overlooked him a little bit, cuz the tape showed him Pre-PEDs. I don’t kno what happened in the Garcia fight. Danny’s dad got in Khan’s head with all that “I never met a Muslim that could fight” commentsPosted September 5, 2012 3:07 pm
Fans are fickle, but none more so than Happyboy…..Recently he wrote”Khan may not have been everyone’s cup of tea,but he beat the hell out of many good champions”….When I asked him to name some he used plenty of profain language but couldn’t name one….Now we are treated to his new opinion that Khan was a hype job and anyone who knew boxing should know this…..Is any boxer safe from this in depth analyser …..Posted September 5, 2012 3:05 pm
“that arm chair critics are always so quick to point to”. Just wondering Mr. Klimaszewski, are you a boxer? If not, I was wondering what kind of arm chair you have?Posted September 5, 2012 2:47 pm
Couldn’t even finish reading this dribble. Khan is a whiny c.unt that cant back his words……so we hate on him….end of. :cool:Posted September 5, 2012 2:41 pm
Officiating changes fights – fact. Against Peterson, Khan had planned to do his usual. Hit, hold, elbow and run. When he gets hit he pushes opponets away and relies on ref to intervene to creat space, as he did with maidana. His other tactic is to double over and turn his back on the ooponet when he is in trouble. Fortunately, joe cooper put an end to all that and from rd three it was obvious that without assistance from the ref Khan cannot fight inside. Thisw as not exposed so clearly in the past since refs always helped him, probably with a nod from the promoter. But that night it was evident and all too clear. But he knew no other tactic and kept pushing and holding. The ref rightly docked points.
Khan cried and wailed. But look at the maidana fight. The ref was disgraceful, harldy fair but firm. Khan was given space all the time, and elbowed maidana many times and grabbed down on his neck. Once maidana expressed his frustration by nudging out his elbow and not even connecting, the ref took a point from Maidana (by the way, had that point not been taken, Maidnaa was winning that rd and would have had it 10-9 in his favour rather than 10-8 aganst and so would have won on two cards.
Then in the 10th fiar but firm virtually stopped Maidana from hitting Khan, jumping in as though he was his dad protecting him. NOt a word from the promoter who represented both fighters – they were obviously biased. But when Cooper took pts from Khan (rightly), they were screaming and complaining.
Maidana was robbed,Posted September 5, 2012 2:18 pm
Yes- a body shot. Nothing to the head had any impact.Posted September 5, 2012 1:33 pm
First of all, this is not a “neutral” perspective. Second, most don’t have issues with Khan inside the ring, but how he acts outside. Having a bad chin is not his fault, having a big mouth and an unchecked ego is.Posted September 5, 2012 1:25 pm

Holding and hitting. Running to avoid boxing. Extensive self promotion beyond all reason. Plus a glass jaw. That’s Amir Khan. Court jester but never a king.Posted September 5, 2012 1:16 pm
He just says the wrong things all the time just when people are starting to warm to him he comes out and calls himself a superstar ? A get knocked out superstar he’s starting to show ! This goes back to the Prescott days ..The 1st thing he said when Peterson beat him…. Rematch..Garcia then beats him… Rematch.. No one remembers him shouting out Prescott for a rematch … Maybe that could be his comback fight .Put right the wrongs Prescott,Peterson and Garcia and hopefully Kell Brook will still be unbeaten by then ..Posted September 5, 2012 1:03 pm
…of the chicken dance! :grin:Posted September 5, 2012 12:55 pm
Will be hilarious if he loses his next one. Three losses in a row will end any discussion of him ever being a superstar.Posted September 5, 2012 12:53 pm

If he had talent, he wouldn’t leave his chin out there. There is more to talent than just running his mouth off.Posted September 5, 2012 12:53 pm

