HaHaHa “Floyds a decent fighter” ridiculous comment from a ridiculous poster who overuses the word “Baboon” to GROSS extremes… Face it man whatever battle you are waging against Floyd Mayweathers GREATNESS you are LOSING and LOSING badly Gonzo… Floyd did not get marked as GREAT yesterday or a couple years ago, he is NOT Donaire or Martinez both of whom I respect… He was “Fighter of the Year” since he was 21 years old before Al Haymon, the Bentleys and the Record Breaking PPV’s NOW at 36 he sits with his foot on top of Boxing and EVERY other sports neck… He is the HIGHEST paid athlete in the world and people are paying and celebs coming out in droves because they are witnessing Picasso or Michaelangelo at work EXCEPT his canvas is another mans face…..Experts and the public have NOT been wrong for close to 20 years, and this is NOT the Da Vinci Code or “Illuminati” where a small town imbecile who nicknamed himself “Gonzo of Nazareth” and obvious knockoff of Jay Z”s “Jay Hova” is going to prove the planet wrong… Floyds a BEAST and Castillo is just ANOTHER guy he beat 2x, the Castillo fight is the height of desperation Castillo fought one close fight with Mayweather lost and got easily whipped the second time and FMJ detractors have been spanking their poles for over 10 years to the same tired porno… Heres the facts in a 17 year career he has lost ONE card to a fighter who is a 6 weight Champion, Undefeated 5 weight classes, 1 year ring rusted, coming out of jail, 36 years old and STILL NO ONE is given a chance unless they have a 20 pound weight advantage… Get ready to suck down another win homey… Its MAY DAY!!

With the Cold War between GBP & Top Rank along with the Bob Arum/ Floyd Mayweather feud what’d you expect? Arum has kept all his boxers away from Mayweather but Floyd has lasted long enough for them to be out of contract with Top Rank and still beat them down, younger or older:-)

Mr Miller – was Floyd at his peak when he faught any atg?

Posted May 4, 2013 1:43 pm

Floyd never fought an atg when they were in their prime. The victories that he has on his resume, well uncle Roger might have been able to accomplish as well.

Posted May 4, 2013 3:49 am

Well there’s no way that he could have beaten Leonard or Hearns.

Posted May 4, 2013 3:42 am

Gonzo even Pipino Cueavs and Wilfred Benetiez would have beat him. Even Salvador Sanchez at 130 would have beaten this fraud

LMFAO Emperor Cesar Chavez would’ve put Baboon-Eyed Floyd in graveyard in for eternity after 2 or 3 rounds max and Norris would’ve knocked him spark out in 30 seconds.

Floyd doing big box office is like how the Bearded Women used to pull in the punters for your local freak show. LMFAO. Truth be told he only actually has a handful of true fans. And that’s a fact btw.

”Greatest of all time”? Tarky baby been tokin’ on those opium spliffs again. Hall of fame fighter, sure.. but he doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as the true greats.

Right Gonzo…. Meldrick couldn’t get past soft chinned Terry Norris or JC Chavez.. His defense was lousy.. He was flashy not good.

Floyd is the biggest box office attraction of all time…and many consider him the GOAT aside from that… Meldrick Taylor is the poor man’s Cory Spinks.

Ammendment to previous post. i said that “punch would have knocked down 95% of the lightweights out there” meant to say “welterweights”

Posted May 3, 2013 6:45 pm

If there is a upset in the making I give Guerrero a chance at doing it
His record speaks for itself and he’s hungry. He’s tough, and rugged and will bring it to Mayweather all night long.. it’s a long shot but if anyone can beat the “Money Man” it ‘s Guerrero .. Also, check out the book Boxing I just got it and it’s great a must for all boxing fans …

