Do you want Ortiz to win? Join the crowd!

By Paul Strauss: No, the question wasn’t, “Do you think Ortiz will win?” Experts, most fans, and just anyone but Oscar De La Hoya, already have given their overwhelming response of “No” to that question. There are a few who might go out on a limb and say, “He has a slim chance”, but that’s about it. So there’s not much interest in soliciting answers to that query.

However, what happens when you confront yourself with how you feel? What would you prefer to see happen?. What’s your heart and soul tell you? No, no, you’re still missing the point. Don’t think in terms of an undefeated record, best defense, more experience, or even whether he’s black or Hispanic? That’s not the criteria needed here. What’s needed here is what’s in your gut?

Certainly, you can strap on side-bar questions like, “What’s best for boxing?” Or, “Is my thinking biased or prejudiced in anyway?” Another way to mess up the process is by guilting yourself into simply wanting to be fair. Screw that! Be honest and admit it if you don’t want him to win simply because you don’t like him and the way he behaves or misbehaves. You know your feelings really are not based on his fighting style, or his life style. Be honest, your desire for an Ortiz win might simply be because you think Little Money is an obnoxious ass.

You’re not alone. Apparently, there is a very large group of people that have gone so far as to say Little Money’s behavior is so bad that he’s progressed way beyond ass to assholic or assholian. (Their words, not mine.) Those people don’t feel they’re being criticus maximus when they point out Little Money is pathetic when he attempts to defend his assitude. They argue he just makes a bigger assidiotic of himself. These courageous critics expect to be attacked, but they don’t care. They take solice knowing their attackers, the assmosis or kiss-ass Little Money fans further reveal their limited mental stattis to be that of asstards. Pretty strong words, but that’s how they feel.

This group[remains strong and refuses to do the W.O.S (walk of shame) for feeling the way they do. They believe there’s no need for a woohoo explanation either. It’s understood. They aren’t about to apologize. They believe their feelings are natural and honest. They hunger to see things go wonderbad wonce for Little Money-Maybe, because in their gut they know he is nothing but a replicant mookalook! If and when he gets throttled, this group will be content. They will have found their happy place, and gained much satisfaction in knowing their haranguing of the chump champ antagonist has helped reveal him for asymdope that he truly is.