Garcia isn’t a better boxer than Peterson he was getting lit up by Khan’s right hand.Posted September 5, 2012 12:16 pm
Someone that truly cares about Khan should tell him to retire before he sadly winds up like Ali it seems like he gets hurt in just about every fight and Danny Garcia`s father said the same thing. Can you imagine if Julian Jackson who hit hard enough to knock out a horse hit Khan on his suspect chin with a power shot.If you have ever seen the punch that Jackson hit Herol Grahmn with on film or YouTube in the fourth round of their WBC title fight somebody needs to show that to Khan because boxing is not a game it`s real out there in that ring. These guys are trying to feed their families.Posted September 5, 2012 12:15 pm
Khan didn’t fight Peterson any better than Garcia.. Garcia is a better boxer and cooler finisher.. Peterson is basically a brawler like Maidana with slightly better skills while Garcia has pretty good all around skills.Posted September 5, 2012 12:12 pm
Maidana blinked, grimaced and rolled around on the canvas during the first round.Posted September 5, 2012 12:03 pm
Khan lacks grace, that is why he is so unpopular. He is a braggard who refers to himself in the 3rd person. This would be forgiven if he had the skills to match.
Some nonsense being put on here – both fromt he author and contributors.
1. Khan does not display balls in the ring, contrary to the claim. He runs. His opponetns chase him (quite leterally) as he runs for dear life, and that makes it exciting. The only time Khanhas stood and engaged (Prescott/Garcia), he has been stopped both times. Against Maidana he ran from rd 3 onwards, literally running, holding, turning his back, bending over and oput of the ring all while looking at Joe Cortes to save him, who did just that. Against Peterson, Khan ran to the extent he was doing lap after lap on the back foot at one stage, Peterson doing a marathon in oursuit. Watch rd 7 for an example – yet people say he fights and brawls.
2. Someone said above khan has timing – that is one thing he clearly lacks. He can neither time punches (just throws a cluster hoping they land and if not grabs and pushes oppnents down by their neck). He cannot even time punches coming in his direction gets hit evey time, his defenc ehis to run, when he tires, the defence becomes standing on the ropes with a high guard and waitng for the ref to assist. Unfortunately for him he did not have Joe Cortes in the Peterson fight. Peterson is a very light puncher (never dropped any noted fighter), yet he bullied Khan around the ring.Posted September 5, 2012 11:45 am
Talent is not the problem. He has talent there is no dispute about that. His weak chin is the issue. His chin looked like it had been totalled in a car wreck after Garcia nailed him.How about giving Garcia some shine ? Because the only thing you can talk about with Amir Khan is him getting knocked out and that gets boring after awhile. There is only so many times you can go over, hash and argue about him getting knocked out and it`s a shame because Khan can`t improve his weak chin he is stuck with it for the rest of his career.Posted September 5, 2012 11:44 am
prince naz put on a better show than king kahnPosted September 5, 2012 11:31 am
Khan’s talents, vulnerability plus the likely scenario of changing trainers makes his future interesting. He may act like a spoiled brat but his fights are entertaining so get use to seeing many, many, many more articles about him in the future.Posted September 5, 2012 11:20 am

The one thing that can be said about AK is that he at least gets in the ring with whoever they put in front of him. I haven’t seen nor heard of him side stepping anyone. Some will say prescott but in reality there’s no money in that one for a rematch. Hell we got to admit he’s entertaining his KO’s have been pretty cool. Sorry but true.Posted September 5, 2012 11:11 am
It`s not harsh for fans to say that Khan has a glass chin, it`s the truth. It`s the elephant in the room and the thing that is hanging in the air over Khan`s career like a bad smell because he is in denial about it . Oscar De la Hoya and Rudy Giuliani like to dress up in ladies clothes, it`s not harsh to say that, it`s the truth.Posted September 5, 2012 11:11 am
What don’t you understand about a “rematch clause”?

Yeah lets talk about how Garcia has wasted that victory by agreeing to face Morales in a pointless rematch that nobody wants. Khan’s future > crappy rematchPosted September 5, 2012 10:28 am
He said his ambition was to be a superstar! Kell brook has referred to himself as a Superstar, James degale, and host of others well as for Arrogant lots of fighters are far more Arrogant Carl Froch, David Haye.

Add me to the list of those that “love” to see Khan…get KTFO!
Khan lived in the shadow of Manny, which was great for his profile and sparing, but he then started to refer to himself as a ‘Superstar’, and anyone apart from Manny and Mayweather was beneath him. I enjoy Khan’s fights, but the ego started getting way out of hand, and if he had beaten Garcia, that ego would have needed it’s own plane to get to the U.K. Manny has remained very humble, yet Khan has become the opposite, acts arrogant, flaunts his wealth, and really believes he is levels above everyone else. He becomes more delusional after every win, and if there happens to be a loss, then that blame is shifted to someone else. It’s not racial, it’s his personality.Posted September 5, 2012 9:48 am
Its a crying shame that Amir has lost his last 2 fights. He has so much natural ability- speed, timing, accuracy and a high work ethic. His eagerness to prove all his critics wrong has led to his downfall. After the PEDerson fight, everyone criticised Amir for holding and spoiling, in my opinion he wanted to show his critics he could win without the spoiling- this left him exposed and the rest is history. His un-shakable self belief and confidence make him the fighter he is but he has to learn to fight a smart fight and forget about trying to please everyone. He will be back I’m sure!Posted September 5, 2012 9:48 am
The way Khan fought Peterson is the way he should have Garcia in and out and holdPosted September 5, 2012 9:24 am