Posted May 3, 2013 6:44 pm

OK, i am pretty SICK of people talking about how Floyd’s legs are not the same. WHERE is this from???? Here is the so called evidence- “mosley rocked him”(ONCE), they talk about Ortiz & Cotto catching him a few times. Now for the FACTS- mosley did catch him with one mammoth shot- that pucnh would have knocked down 95% of the lightweights out there. Floyd stayed up & one that round and every other one!!!!! We all saw the one flurry where Ortiz allegedly landed punches to FLoyd on the ropes. FACT- none of those punhes landed clean on replay- people get excited anytime someone lands a punch on Floyd even if its his gloves!! wishful thinking. Lastly, Floyd chose to go toe to toe with Cotto(not really his style)hoping for a knock out. Thats not his style and he got jabbed here 7 there nothing really major- we are so used to not seeing one punch land on money that when he loses 3 rounds its a war..LOL OK now that we have cleared that nonsense up.

I have a better chance of finding a true blond on the jersey shore than guerrero has of making this even competitive.
Some CRAZY people are saying he will box- REALLY, REALLY? if you looked up boxing- you would find a pic of mayweather!!! If he tries that he won’t win a minute let alone a round.
Its a question of picking his poison- if he chooses to box its over before it even starts, if he opts to box inside, he will be playing into one of the deadliest counterpunchers in the game!!!

We see this with every Floyd fight- everyone “COULD” upset him uptill he steps in the ring. Then its, ” when will FLoyd fight a real challenger and stop fighting bums?” Floyd even at 50 % is better than 90% of fighters out there.

Posted May 3, 2013 6:40 pm

What happens if Mayweather loses by brutal KO?

Posted May 3, 2013 5:36 pm

Please record the fight. Underestimating a fighter that is 31-1, hungry, young, southpaw coupled with Floyd’s inactivity, declining speed, legs and personal life in turmoil is a dangerous thing to do. Guerrero’s sincere trust in his faith will allow him to reach his destiny. He is more skilled than people think. They judge him on a Berto victory? No, no, he has very unorthodox southpaw skills that will make a huge difference in the fight. He has stamina forever, and more importantly, he thinks and figures out styles. That shoulder roll stuff will get Floyd hit a lot. You’ll see. Mayweather will be yelling mayday, and his dad may have to throw in the towel. Age and life ha finally caught Floyd Mayweather. A new champion will be crowned.

Guerrero is just another “Flash in the pan” who gets to fight Mayweather because he beat Berto, that’s it. So he’ll get busted up but will still be smiling all the way to the bank. So will Floyd with more money after another win over another beatable fighter. I think I’ll wait and watch sometime in the future ..maybe.

Posted May 3, 2013 4:02 pm

This is a very easy prediction to make: Floyd will walk Guerrero down, bust him up and knock him out by the 8th or 9th round. I know it would be nice to see close, hard fought battle on Saturday night, but sorry folks, that’s not about to happen. Floyd is miles ahead of Guerrero and Guerrero has already lost, before it begins. Floyd via KO 8th.

Posted May 3, 2013 3:25 pm

Hidalgo – Guerrero is his mandatory defense, you punk.

Posted May 3, 2013 3:11 pm

Guerrero is susceptible to right hands and uppercuts. We all know Floyd loves to throw a RH lead and its done with PRECISION and right down the pike. If i’m correct, over-the-hill Casamoyer put Guerrero down with this punch. Guerrero is a southpaw and will be in position for this punch from Floyd all night. Also, Floyd has increasingly used uppercuts as well. Aydin and Berto had succes with this shot and used it over and over with great success against Guerrero. Guerrero’s defense is so poor so he’ll be open to these shots all fight long. Taking multiple shots (even if you have an iron chin) is not a recipe for success for any boxer. I’m also interested in seeing this this so-called “adaptiveness” that Guerrero has been peddling. Employing multiple techniques DURING the fight and using different fight tactics for each fight after an 8-week training camp are two DIFFERENT things. If Guerrero is so “adaptable” how come he didn’t adapt in the Aydin or Berto bouts and take those shots away from them in the next round….you can believe the hype, the talk and get caught up in the “man of faith” angle and determination all you want…Guerrero lacks the tools to beat Floyd. He needs more than determination and angst against Floyd’s lifestyle and shenanigans to overcome his prevalent weaknesses.

