Old Coot

Ya’ll read carefully now…. Floyd Joy “Pretty Boy” “Money” Mayweather Jr. would sooner drag his balls through broken glass while soaked in jet fuel and set on fire than fight Canelo…

I think I hear yet another BS accusation of PED usage with demands for drug testing. But this time demanded of Canelo… That added to Floyd claiming he deserves $200 million to fight this guy.

PE- werent you the one saying that Trout was going to expose Canelo? what happened?…hahaha. Now Trout is a featherfisted fighter? Yet he beat the crap out of your former hero Cotto, which you turned your back on.

MAD SCIENTIST, as you point out, P-Enema has been in a spiraling meltdown ever since I personally sent him to Hell (lol). he’s on meltdown auto-pilot and every Mexican success or near-success only intensifies his envy, pain and self-loathing, i.e., imagine hating any and every positive aspiration that you ever had? desiring success, greatness, and global prominence but Hating it when it’s achieved by others? at this point, nothing i post could do a better job of exposing his lack of credibility or highlight his bitter and pathetic existence but let me try . . . Viva La Raza!

Trout was completely impotent v. Canelo. whether you credit Saul for his talent and skills or dismiss Trout for his lack thereof, Trout was the one that all of you Canelo-Haters (and simply boxing-ignoramuses) were clamoring for Canelo to face, which he did, and thoroughly defeated. bottomline, Trout didn’t execute squat and the one-and-only Trout highlight was him recovering from being Dropped with a single-punch to finish the round during which he was being steadily pot-shotted despite doing everything he could to retaliate for the KD. either Canelo was too good for Trout to connect against or Trout isn’t very good to begin with. take your pick, “experts”.

Gotta know when stop talking so much crap

The violent end capped a roller-coaster ride through life for the flamboyant Camacho. Tuesday night shooting occurred outside a bar in Camacho’s native Puerto Rico, where he was sitting inside a parked car with a pal who was killed by the gunman. The slain friend was carrying nine small bags of cocaine, while an open 10th bag was found inside the car with Camacho – who was plagued by drug and alcohol woes in recent years.

Zab Judah is HOF worthy when the time comes… He’s a 2 division World Champion and won 5 world titles at various times.. He’s got a Hell of lot higher winning percentage than many in the Hall… Don’t be stupid… Judah has more World Championship rounds than Garcia has rounds period… Judah has more KO’s than Garcia has fights.

This was a good win for Garcia. Just because Foreman crushed Frazier and Ali had a super hard time with him doesn’t prove anything. A victory is a victory.

Zab Judah is NOT going to the HOF thats a CRAZY statement Judahs a serial loser and he is 35 NOT 32…. Erik Morales was washed up, soft in the middle and fighting well above his best weight he was struggling with a limited fighter like David Diaz at 135 when he was YOUNGER….Khan was NOT unbeaten he had already been knockec out and lost to Lamont Peterson in the prior fight, it was indeed a very good win for Garcia over a known chinny fighter….. This whole Mexico vs PR thing has gotten BORING as hell and the outright bigotry is distasteful and colors and invalidates most of your stances…. Garcia is a good young fighter but he is NOT Great nor has he shown as many dimensions as Canelo who strikes me as having more staying power…. Seriously Erik Morales at 140?? He cannot even make weight properly anymore…

Canelo needs Memo Hernadez to fix his stamina problem

Posted April 27, 2013 5:49 pm

Posted April 27, 2013 5:48 pm

@ Q. I agree somewhat my friend. However some of canelo stamina problems coulda been caused by all that extra weight he was carrying. 172lbs for a middle weight is alot of weight for his frame! I think Garcia is going to steam roll Judah! Hate to say that cause I like Zab!

Posted April 27, 2013 5:21 pm

If Canelo isn’t protected, he fights Lara his mandatory, he just fought a southpaw, why not go and fight another afterwards.. heck… Cotto could beat him, but he is in a strong division, what I now know is that he can get gassed and effected badly halfway through a bout against a non puncher…. surely his team has seen what I’ve seen, and he will no way fight a Lara or even a Vanes… people that will hurt him MORE, as he gasses in the mid rounds. Danny Garcia is a better fighter and more accomplished than Canelo right now IMO.