Philly….pressure IS the key, but from a bob n weave style, hitting wherever the punches land and avoiding clinches, or a much bigger, longer fighter with skills and power….. a stand-up pressure fighter the same size as Floyd will get countered with sharp , crisp punches and clinched whenever necessary ,unless he throws a lot of punches and avoids clinches…but pressure is what is necessary

Posted May 3, 2013 1:13 pm

philly shell

Gotta disagree with Chip Mitchell – Guerrero’s best chance is to pressure Mayweather. If he stands in the middle of the ring and tries to out-box Floyd, he’s going to get a boxing lesson.

Posted May 3, 2013 12:59 pm

Mayweather has equal power on his close punches as he does on his long punches….that’s one area where most fighters are limited and get surprised by his punches’ effectiveness….

Posted May 3, 2013 12:46 pm

Rapid, I agree that Berto can be a more shocking puncher than Floyd and he’s a naturally denser man.. But Floyds accuracy and the ability to land really clean hurtful punches, coupled with Gurreros gutsy approach to bouts make me think Floyd’s gonna get him outta there via accumulation and shredding his face… The more Gurrero presses the more Floyd’s gonna land but I don’t see Robert packing it in, unlike Mosley and others who were tamed he’s gonna go out on his shield this is gonna be fun…

All this hype on Guererro because he beat an worn shot smaller Berto, who had allready been soundly beaten by Puerto Rican Collazo but Collazo got robbed.. and Collazo beat Berto when Berto was Juicin like Chavez Jr and Canelo..

Posted May 3, 2013 11:39 am

I just watched some of Guerrero’s old fights vs Aydin, Katsidis and Casamayor. Robert better be packin his 9 his in for a huge suprise. His flat footed, slow and telegraphs his punches. This gonna be a walk in the park for Floyd. I hope there are no controversies on fight night.

Posted May 3, 2013 11:04 am

“I think Berto is a harder puncher than Mayweather is, and he didn’t even wobble Robert.” It’s not necessarily the harder puncher who does the most damage – placement & timing count a lot too. Hearns hit way harder than Duran at welter, but couldn’t wobble Ray, whereas Duran did that emphatically in round two. Floyd has good timing & precision, so him putting the hurt on Guerrero is not that unlikely a scenario.

Posted May 3, 2013 10:50 am

Mayweather wins, he juist signed a 6 year deal. unless he gets knocked out, no way he loses on the cards.

Posted May 3, 2013 10:19 am

I don’t see Floyd Stopping Guerrero. I think Berto is a harder puncher than Mayweather is, and he didn’t even wobble Robert. I think Roberts southpaw stance, roughouse tactics, and sheer work rate is going to make Floyd very un comfortable. I’m not going out on a limb and picking the ghost, but the kid has a way better chance than people think, and the fight is gonna be close. For me, for Floyd to win, he’s gonna have to throw more than his typical 15/ 30 punches a round to keep this kid honest.

Posted May 3, 2013 9:58 am

Floyd’s toughness is underrated but it has been showed increasingly as his movement had decreased Hatton, Ortiz and Cotto… If you think Floyd Mayweather cannot rumble or get nasty you need to open your eyes even Merchant who likely prayed daily for Mayweathers death said against Cotto “he’s gone from Mitts Mayweather to Hits Mayweather” Floyd knows how to hurt and deter (Shane Mosley) after round 2… Guerreros gonns take a lot of punishment and old Ruebens gonna have to make a decision … The bravado wanes as the specter of future brain damage looms from CLEAN headshots…

Posted May 3, 2013 9:37 am

Why is Hecdog discussing Pacquiao? I love Manny but his career needs to be rehabbed at this point.. He needs to stop a solid fighter then pray Marquez gets by Bradley then a rematch assuming JMM agrees which I think he will… As for the matter at hand, Guerrero comes to fight he’s a hungry guy and he took some punishment from Berto, he’s gonna force Floyd to stop him in the 9th or 10th the guy knows of he tries to box it’s gonna be ridiculous… Floyd stoppage round 9….