Posted April 27, 2013 3:40 pm

Lara would be a sparring session? I’m sorry but he was COMPLETELY EXHAUSTED in the middle rounds, and had to completely disengage against a non puncher, his talent got him through that relatively close bout. He didn’t put on a show and it was NOT any spectacular performance, unless I’m in the twilight zone, but admittedly I’ve been feeling as if I were lately.. but seriously… Trouts awkwardness wasn’t enough, his length wasn’t enough, but it wasn’t bad either. We now know Canelo can beat awkward fighters around his size in close bouts. Lara would win from what I saw. I even think Vanes can beat him definitely after Canelo gasses mid way through after getting starched from body shots. You people can blow smoke up his a-hole all you want, but being serious… all I saw was a very solid fighter whose being built up as something he definitely is not at this moment at all. Lara is less “awkward” more technical and a harder puncher than trout…. yes, duck that mandatory (Lara) and try to get the old WW to move up for the third time to a weight he can’t make. IF you win, ALL the green white and red americans and aspiring americans will cherish that moment for eternity, even if Floyd were 55.

SREDMOND – So you were impressed with Canelo surviving a fight with smaller 43 year old Mosely but not with young Danny Dropping Eric Morales in their first fight and then KnockinghimdafkoutCold back to Tiajuana in their Second fight, oh and lets not forget Eric Morales tested positive for banned substances vs Danny in their Second fight.. fker was juiced to the Gills.. typical dirty trick by these low life Chihuahuas… Canelo has done nothing to be considered a great anything.. Nada… still a protected Goldenboy little princess….

Willing to fight older smaller shot fighters.. because he sure as Hell isn’t willing to fight his mandatory Erislandy Lara… or any of the other guys his true size who can punch… he barely survived a bout with feather fisted Trout, gassing out in the Middle rounds… Lucky for him Trout took it easy on him like Mosely did…

Posted April 27, 2013 12:59 pm

Bottom line is Canelo is willing to fight, which is what a fighter is supposed to do, Trout also fits in that category along with Broner etc…. All that other drivel is moot

Posted April 27, 2013 12:53 pm

Canelo was not impressive in the least to me. He fought well, showed some defense, but he would get beat easily by Martinez, Lara, Chavez and Quinlin. He was a mirage vs Trout because Trout was off. He was seeing things right, and he wasn’t himself. That along with the horrible judging gave Canelo a win, but these other guys would beat him IMO.

Posted April 27, 2013 12:12 pm

If Floyd fights Canelo he should try to convince canelo to fight him at 147. He could prob beat him at that weight. It wouldnt be wise or health for Floyd to fight this young lion at 154! Canelo is the truth and has arrived! He surprised me by showing good movement and boxing skills against trout. Needs to work on his stamina though. He appear to tire down the stretch

Posted April 27, 2013 11:23 am

In actuality Mayweather would do better to fight Canelo sooner than later, Floyd is getting up there in age and waiting till he is 38 to fight a bigger fighter who will be only 24 by then is increased risk…He might as well fight Canelo before the mileage further piles up, maybe next May at the latest…

Posted April 27, 2013 10:57 am

Public Enemey, I know that your agenda is motivated by bloodlust against Mexicans but lets get real Garcia is not gonna be remembered as Great of even very good for smashing a TOTALLY washed up version of Erik Morales who Pacquiao had put to bed YEARS ago…. He had an OLD man in the ring and did what he was supposed to… Morales was best 130 and below he was getting his bell rung by David Diaz at 135….

Tomato Can, to hear these guys tell it Canelo beat Trout the way Mayweather beat Gatti which is about 360 degrees of difference…. Its bizzarre how the internet allows people to defy reality…. Austin Trout was VERY much in that contest and with a few adjustments could have won… I like Canelos heavier shots and the KD to get him the win along with some better than expected defense but he sure as hell did not make Trout look like they had no business in the ring together… I felt Cottos effort against Mayweather was a scenario where Floyd clearly won but did NOT dominate Miguel in his usual fashion and that was not crazy because Cotto is a World Class multi-weight Champion… Cotto’s face was swollen and contused yet the action was solid between the guys with Floyd winning but not running away with a number of rounds…. Canelo put Trout down but he did not put a scratch on him and was inactive for a long time…. Canelo has plenty to improve upon from that performance in my eyes…

Posted April 27, 2013 10:34 am

Canelo/Trout was. Close fight. Both fighter deserve props. Canelo got the knock down which helped his cause, but Trout had his moments. Too bad he didn’t seem to realize he hurt Alvarez to the body in the 6th or 7th.