Posted May 3, 2013 9:31 am

Mayweather. UD win.

Posted May 3, 2013 8:16 am

Ring doesn’t have a welter champ according to the May issue. Shows Floyd at #1 and Guerrero at #3. So this bout will most likely determine a welter champ for them.

Enough people will buy this fight so it doesn’t matter… There are 460 million North Americans… They only need a million and a half to buy the fight… Not that many… So if 6 people decide they’re not going to buy it this time the promoters will live with that… They probably know when they sell one PPV about 20 people are watching, and spending more on beer, pizza, wings, and potato chips than on the PPV… That’s why they keep jacking the price up… The first PPV I bought about 1980 was 10 or 20 bucks… I forget which… But usually I don’t pay anything unless I’m hosting… Which is once in 20 times.

Hecdog, it’s called a publicity stunt. Manny would have never beaten Floyd. From the Diaz fight to the thief Marquez fight I firmly believe that Manny Pacquiao was getting some extra help. I don’t believe he was a clean fighter. His rise and subsequent fall are not consistent enough. Once Floyd got on he Ped trail and started sniffing Mannys performance started to suffer.

Boxtra is picking Guerrero i see. Boxtra has an imposter too apparently that will no doubt pick Floyd to win, both bases covered then and, after the fight, boxtra will disassociate himself with the incorrect pick. I’m going Floyd by stoppage, c’mon boxtra call it and commit to your word.

Posted May 3, 2013 2:57 am

Happy Boy, Manny Pacquiao stated very very clearly on the ESPN show First Take with Skip Bayless that the entire world saw telling Floyd Mayweather he would take any test he wanted and even take a 45% split. This was before the Ped punching Marquez last fight. Pacquiao put it all out there and asked Mayweather to respond. The message was relayed to Mayweather on more than one occasion, and guess what, Floyd never answered. Floyd has been scared of the greatest fighter of all times and the ONLY 8 division boxing champion in the history of boxing. Floyd will have to live with the fact that he ran from Manny Pacquiao. He never wanted to fight boxers in their prime. Corrales was the only legit fighter I’ll give him credit for. Manny fought them all. Get ready for your excuses when Robert Guerrero defeats Mayweather in shocking fashion.

Posted May 3, 2013 2:37 am

Hecdog is just another stupid ass hater with low self esteem. Pacman who evaded OSDT tests is supposedly the greatest boxer but got ktfo by a lightweight 40yr old, now the hypocrites wanna test. Well Marquez passed the same test and Angel was there training Marquez when they robbed him. mayweather is supposedly having problems with southpaws, which one cause he beat every southpaw his faced. This whole religious angle these boxers use is tired, repulsive and transparent just like their supporters. Guerrero is no Rigo and Floyd is no Nonito either, come May 5 Guerrero is in for a huge suprise, Mayweather is gonna put on a boxing clinic, KO by 11round.

Posted May 3, 2013 2:11 am

Floyd adjusts… Zab Judah did drop him and have the better of him for 3 rounds (The referee missed the knockdown)… Floyd had to adjust to his speed rhythm, and soutpaw style. But he did, and dominated from the 4th round. This is what’s different befween professional and amateur boxing.. In the pro game if someone is a little faster or more athletic, or just a freaky thing where his peculiar motions just brings you right into his wheelhouse, you have time to make those adjustments and find a way to beat him.

Posted May 3, 2013 2:06 am

Ghost I know but difference is Floyd’s never been dropped and in any round he was hurt in he actually ended up dominating that round a few moments later

Mayweather by CLEAR UD or Jaw dropping stoppage

Posted May 2, 2013 11:58 pm

Chip- I’m going to do exactly as you ask and call you crazy. Guerrero fighting in the middle of the ring would be like a soldier in the open field trying to fight a sniper. Just ask JM Marquez, one of the purest boxers of this generation, how that worked out for him. If the fight happens in the middle of the ring it will be because Guerrero could never find a way to get in without getting pot shot to death. In that scenario he’ll end up like Gatti. Plus Floyd doesn’t need to “run” all night either. He needs to keep Guerrero at a distance he wants and move intelligently, he’s got plenty of legs for that and can use his hands to do it to.
BTW, you lay out the perfect fight plan for Guerrero and STILL pick against him, so you’re not completely nuts.

Posted May 2, 2013 11:51 pm

Floyd is the greatest gate keeper of all time, and the reason all these guys are stumbling over one another for a fight with him is because he is a getekeeper you can lose too, and still get respect. As for Guerrero, he doesnt punch hard enough and gets hit to easily, Floyd will hit pot shot him all night and probably not even get as damaged as he was against Cotto.

Manny did not do it all. He was only an offensive fighter, no defense. His defense was his offense. Yes Manny is a great fighter but not greater than Floyd and like Ive said many times Floyd would of beat Manny easy. And if Floyd loses then he loses plain and simple. There should be no excuses.

Posted May 2, 2013 10:02 pm

Right largo…. Another referee I don’t want to see is Arthur Mercante Jr… He refereed the fight between Lennox Lewis and Michael Grant and was totally oblivious to a dozen holding and hitting fouls committed by Lewis. Lewis was mssively better than Grant anyway, but Marcante just let him foul Grant as he pleased.

Posted May 2, 2013 9:21 pm

I mentioned Manny Pacquiao only to show you what a good southpaw will do vs Mayweather. Manny is not good, he’s great. Floyd is a boxer counter puncher, but he’s not a true Fighter that will go toe to toe with you. Fighters fight. Joe Frazier, Tyson, Duran etc. Mayweather uses his speed and reflexes to win fights, but he can’t and wont fight toe to toe because he knows what will happen. And that’s okay, but great fighters like Manny Pacquiao do it all, and some times they lose, but they’re not afraid to beat others at their own game. When Floyd gets beaten by Guerrero on May 4th, and he will get beat, you’ll imagine what a primed Pacquiao would have done to him. It won’t matter after Saturday though. My pick is Robert Guerrero wins in stunning fashion, and one of the biggest upsets in boxing. I’m curious though, if Floyd losses saturday as most think he won’t what will be the reason he losses???. Please give me your thoughts. Will it be his age? style of fighting or something else that will cause Floyd to lose. Just a question for you Floyd fans.

Posted May 2, 2013 9:19 pm

“..Robert will not be allowed to operate on Floyd like he was allowed to operate on Berto—way outside the rules.”…No, he won’t & that pretty much takes away his only chance to win the fight.

Posted May 2, 2013 9:10 pm

BTW… This writer is dreaming if he thinks the score is going to 115-113… It will be more like 118-110. Robert may win a couple of rounds with rough tactics. That might impress officials if they appoint anybody like Julie Letterman or Duane Ford — which I don’t think they will.

Posted May 2, 2013 9:09 pm

The only Robert Guerrero opponents most fans have heard of are: Casamayor, who had been losing coming into their fight, but was well past his best… Katsidis, a very poor boxer who had a string of loses to top boxers, also well past his best… and Berto, who lost by UD to Victor Ortiz—getting knocked down twice and clearly outpointed. How has Ortiz fared against other top fighters he fought? What other top boxer has Ortiz ever outboxed? He’s a known quitter.

Guerrero doesn’t have any wins over guys like Trout, Cotto, Marquez, Bradley, Pacquiao, Matthysse, Garcia, Broner, Alexander, Peterson, Brook, Provodnikov, Thurman, or even Maidana. Nobody that tough is on his record.