HaHa, I guess Oscar “made Mayweather lose weight” too??? Floyd has fought at 154 2x in 17 years and 2x in th past 6 years while NEVER hitting the scale at 154 on fight night… Canelos a newbie who like everyone else wants to fight FMJ for the big payday and noteriety 40,000 peeps paying $25 is nothing compared to fights in Vegas where the gate is $15 million …. Not to mention the PPV revenue which brought in $95 million last bout… Canelos the King of Texas, Floyd’s the King of Boxing and Planet Earth… Highest paid athlete in the world Canelo does not even begin to make that list…

Guys betting against Mayweather are betting on TIME and SIZE at this point we know that no one has much shot of beating him in his proper weight class… The BEST years for a normal boxers have pretty much come and gone, hes 36 years old and if he is going to lose it will be over he course of these next 6 contests most likely because he will be pushing 40 where athletic performance usually drops off markedly… We have been hearing “hes gonna lose” forever now Canelo against Floyd moving in his prime would have lost 12-0 he was WAYYYY to fast of hand and foot… NOW Canelo would lose 9-3, because he is still too flatfooted and his only assetts would be his body mass and youth… Seriously Alvarez has shown nothing from a skills perspective to put himself in Mayweathers league, he’s a very good young fighter who can punch everything else will have to be proved over the course of some years…. Beating Austin Trout in a relatively close bout does not brand you Great….

Posted April 27, 2013 7:36 am

And he doesn’t have crossover appeal, one big reason being that he doesn’t speak English, another being that he’s not good enough. How are you going to COMPLETELY fade out and COMPLETELY disengage against a non puncher that you’d hurt badly in prior rounds? Had nothing left, it was boo worthy really. Zero cross over appeal honestly. Give me a break.

Posted April 27, 2013 7:24 am

Canelo was drained and effected from the bodyshots by the way. Trout just wasn’t the guy to take it to him and take him down, he was actually very tired very early. The ONLY thing that saved him was that Trout isn’t aggressive, doesn’t have the power to really “mess with him” and wasn’t committing, couldn’t adjust. Canelo gasses badly, and misses horrible when he misses, and waits for one shot. That’s what I learned from that bout. He didn’t drown stepping up, but give me a break, lol.

Posted April 27, 2013 7:22 am

Lol, did you all not see how HORRIFICALLY Señor Canelo would miss when he missed on those hooks? Listen, it was a competitive fight and Trout was outgunned, Canelo even was a bit quicker than him, but I can see Canelo losing to a few others, but they won’t fight those guys. I can see Vanes beating Canelo (with that benefit of more brutal power) Erislandy Lara could also take him out. Trout just isn’t accurate nor powerful enough, he’s a slickster who got out talented largely due to Canelo’s strength and pop advantage.. but come on now folks, we aren’t seeing any elite craft when he goes on the ropes, doesn’t throw any punches at all and twist aimlessly because he knows the other guy won’t commit because it’s not his style and he’s already a bit intimidated by the power difference and even being a bit slower. I don’t know if FMJ fights him next, but rather Alvarez gets the bout with FMJ next or not, he’s very beatable HIMSELF, let alone the 37 year old boxer moving back up to a weight where he doesn’t belong. I still think FLoyd beats that kid (depending on how worn he looks in the Robert Guerrero bout, he’s been slowing down for a minute now, but he’s still a ton better than what Canelo showed in his Trout bout I’m positive). I’m actually shocked people are talking about Canelo after that performance.. oooh, I get it… Cotto won 2 or 3 rounds against FMJ (getting staggered and hurt throughout the bout by FMJ, and almost stopped in the 12th) and Trout beat him (without much accuracy, just mostly outworking, and never effecting Cotto as FMJ did)… so you can think about it in another way… FMJ displayed more accuracy and power etc against Cotto than what Trout showed, and Trout had a neck and neck bout with Canelo, so that actually doesn’t bode well for Alvarez when you think about it. Then, styles make fights… Trout’s style wasn’t great against Canelo, a more talented man… He’s not more talented than FMJ, although he’s bigger… and he doesn’t pressure guys well…. he hurt Trout early in one of the mid rounds …and could never hurt the guy again. He’s not a finisher, and he was looking for one shot the ENTIRE night… give me a break guys. Lara beats Alvarez.. I also think Vanes could beat him, and yes I think FMJ beats him if he doesn’t look old and shot next weekend.

Posted April 27, 2013 7:18 am

Canelo might have felt some body shots but Trout got dropped an wobbled numerous times.

The Low Blow !

LOL Canelo had to take his foot off the pedal because Austin had hurt him to the body thats why Canelo stood off and wouldnt engage during the middle to later rounds everyone saying how his defense is all this and that .. Canel was hurt to the body and he knew that if he kept up like he had been or more to the point if Austin kept attacking his body he would have got dropped !

Posted April 27, 2013 5:42 am

He just beat the guy that everyone was saying would possibly give Floyd his toughest fight styles wise, Canelo is willing to step in with anyone and put everything on the line, that is what is making him a great fighter, getting better every fight too, the only thing I foresee is he will eventually have to move up in weight where he will be a really small middleweight.