Beating Berto is a nice win but Robert will not be allowed to operate on Floyd like he was allowed to operate on Berto—way outside the rules. If the referee for this fight is Lou Moret Robert’s chances to win the fight would be very promising indeed—but that’s not going to happen.. So I wonder about the remarks Robert and his father are going to have about Floyd following this beat down. Are they going to give Floyd his due? Or what?

Posted May 2, 2013 8:54 pm

Prediction, he still sells more PPV than anybody, where the real money is made

Posted May 2, 2013 8:20 pm

According to Hec… Robert Guerrero is supposed to prove why a closer to prime FMJ “didn’t want any parts of” Manny Pacquiao…. sooooo… once the much older FMJ beats Guerrero…. you’ll come back and say “oh, well that’s what would have happened with Manny”? hahaha… you know what… I’ll at least write that to YOU from then on, jajajaja.

Like I said, FMJ is UNDERRATED.. it’s not about what you think of him PERSONALLY… that doesn’t have anything to do with MY point, it’s what some think of him IN the ring. FMJ is supposed to get bewildered and owned according to you… and he’s supposed to lose. So you shouldn’t do anything but tip your hat ONCE your prediction is proven wrong…. right?

So then once he handles Guerrero are you ready to come back on here and say well his style didn’t baffle Floyd at all, so there for Mannys wouldn’t either?

hecdog: What legend is liked by everyone? Actually he IS like by MANY MANY people… “he’s just not liked by a lot of people and never will be” your implication that the biggest ticket in boxing doesn’t have millions of dieheart fans? because that’s false, and if you’re saying that many people don’t like him and never will, then obviously you’re correct, but that’s very general, and your attempt to express that is grammatically incoherent. ” His pompous, arrogant egotistical attitude and personality” …oh yeah, because your attitude and your personality are two different things, thanks kid. All I’ve seen is a man being calm, while the other camp spread crap and nonsense, you’d like FMJ if he were “one of you” …you’d want to blow him, that’s a fact, that’s how you people are… the hate mongers. You want him to be more humble, but he’s shut up against his last FEW opponents, and hasn’t been talking trash, but you still say he needs to humble down? If he’d be more liked from doing what you want him to do, what he’s doing.. then how can you then say he’ll NEVER be liked by certain people? That’s because you’re RIGHT, he will never be liked by certain people… but it’s not about HIM but THEM. Manny didn’t have much to do, but accept testing in the first place, Manny at the end of the day ducked that fight, if he wanted it, he would have taken the test YEARS ago and that would have been that. Unfortunately he couldn’t NOT get KTFO.. and he’s old news. Now what does Guerrero have to do with Manny again? stylistically? I don’t get it… you just wanted to write the name “Manny”? He’s just lost back to back fights, let it go. “Run” …if you describe a guy with Floyd’s punch accuracy as someone who “runs” you don’t know boxing… he gets you walking into stuff, and is also an ATG infighter… running is what ODH did with Trinidad, that got him the L… no punching back, just moving to avoid… with nothing else in mind. Oh, and keep underestimating FMJ. As I wrote, he’s grossly underrated. Guerrero’s only chance is clipping FMJ with something good and getting a stoppage, which will have NOTHING to do with your nonsense. FMJ will be winning that fight barring a one punch ordeal. FMJ doesn’t depend on his reflexes, and isn’t just a counter puncher… but hey… your prediction is your prediction.. I don’t need to argue with you about your opinions, they have to fight, two days.

Floyd is a very good fighter. I don’t think he’s underrated, he’s just not liked by a lot of people and never will be. His pompous, arrogant egotistical attitude and personality speak volumes about who he is and what he’s about. He would be so much more appreciated if he had some humble pie, manners and respect. For this fight, he will lose due to a lot of things that will come together. His speed, reflexes timing and legs will all be out of sync due to his inactivity and his age. He’s fighting a different southpaw that is young hungry and can do more than people think. He’s a bit taller, and he will use his jab a lot more than people think. Robert will have the emotional and spiritual drive to fight Mayweather in all areas. He’s not just a reckless wild brawler. He can box a little also. Guerrero isn’t the least bit intimidated, and Floyd will not be able to run and move like he’s used do when he was younger. You’ll see why Floyd wanted nothing to do with Manny Pacquiao. This style will baffle Floyd badly. Floyd will not be able to sit back and counter. Guerrero will make Floyd fight every second f every round. yes he’s going to get hit, but age and his faith in God will drive Guerrero to do what not many think he can do. A fighter that depends on reflexes. peed and timing lose it in their mid thirties especially when they have been inactive and gone through some type of turmoil in their personal lives. Floyd Mayweather meets all of this criteria. He will lose as did great fighters that relied on the above mentioned components and were great boxers. Roy Jones Jr, Sugar Ray Leonard, Sugar Ray Robinson, Shane Mosely, Age catches up to all fighters. Welcome the new welterweight champion of the world, Robert Guerrero. trust me on this, and don’t be surprised.

And if Ortiz buzzed FMJ, please tell me in what parts of what rounds. All I recall is Ortiz getting progressively timed with the right hand and quitting after what 3 rounds? and being down on two cards. Ortiz always quits, he’s mentally weak, and he quit against FMJ… like he always quits, he was frustrated from not being able to land clean… while still getting his eye closed (in a mere 2 rounds)

boniface: I won’t either, why when you can watch them gratis online? What’s your point?

Chip Mitchell: Floyd doesn’t need Guerrero to rush him, he’s an ATG counter puncher… who also happens to be an ATG “pure boxer” even though he’s not a pure anything, but a great everything. You keep underestimating FMJ sir… Guerrero has a chance if Floyd looks crap, and is MORE declined than I think he is… or at least, than I thought he was last year. We’ll see what happens. One thing I’ll point out, is how underrated Floyd’s power is… he moved up to 154… weighing in under 148… against a Cotto weighing over 165…. and HURT the guy… disconnected him in the 12th… Cotto has been STOPPED… from damage… loaded gloves and such… but Floyd DISCONNECTED HIM, on his feet…. at 154…. barring Floyd getting caught with something good… even if Floyd looks older than he’s been looking (and he’s been looking old) …he has some real power to hurt Guerrero… and it’s sneaky power… from technically correct punches from 1-12… that are sudden…. I wouldn’t be shocked and amazing if Floyd drops and TKO’s the super tough Guerrero. I wouldn’t be shocked if it doesn’t happen either… but equally not shocked.

who cares i will not spend a dime on this fight

Chip Mitchell: Floyd gives away early rounds? Floyd rarely loses rounds… I’m in the twilight zone with ESB this afternoon. FMJ is such an underrated fighter… all around it seems.

Robert Uzzell: Floyd had a bloody nose at least once last decade against Emmanuel Augustus, and was buzzed and blooded against Corely, those were fights in his “Corrales can’t even throw because Floyd’s coordination and speed is too much” days. So, I’ve seen him stray from his movement, and I think FLOYD actually can prove something, he can prove that he’s not so shot to the legs as people think. Cotto is a power boxer, who outweighed FMJ by about 15+ pounds on fight night.. and FMJ HURT Cotto badly multiple times in that bout… at 154…. not even Trout hurt Cotto so… uhm… Floyd’s still an underrated fighter… I don’t know why… but he is…

More comparable to RJJ in the aspect of defense? How is that? The many can parry, slip, and move for defense… he’s more comparable to RJJ than Bernard in the defense category only because he’s a very skillful technical defensive fighter (a fighter with great defense) who ALSO has great reflexes, and his offensive ATG sharpness helps his defense… but FMJ is 36, and he’s been hit… but not nearly as much as let on. His hit to not hit ratio is ATG.
